King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 1299 - 1299 1285 Communication Between Ancient Epics

Chapter 1299: Chapter 1285: Communication Between Ancient Epics Chapter 1299: Chapter 1285: Communication Between Ancient Epics “What is the relationship between you two?”

Upon witnessing the half-blood Titan emitting a ferocious aura, Empress Candice still maintained her composure without the slightest hint of agitation. Although the dominator had a minor outburst, it didn’t exceed her control limit.

At the epic level, for mortal things, a breakthrough during a fight that becomes a legend and defeating a powerful enemy is but a mere joke.

If dominators enter into conflict with each other, and one differs by a realm, then the outcome of the battle is all but certain. If they are on the same realm, it is a contest of who has accumulated a deeper foundation.

Counting on a breakthrough in the heat of battle to achieve a turnaround is nearly impossible. If you can’t win, you can’t win; no miracles will happen. Muria’s action was just a minor surge of power.

Therefore, at this moment, Empress Candice was calm and collected, treating Muria as nothing more than an object within her grasp, to handle and manipulate at will.

“She is my mother.”

As Muria responded, he gripped the sword in his hand and slashed towards the Empress before him. His combat power had reached its peak as far as he could push it, with no room for further improvement.

By his own assessment, Muria believed his combat power had surpassed the Fusion realm, but had not fully reached the Pseudo-realm. At best, he was half a Pseudo-realm, which was barely enough to even contend with the Empress before him.

But even so, he had no choice but to face her head-on. After all, he couldn’t count on anybody else at the moment, be it his mother or his grandfather. They couldn’t offer him much help, at least that’s how he saw it.

“You two don’t seem to be of the same race, but you have inherited part of your mother’s bloodline. Are you a hybrid? Judging by your current actions, does the other part of your inheritance come from an extremely belligerent race?”

The Insect Race Empress effortlessly shattered the sword Qi Muria had slashed at her with a casual gesture, an action that made Muria feel helplessly at ease; he could not threaten this Empress.

“Hmph!”

Without responding, Muria wielded the Spear of the Sun Chaser in his hand—a weapon that would follow his will and hit his target—and hurled it at Empress Candice.

Transformed into a bolt of Golden Thunder, the Spear of the Sun Chaser shot towards Candice, the Void thundered, and Thunder exploded. The Insect Race Empress Candice didn’t show any intention of dodging, so

The Spear of the Sun Chaser, as usual, hit Muria’s chosen target, but it didn’t cause any damage as it had in the past because it was firmly grasped in a hand that appeared to lack strength.

Tiny sparks of electricity scurried over the Empress’s hand, but the Thunder that could scorch ordinary Epics left not a single mark on the Empress’s armored hands.

“Common sense dictates that against an insurmountable opponent like me, a normal Epic would choose to flee. Why do you choose to fight me? Is it because of your bloodline? If the bloodline you inherited is so, how has the race that carries this bloodline continued to exist in the Void?”

Empress Candice, who had forcibly seized control of Muria’s Exclusive Weapon, voiced her slight curiosity.

Muria, who had just lost control over one of his Exclusive Weapons, paused for a brief moment upon hearing this and fell into a very short contemplation. Ever since the appearance of that grey insect race, he had not entertained a single thought of retreat.

Was it the influence of the Titan Bloodline? Had it turned him into a brash and impulsive brute? No, it was not so. Although the Titans’ style of combat was expansive and dominant, a force to be reckoned with like an unrivaled brute, Titans were not truly brutes. By the same logic, he was not a brute either.

The reason he had no thought of retreat was because of the presence of his Ancestor Shiyu. In his consciousness, with his ancestor as the backbone, all he had to do was resist and persist. If he could just hold out until his ancestor made a move, then the battle would come to an abrupt end.

He didn’t feel that with his old ancestor behind him, there would be any risk, although he was indeed in a dire state at the moment. But that was only a relative term; he wasn’t in any danger of falling.

With this thought, Muria no longer entertained any stray ideas and concentrated on the battle. Since he couldn’t recall the Spear of the Sun Chaser, he simply gave up; after all, he had enough weapons to spare.

“Hmm? You’re discarding this one?”

Feeling the resistance of the Long Spear in her hand drop by a whole level, Empress Candice asked, although the material used to forge this weapon was of little significance in her eyes, being only slightly troublesome to seek. Still, a weapon nurtured by an Epic was precious to her.

Clang!

Several intersecting sword Qi appeared before the Empress, then began to spread, filling the Void in front of her.

Ha!

Candice gripped the Spear of the Sun Chaser, now reverted to metal, and despite the spirited struggle of the weapon, forcibly used it to block all the sword Qi.

The clangs of the sword Qi striking against metal reverberated through the Void, and the Titan who unleashed the sword Qi felt so anguished he wanted to cough up blood. This was both a mental and physical devastation for him.

“Your weapon is not bad, but unfortunately, it doesn’t suit me very well,”

Under Muria’s agitated and furious gaze, Empress Candice grasped both ends of the Spear of the Sun Chaser. Behind the empress, a hazy vision of a world’s echo appeared, followed by the emergence of complex and incomprehensible fluctuations of laws, and then

As if heaven and earth were shattering, a thunderous exploding noise echoed within Muria’s mind, causing a headache as if his head would split. He looked at Candice’s hands to see the long spear, now broken in two.

At this moment, although the divine weapon was broken, and its spirit severely damaged, it still possessed its own will, attempting to resist based on its instincts.

However, such resistance was almost negligible in the eyes of the empress. Nevertheless, since the Spear of the Sun Chaser was of no further value in her eyes, she cast it aside.

Muria silently retrieved his shattered weapon, without rage, without wailing. At this juncture, any sound would only be the whining of a defeated dog, the impotence of frenzied fury. Only battle is the best retaliation for one’s plight.

The half-blood Titan transformed into the complete form of the Dragon King in the Void, spread its wings and roared. Then, the Dragon King, clad in shattered armor, lunged towards the slender figure.

“You are no match for me!”

Witnessing Muria’s transformation into a new form, Empress Candice of the Insect Race chuckled lightly. Her hands, seemingly not exerting much force, wafted through the air, causing the Void itself to tremble. The slender, elongated palm eventually came to rest on the blade of a battle axe…

The shattered blade of the axe scattered into the Void, and the majestic body of the Dragon King, under the seemingly gentle palm, was torn asunder, only to regenerate and come together in the blink of an eye, to be blown apart once again in the next moment.

It was a completely unequal battle. The Shiyu Dominator, with the battlefield reflected in his eyes, understood this clearly. There was no hope of victory for his bloodline, impure as it was, in this battle.

Without external intervention, even if the young Dragon King who appeared to be merely spectating and holding back one or two tricks were to come to their aid, the best outcome they could hope for was to retreat in one piece.

Instantly assessing the power balance on the battlefield, the Dominator shifted his gaze. His concern was not limited to this battlefield alone, the other Titans craving challengers had also met opponents slightly stronger than themselves.

In the Void, several fiercely engaged battlefields flickered past the ancient Titan’s gaze. The race named the Insect Race had deployed entities capable of confronting their epic combatants, yet none were capable of standing against him… no, none that evoked the desire within him to take action.

“Hmm, there it is.”

The ancient Titan holding the scepter had an inexplicable gleam in his eye. With a step that bore no astonishing phenomena, he stepped off the world beneath his feet and entered the Void.

As he left, thousands of seemingly ordinary medium and small worlds scattered across a certain world community simultaneously vibrated with an odd buzzing, as if cheering with relief at the disappearance of a threat.

“Do you not feel it beneath your dignity to intervene in these children’s battles, as a being about to enter eternity?”

The blue sea spread out in the Void, obstructing everything, and the Titan who was blocked did not get angry, for this was exactly what he wanted.

“The Ancestor Empress of the Insect Race?”

Still revealing no aura, the Titan stood in the Void with the scepter in his hand. Despite his inaction, the blue sea that surged in the Void halted in front of him.

“Hehe, it seems I have misunderstood you. You apparently have no intention of interfering in these children’s battles. It’s me you’re after,”

A presence, having enveloped the Void with merely a fraction of its mental power, laughed, its tone even-tempered.

“I’m asking if you are.”

Hearing this evasive answer, the Shiyu Dominator frowned, and as he did, the sea which had been calming before him suddenly churned with monstrous waves as if invisible gigantic beasts were surging within.

“Although you are very powerful, you do not possess the privilege to make the Ancestor appear.”

“Is that so!” The Shiyu Dominator nodded, unfazed. He knew he was not amongst the strongest in the Void, but among those still wandering there, he could be considered one of the mightiest.

“Then, what are you?”

“By the classification of ordinary beings, I am a direct blood relative of the Ancestor Empress, the second-generation Empress of the Insect Race. Of course, we of the Insect Race do not care much for such things, so to be precise, I am just an Insect Race Empress who has lived relatively long,” the Empress capable of drawing out the Shiyu Dominator answered humbly, “May I know your identity?”

“A Titan who has lived relatively long.”
