King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 1253 - 1253 1240 Dragon Lord

Chapter 1253: Chapter 1240 Dragon Lord Chapter 1253: Chapter 1240 Dragon Lord “Your Highness, you jest, we have already witnessed your power, and there is no need to test us further, such actions will only anger you, and we cannot bear the consequences,” they said.

“Mortals, your civilization has encountered more than one deity by now, and as a leader who currently holds the highest power, you must have reviewed all the materials related to the deities. Knowing this, you should realize that lying is the most ludicrous approach when dealing with a god.”

“Indeed, Your Highness, although you possess the power to shake our Imperial Capital, such power is not enough to contend with the might of the deities documented in our records. Therefore, we would like to verify the power you spoke of, the power that can stand against the deities.”

After holding an urgent meeting with her staff, the Empress of Muria, after a long silence, decided to lay everything out and tell the truth. This was one of the strategies they had discussed.

“Isn’t it better to be frank? The thing I hate the most is lying.”

Muria sat in an extremely casual posture opposite the Empress. Unlike the Empress, who sat upright and exuded a leader’s aura, Muria seemed to lack the dignity of a great being who could confront deities.

“Moreover, I can tell you directly now that it’s absolutely impossible for you to wage war against another deity. You do not yet possess the qualifications or value that would make me do such a thing. What I can do is protect you during our cooperation and shield you from any attacks from the deities,” she stated.

“Your Highness, you are too calculating. You agree to cooperate with us by providing military support, yet now you tell me you will not help our army in active assaults, only defend us from other deities’ attacks.

Yet, such attacks are historically rare, almost never occurring even once a century, especially now when we maintain relative peace with the outside world.

In other words, you have given nothing yet gained control of our civilization’s army and all its intelligence with the military force you have. This isn’t fair.”

“No, it is fair. If anything, it is unfair to me, not to you,” Muria stood up, stretched lazily, and walked to the window. The seemingly sealed room’s wall facing him instantly turned transparent, allowing him to look down on the bustling Imperial Capital with a bird’s-eye view.

“A great era that will change everything has arrived. During this change unprecedented for you, countless majestic beings will fall, and countless races and civilizations will face destruction.

But equally, countless beings will rise and ascend to the rank of eternal life alongside me, and numerous civilizations you once thought imperceptible will surpass you in this short time of transformation.”

“What are you talking about?” The Empress was stunned. She understood but found it hard to believe, even resisting acceptance. Yet, her quickening heartbeats spoke of her agitation.

“Is it so hard to understand? The spacetime rift that appeared out of nowhere above your territory, and my appearance here through that rift, are all premonitions of this great era’s onset.”

“A great era that will change everything!” The Empress recalled the data sent back by the exploration fleet, a feeling of dread overwhelming her, steeped in the fear of the unknown.

The Yuguang Civilization, even when facing multiple deities as foes, only felt immense pressure but never fear. For though these deities possessed powers far beyond their civilization’s limits, they were restricted territorially and couldn’t directly intervene in their homeland.

The presence of deities merely slowed their civilization’s expansion but posed no threat to its continuity. However, now, factors that could threaten their civilization’s existence had emerged, yet they were oblivious.

“Your Highness? How many beings like you are there?”

Unbound deities such a presence, merely by existing, can instill fear. If there are more, how should a civilization respond when they harbor malice?

“Do you think I am unique?”

“…”

“Let me tell you, there are more beings similar to me, even stronger than me, and they outnumber the deities your records mention, that’s for certain. Of course, compared to the vastness of the Void, beings like me are rare.”

“Beings that transcend common understanding shouldn’t even exist…” Upon hearing Muria’s words, the Empress’s face turned very ugly.

Although she should maintain an optimistic view, as the supreme leader, she must consider the worst-case scenario. Yet her civilization had no weapons capable of threatening a deity.

“Don’t think of everything so negatively. I can give you some good news.”

“What?”

“Epics, the deities unbound by any constraints. Most of those I am aware of are related to me by blood. So, do you understand?”

“Blood relations?” The Empress was confused. At the level of deities, having blood relations seemed entirely illogical. It should be normal for one person to constitute an entire race.

“Therefore, with you having established cooperation with me, the likelihood of your civilization continuing through this incoming, no, already begun great era significantly increases.”

“Is that so? If it’s really as you say, then we are indeed fortunate.”

“I never lie.” Muria stood up. “Hmm, didn’t you want to witness my true power? Actually, power doesn’t have to be shown only through battle. There are other ways to demonstrate it.”

“What?”

“I’ve been playing the lord’s game for over ten years now, I wonder how those two old fellows are doing? They must be doing well; after all, they’ve lived for thousands of years. Even if their consciousness is temporarily clouded, it won’t be long before they can recover.”

The dragon, possessing supreme majesty, perched atop the Tower of Heaven. The White Cloud moving with the wind could only reach the middle of this tower, yet through the sparse clouds, the dragon ruling the surrounding sky, Earth, and sea could see a city expanding outward from the tower he was perched on. It was the city he built, his territory.

“I have already prepared an army that can fight only for me. What about you?”
