Chapter 1270: Chapter 1256: Crimson Dragon Emperor Set Chapter 1270: Chapter 1256: Crimson Dragon Emperor Set “My lord, there is a pitiful fellow here.”

“I see him.” Muria looked at the robust man lying in the bushes, his body emitting an unpleasant stench, and frowned slightly before slowly relaxing.

“This guy stinks so bad! But how can he make me feel nauseous?” Auston, with a look of disgust on his face, sized up the unconscious man. As an Ancient Dragon, he wouldn’t necessarily feel sick even when seeing a Ghoul Lord.

“Cast a few Purification Spells on him.” Muria instructed.

“My lord, I’m not skilled in this type of magic.” Auston said somewhat embarrassingly. As an Evil Dragon, the spells he mastered were mainly offensive, and he had never learned the more supportive kinds. Of course, with his current strength, he could forcibly cast them, but the effectiveness might be a bit embarrassing for a dragon.

“Enough talk, do as you’re told.”

“I am casting it now.”

The holy light of magic shone from the hands of the Ancient Dragon in human form, then the brilliance fell upon the hunter whose body was infested with corrupting forces.

Just like a hot iron plunged into ice water, a sizzling sound arose and grey smoke ascended from the man’s body. Although it was not his forte, the spell still achieved notable effects under the power of a legend.

“Uh…”

After a painful groan, the man’s eyes snapped open. Then, while his mind was still not fully alert, he deftly rolled up from the ground and looked at the two individuals in front of him with extreme caution, both of whom clearly were not normal humans.

“Who are you?”

“Who are we? We are your saviors.” Auston looked at the physically strong human who appeared to be even more robust than his own human form and replied with a sly smile.

“You saved me?” By now, Modo’s mind was starting to work. He remembered clearly what condition he was in before losing consciousness. His body had been tainted by those disgusting monsters, and if things had gone as expected, he wouldn’t have had the chance to awaken again.

But now, not only had his body returned to normal with no anomalies, but he also felt as if the chronic injuries he had suffered were gone, and his condition was even better than before. This was simply incredible.

“Of course, if you weren’t lucky enough to run into us here, you could have been buried by now.”

“If that’s the case, then I am sincerely grateful to you.” Though he said this, the wariness in the man’s eyes did not fade and was even more guarded than before.

He was well aware of the severity of his condition. To heal such wounds was of extraordinary significance.

“You say thanks with your mouth but look like you’re ready to chop someone at any moment. You’re quite the freak.”

Auston, observing the man ready for battle, laughed nonchalantly, not considering him a threat at all; after all, he was a being who hadn’t even reached Gold Rank status.

Hearing Auston’s words, Modo tugged at the corner of his mouth. Speaking of strange, this pair of a youth and a boy found in the wilderness was the real oddity, looking completely out of place.

“Have you fought with the minions of the Evil God?” Muria asked directly through spiritual communication.

Although his time in this Domain was not long, Muria had noticed that there were no established Extraordinary Powers, which was undoubtedly unreasonable, especially since there were Deities existing above all else.

However, this Deity was no benevolent figure, and thus everything made sense. Long ago, a complete system of Extraordinary Powers existed here, but was destroyed by this Deity, and then everything started anew.

So, this insignificant being in front of him was one of the strongest among the local intelligent races of this world. It sounded laughable, but that’s what had happened. Therefore, when the Evil God revived, the local Intelligent Races of this world were so helpless and passive in their response.

“Minions of the Evil God?” Without seeing the young man speak, but directly hearing a young yet authoritative voice echoing in his mind, Modo’s face relaxed.

This was something beyond his understanding. Combined with the fact that he was still alive, he knew these two were transcendental beings beyond his ability to contest. If they could save his life, harming him wouldn’t be difficult for them either.

“Yes, I have fought against them, but I lost and even became a shameful deserter.” The man’s face showed humiliation. Although he had learned about the terror of the Evil God from the records of the lost era, he found they had still underestimated the horror of the Evil God. Merely the minions had easily defeated them.

“With your strength, it is already commendable that you could battle the minions of the Evil God. And retreating from the battlefield when near death doesn’t count as desertion. When you’ve lost your fighting ability and see no hope of victory, staying to fight is just a foolish act tantamount to suicide.”

“Thank you for your consolation, mighty unknown entity. But I understand what my actions entail. I broke my promise and didn’t fulfill the duty I should have.”

“You seem to be planning to go back into battle?” Muria observed the man and asked. Auston, although not understanding why his lord would engage with such a weak being, kept his mouth shut and did not speak.

“Yes, my body has recovered, and I have no excuse to avoid fighting.”

“Weakness can also serve as an excuse,” Auston interjected at that point, which darkened the man’s face but elicited no rebuttal.

“My follower’s words might be harsh, but as you stand now, you indeed have no qualification to fight against the servants of the Evil God, not even the cannon fodder they catalyze.”

“…This is my duty,” the man replied with firm conviction.

“Hmm, good, then would you be interested in accepting my gift? The power to easily slay the servants of the Evil God.”

“What must I give in return?” Modo asked without hesitation. His coveted prize was before him, so he had no reason to refuse it.

“Your body and mind, your soul, everything you possess… we don’t need any of those.” After listing a series of seemingly heavy costs, Muria paused and then made a statement that astonished the man.

“You don’t need anything?” Modo asked incredulously.

“Yes, nothing is required, as long as you use this power to fight against the Evil God.”

In the midst of the man’s surprised and pained expression, the black-haired, golden-pupiled youth made a light gesture, and more than a dozen red dragon scales of various sizes appeared in the sky.

With the appearance of these dragon scales, the temperature in the area rose rapidly, and hot steam began to emerge.

Under the gaze of man and dragon, golden flames rose from the youth’s palm, then enveloped the slowly falling, steadily shrinking dragon scales in the sky.

The dragon scales tumbled in the flames, intricate and mystical runes appeared and were etched upon them, the many scales constantly changing shape, then slowly transformed into a set of armguards glowing with red spirit light.

“Fearless warrior of Demon Slaying, accept my offering!”

Having crafted an armguard from the scales of Auston, Muria pushed it with a smile toward the bemused Modo, “This is the Right Arm of the Crimson Dragon Emperor.”

“The Right Arm of the Crimson Dragon Emperor.” Modo, moved, raised his hands to catch the falling red armguard, feeling the immense power contained within it, “Is this for me?”

“Wear it, and you will receive the grace of the Red Dragon Emperor, and then you can easily slaughter the servants of the Evil God.”

Under Muria’s smiling gaze, the man put his hand into the armguard, which could be considered a Divine Artifact for him, and red dragon patterns spread from his right arm across his body, the flames of the Red Dragon covering him.

“I…” Just as he was astonished by the power bestowed upon him by the Right Arm of the Crimson Dragon Emperor and looked up, wanting to say something, he froze. No one was in front of him; everyone had disappeared, “Gone.”

If it wasn’t for the red armguard that now fully enclosed his fingers on his right hand, Modo might have thought all he had just experienced was a dream.

“The Red Dragon Emperor, an entity capable of combating the Evil God?” As he felt the power he now possessed, Modo murmured to himself, noting the name of the armguard he had received.

“Master, the armguard you just crafted, its material came from my scales, right?” Auston inquired. It was something he could confirm without asking, but he asked nonetheless.

“Hmm.”

“Then the Red Dragon Emperor is also…” With a complex mix of pride and inferiority, Auston cautiously followed up.

“Do you think you are currently worthy of that title?” Muria countered.

“I am not,” Auston replied, bowing his head sincerely. He was acutely aware of his own limitations. Even a Dragon King wouldn’t use such a title, let alone an Ancient Dragon like himself who had not yet ascended to the throne.

“Enough, Auston. In this world where extraordinary inheritances have been severed, self-proclaiming yourself as the Red Dragon Emperor is completely fine with your strength.”

“Master, you’re joking.” Auston chuckled wryly, realizing the more he knew, the more he revered. He understood that he was in a unique and formidable world and that there seemed to be a Dragon King who had entered it.

If he were to recklessly claim the title of the Red Dragon Emperor and encounter a Dragon King, he would most likely be taught a lesson and shown his place in the grand scheme of things.

“Tsk, what a pity, you no longer have the pride you did soon after you were born,” Muria shook his head in lament, then extended his hand towards the Ancient Dragon full of AC, “Come, peel off a hundred and eighty scales from your body.”

“What are you planning to do?”

“I intend to create a complete set of the Crimson Dragon Emperor armor and do it perfectly.”
