Chapter 1280 - 1280 1266 Epic Handmaid Group

Chapter 1280: Chapter 1266: Epic Handmaid Group Chapter 1280: Chapter 1266: Epic Handmaid Group “What on earth are you talking about?” Dimos furrowed his brow, “You’ve been eavesdropping for a while, you should have understood. This Insect Queen was captured by me, and when I captured her, she released this substance for self-preservation. I haven’t found a way to open it yet, so how could I possibly hurt her?”

“No, that’s not right, Father, you just said you had glimpsed her memories. She sealed herself to ensure the secrets of her race weren’t leaked.”

Golden Dragon Mother narrowed her eyes, seizing on a lapse in her grandfather’s words, “There was a period of time when you could directly contact her.”

“What can I do in such a short time?” Dimos was exceedingly frustrated—he was the Dragon King, after all!

“A lot.” Golden Dragon Mother revealed a ladylike smile, but this unscrupulous smile seemed full of malice to Muria.

“I only explored her memories,” Dimos reaffirmed. He was the Dragon King. Even if he wanted to do something, how could a mere few days suffice?

“Who knows? But I don’t care. I only need to record this matter and later recount it faithfully to my mother,” Golden Dragon Mother smiled gorgeously.

“I will tell my mother that you, Father, forcibly captured a beautiful queen in a Different World using force, and you also keep her by your side, trying every means to understand everything about her.”

“Isn’t that just wildly slandering and distorting the facts?” Dimos was laughed into helplessness by his own outrageous daughter.

“Father, don’t talk nonsense, where did I distort anything? I am merely stating the facts.”

Golden Dragon Mother spread her hands, “Father, if you really think you haven’t done anything wrong, then you can simply reject my threat and not pay me to keep quiet.”

“Tell me, what do you want?” Dimos sighed, conceding. Although he hadn’t done anything wrong, according to his daughter’s words, being right was still wrong with some matters left unclarifiable.

“I don’t want anything else, just let me study this little queen, okay?”

“Just that?” Dimos was surprised.

“Yeah, then hand her over to me.” Sensing her father’s tone, Golden Dragon Mother immediately pushed further.

“Here you go.”

Without any hesitation, Dimos threw the crystal he held to Golden Dragon Mother; the massive, house-sized metallic crystal hurtled towards the golden-haired young woman, who easily dodged it and then stepped on it.

“What do you want with her?”

“Need you ask? She’s simply gorgeous!” Golden Dragon Mother stood on the golden crystal, declaring as if it were the most natural thing. The near ten-meter-tall body of the queen within the crystal contrasted sharply with her diminutive frame.

“Not for study?”

“Study what? Didn’t you say you had already studied her? If you couldn’t open it, I guess I won’t have any way either.” Golden Dragon Mother was very straightforward; her areas of expertise overlapped by at least 90% with those of her father—if he couldn’t manage it, she probably couldn’t either.

“So you’re purely after collecting this Insect Queen,”

“Exactly!”

“…” Dimos had nothing more to say.

“Such a beautiful creature, and in such a state, she’s just a perfect piece of art. Isn’t it normal that I want to collect her?”

“She is dangerous,” Dimos said earnestly, “This crystal is the Insect Queen’s self-protection method, meaning she could break free at any moment, putting you in unpredictable danger.”

“What danger could there be?” Golden Dragon Mother scoffed, “You managed to capture her alive without even using your true form, forcing this sweet little thing to seal herself. Would I be any worse?

Besides, if she does break the seal, all the better. I won’t have to trouble myself. I can just tame her directly and make her my handmaid.”

“Don’t be fooled by her appearance, Atris,” Dimos cautioned with seriousness. If it had been a thousand years ago, he would have been terribly worried about his daughter’s remarks. Fortunately, now she had companions and descendants, so he did not have to worry about this matter.

“I am indeed captivated by her looks, but I haven’t been seduced by her. I just want to find myself some eye-pleasing, high-quality handmaids,” Atris said cheerily, being a loyal admirer of beauty.

“You want several?” Dimos was startled by his daughter’s remarks. Such thoughts, should he pride himself on being her father? Full of boldness, yet far too dangerous.

“What’s the problem?” Golden Dragon Mother grinned, “Didn’t you just say it? She’s not a unique, special individual. Her race stands behind her, and beings like her are not uncommon, so my idea of forming a Queen’s Handmaid Team is entirely feasible.”

“Since you heard what I just said, then why listen only in part? The Insect Race has even more powerful entities, the existence of Epic Queens is undoubtedly certain. Do you still intend for such beings to serve as your handmaids?”

“Hmm, having an Epic of the Insect Race serve indeed feels like an injustice; she can be my Head Handmaid then!” Atris considered for a moment and then responded very seriously.

“And what about Miss Sophia?” Muria suddenly interjected, “What about her?”

“Sophia is still my head female servant, in charge of managing everything after I leave. As for the Insect Queen, she follows me, joining me on my campaigns,” Titan stated.

“My daughter, when did you become so unaware of yourself, not knowing your own strength? And you still want an Epic to be your head female servant?” Mother rebuked.

“Can’t I focus on the present and dream a little about my wonderful future?” Sophia replied.

“You are too prideful. If you wish for an Epic to be your handmaid, you must at least reach the levels of the Titan Tribe, the Shiyu Dominator,” Titan countered.

“Alright, I’ve decided, from now on, the Shiyu Dominator will be my goal,” said Golden Dragon Mother as she turned to look down at Muria. “Let’s work hard together, kiddo, and try to capture an Insect Queen to serve as a handmaid soon.”

“Ah, the Shiyu Dominator has always been my goal, but capturing a queen to be a handmaid is unnecessary; I’m not interested,” Muria firmly declared.

“Eh, is it because of Michaela? Tsk, she’s so controlling. You’re too pitiful, not even having that bit of autonomy?” Golden Dragon Mother teased.

“No, it’s a conscious decision as a partner,” Muria explained.

“You’re overdoing it, Little Muria. Relax a bit.”

“What happened? Why have we been suddenly summoned?” In the Dark Void, multiple streams of formless and insubstantial Mental Power forcefully swept through, pulverizing everything material in their path, causing the Void to tremble.

“I’ve lost contact with Altis!” a majestic river-like Mental Power gathered in the Void, conjuring a translucent female figure. As she appeared, all material changes in the surrounding Void solidified as if time itself had stopped.

“Who is Altis?” asked an entity capable of shattering the Void with pure Mental Power, its confusion apparent. Her memory search revealed no matching entity.

“You’ve slept too long, Ahta. Altis is the daughter of Dream Palace.”

“Oh? Dream Palace, you’ve actually birthed an offspring; that is indeed worth celebrating. Our race has gained another member,” Ahta remarked.

“But she lost contact with me not long ago,” came the solemn response.

“What happened? Who would dare to strike at our new race member?”

“I’m not sure. Just like our early growth processes, I arranged for Altis to go to a medium-sized world to expand her command over legions, hoping she would soon become a real queen.”

“However, shortly before, I felt that all the legions under my daughter had been wiped out, and she activated the last resort I left for her,” she explained.

“Dream Palace, be mentally prepared. There’s a strong likelihood that your daughter faced an accident,” was the advice given.

“You don’t have to tell me. Understanding my daughter’s current strength, I’m well aware that only an old fool who doesn’t know better would have put her in such a predicament.”

“This shouldn’t be, who in the World Community doesn’t know our fame? Even if there was an initial, accidental conflict with my daughter’s legions, seeing her in person after full military suppression, no further actions should have been taken against her.”

“Ahta, what are you implying?” Clear and visible Mental Ripples spread, indicating the Insect Queen’s anger.

“Dream Palace, I’m merely stating facts, why get agitated?” Ahta responded.

“Are you suggesting my daughter was defeated by the natives of the world I chose for her?”

“Don’t you want to acknowledge that possibility?”

“Do you think such absurdity can happen? Unless someone of a higher level intervenes, who can withstand an Insect Queen commanding the Hive Army?”

“Every world might birth miracles beyond imagination. Don’t assume you can control everything, Dream Palace; no one knows what might happen in the Void next. Don’t think you can always keep everything under control.”

“Stop arguing over this. We should be thinking of ways to rescue our new race member. Every moment we procrastinate, she faces increasing danger,” a voice mediated.

“Dream Palace, where are the world coordinates where you lost contact with Altis? I’ll send a subordinate to check it out.”

“No need, I’ve already dispatched a minion to investigate, and it won’t be long before I have results.” A majestic Mental Power began to recede into the Void,

“Once I confirm who recklessly attacked my daughter, I’ll call on you all. Of course, I might not need your help; I might resolve it myself.”

“It’s best if you can handle it yourself; I’d rather continue my sleep. But if you can’t manage, don’t worry about losing face, and immediately seek our help.”

“I know,” Dream Palace acknowledged.
