Chapter 1261 - 1261 1248 Im a Pacifist Too
Chapter 1261: Chapter 1248 I’m a Pacifist Too Chapter 1261: Chapter 1248 I’m a Pacifist Too “We did not offend you.”
A voice, seemingly emitted by billions of creatures at once, transmitted into Muria’s Divine Soul. And just this simple reply was accompanied by an information flood so vast it could easily drive a normally intellectual Gold Rank being insane—or even cause their brain to burst—instantly.
But this surge of information that entered Muria’s mind didn’t stir any ripples. Not only did Muria feel no pressure, he even had the leisure to browse through the specific details within the incoming flood. As expected, the majority of it was fragmented, chaotic junk, with only an extremely small fraction being even remotely useful.
“Love for peace, aversion to conflict? Are you joking?”
The Aloz, which had previously been impossible to communicate with by any means, took the initiative to release pure white particles to communicate with Muria once he entered its core hub.
In Muria’s view, however, such communication could also be seen as an attack. Even in communications between legends and the Aloz Civilization, being forced to process a vast amount of useless junk information with every sentence could leave one disoriented and significantly weakened in combat.
Only deities or epics could be exempt from such a bombardment of useless information—but this was tantamount to a provocation. Yet Muria gleaned from the sea of junk that the trouble in communicating with Aloz was not intentional but rather due to the civilization’s unique existential form.
Even if not intended as an attack, Muria felt that the message conveyed by this peculiar civilization was toying with him.
Lovers of peace? Hater of conflict? Was he supposed to be blind? How had he made his way here if not by relying on his own strength, fighting every step of the way?
And consider what kind of ‘toys’ he fought against: a variety of spaceships and battleships with no connection to each other, large mobile weapons, and various powerful Metal Replicas of Extraordinary Beings.
Muria didn’t believe for a second that the Aloz Civilization, controlling the replication process of their weapons, was in any way friendly. No civilization or intelligent creature would allow an unrelated existence to pry into their secrets—much less replicate them.
So it was no secret where the Aloz Civilization’s versatile combat forms of their war legions originated from—likely drenched in blood, probably from war spoils.
“Powerful being, why do you question us? Do you not see the efforts we’ve made to eliminate conflict?”
“I really haven’t seen that. What efforts have you made to eliminate conflict?” Muria asked, curious about the shameless self-promotion of this thick-skinned civilization.
“The particles surrounding you are one of our great achievements made to eliminate conflict!”
With a response swamped with junk information in Muria’s mind, luckily his true self had already awakened and taken control of everything.
“It allows individuals within a civilization to open their hearts and communicate their thoughts to others without any barriers, eradicating all obstacles to communication.”
“…If these particles were not naturally occurring, I would have a hard time deciding whether the creator of these particles is great, evil, or simply foolish.”
Muria was genuinely unsure whether the ability to let individuals within a civilization freely transmit their thoughts to one another was a good or bad thing; in his opinion, the drawbacks of such particles outweighed the benefits.
After all, no civilization, regardless of its level of development, can expect to be comprised entirely of sages, especially not when the average moral standard of its individuals falls short of sagehood.
If the innermost thoughts and feelings could be easily perceived by one’s fellow people, the resulting consequences would be disastrous. It wouldn’t be surprising for a civilization to crumble because of this.
Intelligent life is extremely complex. At specific times, under certain circumstances, dark thoughts naturally arise—nothing could be more ordinary.
But without knowing another’s thoughts, the standard for judging one’s character is their actions; actions shape the external perception of a creature.
If a person strives to adhere to the code of a gentleman throughout their life, it doesn’t matter what thoughts they entertain, even if they are refining copper or controlling Luozi; as long as they have not acted upon these thoughts, they are a gentleman.
But if such peculiar particles existed, allowing one’s dark thoughts to be easily suppressed while trying to restrain oneself with a gentleman’s code of conduct, one would instantly be cast into hell just because those around them would become aware of these thoughts—a truly terrifying prospect.
“Of course, it’s great!” Upon hearing Muria’s doubts, the collective consciousness of the Aloz Civilization immediately replied.
“Well, to you it might be great, since you’re used to sharing your thoughts and feelings openly with your fellow people. But for other civilizations, such particles could be a weapon capable of collapsing societal order.”
“What are you talking about? Powerful Being, how could particles that allow people to break all barriers and communicate freely with each other possibly be a weapon?”
“The form of existence varies between civilizations, so arguing is pointless. Tell me, what other great inventions has your civilization created for the sake of peace and the cessation of conflict?”
Because ideologies and positions differ, so do perspectives. There is no right or wrong, only the strong and the weak. Muria had no intention of accepting the views of this civilization collective that had no physical existence in the Material World, nor of imposing his own view on them.
It was all meaningless. His only plan was to chat with them for a while and then use the power of Epics to take control of this planetary civilization’s marvel.
“Creatures are undoubtedly pitiable, waging war for their own desires, fighting fiercely against each other, even against their own kind without hesitation.
Thus, we created Vida. Its offsprings consume everything, but preserve the consciousness of the devoured. Without material influence, all conflicts shall end and peace will descend.”
“Hmm, interesting—eliminate all that could cause conflict and then naturally attain peace.”
Muria smiled, “Your concept isn’t bad; I quite agree. Coincidentally, I am also a pacifist.”
