Chapter 1323: Chapter 1308: Where I Stand, Henceforth Is the King’s Domain Chapter 1323: Chapter 1308: Where I Stand, Henceforth Is the King’s Domain Upon hearing someone adamantly defending himself against being called a monster, the Dragon Slayers found themselves momentarily at a loss for words.

According to their experience, humans with an amount of Dragon Blood in their bodies beyond a certain limit would no longer see themselves as human; humans would appear to them as nothing more than ordinary wild beasts.

However, this fellow indeed did not regard ordinary people as beings like himself, but neither did he treat them as ants that could be casually crushed underfoot—this much was evident from his behavior of continuously gathering beautiful members of the opposite sex through the instincts of his lower half.

This individual, whose body contained a severely excessive amount of Dragon Blood, viewed himself as a being superior and more perfect than ordinary humans. While this status wasn’t incorrect, he was entirely different from typical Dragonkin.

“So, on what basis do you distinguish friend from foe? Merely by the concentration of Dragon Blood in one’s body?”

Auston, looking down at the otherworldly dragon descendants squabbling beneath his feet and listening to their argumentative chatter, revealed an extremely subtle expression. Of course, these humans couldn’t discern the change in his expression.

In his eyes, the human standard for distinguishing allies from enemies was truly nonsensical. He contemplated briefly, discerning the root cause, which wasn’t the purity of the Dragon Blood, but rather its overwhelming potency’s impact on the mentality and thinking of the Awakeners.

But the fact that such occurrences took place was ultimately because the Awakeners themselves were too weak. Therefore, they were subject to corruption by the messages contained in the Dragon Blood, developing anti-human thoughts. Only a minority with exceptional talent could somewhat resist the influence of the Dragon Blood.

Upon further reflection, the reason for such events lay in the fact that the humans of this world lacked their own Extraordinary Inheritance; all the extraordinary powers they wielded came from the Dragon Race. As a result, the stronger they became, the closer they approached being dragons, and the human aspect within them was incessantly suppressed and twisted.

This situation was entirely different from that in Elasia. Despite their reliance on Dragon Blood, the Dragon Vein Sorcerers of Elasia possessed powerful self-will cultivation methods. No matter how much their Dragon Blood intensity increased, even to the point where they could transform into Giant Dragons, they would not allow the messages carried by the Dragon Blood to twist and sway them, unless they voluntarily chose to do so. The vast majority of Dragon Vein Sorcerers would not deny the race they were born into.

Auston could see the crux of the issue, but such reasoning could not be used to persuade these people, who simply would not listen; the matter was beyond their comprehension.

“Forget it, let’s keep things simple.”

After thinking it over, Auston decided to end what he considered a meaningless battle with a relatively forceful approach, using it as an opportunity to declare the presence of Lord Mureya to this Domain, and to mentally prepare its inhabitants.

“I do not care what reasons you may have, but from now on, all conflicts and battles at the extraordinary level are forbidden.”

Radiating with crimson light, Auston, having been strengthened by the divine power of fire through the god position [fire] controlled by Muria, emitted a majestic and resonant roar.

In an instant, day gave way to night, and the already dazzling red northern lights in the starry sky became even more splendid, dispelling all darkness, causing the stars and moon to pale in comparison.

“Where I stand is the territory of my king, and you all are subjects of my king; obey the laws of my king!”

“Principal George, what is your view on this matter?”

In the spacious and orderly conference room with a monochromatic tone, holograms materialized in their respective seats, bringing together big figures from various powers, spread across thousands of miles, to the same conference room for face-to-face discussion.

At this moment, a middle-aged woman with a thin face and slightly harsh features looked towards the white-haired elder who was the only one physically present in the conference room, seated at the head of the table.

“What else is there to think? Of course, just sit and watch,” the old man replied, facing the high-ranking members of the different human societal forces. He was not the slightest bit tense; in fact, he seemed quite relaxed.

“Principal George, watch your words. This meeting will decide the future of humanity; now is not the time for jokes,” said someone with furrowed brows, visibly disgruntled by the old man’s flippant attitude.

“I am not joking; that is my answer. I know what you all expect, but sorry, I cannot give the answer you want,” the old man replied formally as he sat up straight.

“We allocate a substantial amount of funds to the Academy every year, and it’s not to hear such replies from you at this critical time.”

“Heh, I can tell you very seriously that I haven’t wasted a penny of the investment you’ve made in the Academy. Every single bit has been used to train warriors to contend with dragons. It is precisely because of this that you folks can sit comfortably in your positions, jockeying for personal gains with your own kind,” he stated firmly.

“Principal George, we all recognize the contributions the Academy has made to human civilization under your management. But, as you can see, a dragon capable of overturning human civilization has appeared. We must ensure humanity’s dominant position in the world. So, is there really no way to kill this dragon?”

“I’ve told you, I cannot give the answer you wish for. This dragon has surpassed the scope of what the Academy can handle,” the old man asserted as he gazed at the questioning general, recalling the man’s identity—the de facto general of the world’s leading superpower.

“You have observed the size of this dragon’s body through your respective methods, and I will not speak of the tremendous power it possesses. Merely with its size alone, it could crush any army in the world.”

The white-haired elder stared at the image in the center of the conference table. The Giant Dragon, simply by squatting there, towered over every natural or artificial creation around it. Human buildings seemed like toys in front of him.

“It is precisely because of this that we have sought you out. We have consulted many tactical forecast experts to predict the outcome of launching an attack on this dragon. But the results are all similar. Human weapons, whether conventional or unconventional, cannot harm the dragon but will only enrage it.”

“So, you pin your hopes on the Academy, huh? I’m sorry, but this is a battle without the prospect of victory. My students can sacrifice themselves in a war against dragons, but they won’t simply go to their deaths without cause.”

“Then do you want to watch as the Dragon Race tramples over our human civilization? Do you truly wish to see the current dominant status of humans overturned, becoming either servants or captive food for the dragons?”

“Of course not.”

“Since that’s the case, why then do you shy away from the fight?”

“Are you not just hoping that our Academy can test the extent of this dragon’s power?”

A life of experience equating to legend had long allowed the Principal to discern the true reasons these big figures had come to him.

They were well aware that a mere body over two hundred meters long, capable of effortlessly causing widespread atmospheric changes, meant the dragon was already beyond the combat capacity of the Academy.

Because this unusual creature was so powerful, the forces of various nations hesitated to act, not even daring to launch a probing attack. Hence, they were hoping to find someone sufficiently strong, a warrior who could test some of the power held by the Giant Dragon.

“Cough, Principal George, we…”

“Why are your thoughts so narrow? Apart from confrontation and submission, can you truly not conceive of a third way to coexist with these otherworldly beings?” the Academy Principal, established with the purpose of Dragon slaying, sighed and uttered something astonishing.

“Are you suggesting cooperation? Is that a feasible path? From what we understand about dragons, aren’t they all arrogantly proud Creatures?”

“Indeed, in the eyes of those dragons, we humans are probably not much better than ants. How can we achieve cooperation when there is such a disparity in strength?”

“True, we humans simply do not possess the power to contend with those truly mighty dragons, but we do have the foundation to destroy the world.”

George placed his hands on the conference table, leaned forward, and assumed an imposing posture. A subtle smile appeared on his face, “Show these dragons that we humans, even if willing to march towards destruction, refuse to submit. Then, we will have the possibility of entering into cooperation with them.”

“Just a possibility?”

“Merely a possibility. According to human records, the beings at the very top of the Dragon Race hierarchy hold the mighty power to create worlds. Our weapons can destroy the world, but in the end, that’s merely scratching the surface. To the world, it’s actually nothing of consequence.”

“So to threaten them with this for the purpose of seeking cooperation would be foolish, wouldn’t it?”

“This is the best possible outcome, worth the attempt; the results could not be worse than this, whether we succeed or fail.”

“Cooperation?”

Seeing that the natives of this Domain, manipulating a group of puppets, had come before him and uttered such a word, Auston struggled not to laugh. After all, these humans were truly courageous, deserving of praise.

“Yes, we humans are a peace-loving race, and we hope to…” Due to the pressure exerted by Auston, no human could face his majesty directly. The human elite could only resort to machines to barely communicate with him.

“Enough, I am well aware of what kind of race you are, better than you know yourselves. I can tell you now the reason for my presence here is to bring you under my king’s rule without destroying the existing order.”

“Rule?” The human elites, compelled to gather together under the pressure of Auston’s presence, all changed their expressions upon hearing such a response.

“Oh, right, I’m informing you, not declaring war. I’ve already investigated this place; indeed, there are signs left by ancient and great beings, but alas, they have not remained with you. Therefore, you don’t even possess the qualifications to be taken seriously by my master.”
