Chapter 1240: Chapter 1227: Summon the Wind and Call the Rain Chapter 1240: Chapter 1227: Summon the Wind and Call the Rain “I’m back!”

Gazing upon the desolate sea island that seemed to have been crushed by heavy objects, Muria let out a long sigh. Judging by the results, his journey throughout the connected domains of the Cluster World had been quite smooth.

After all, both his father, Ansol, and the Dragon mother Atreus had been found, and his father’s consciousness had already awakened while his mother’s problems were not serious.

Although the results of his journey were good, Muria could not be at peace because his companion Michaela had not been found, which was very distressing.

Even if his mood was terrible, he could only endure it. As for his grandmother, the Dragon Queen Yarista, and those grandfathers who reincarnated with him, he was not worried at all. They had all ventured into the Void in legendary bodies before ascending successfully into epics.

Whether the rules of this great world could obscure their consciousness was uncertain. Perhaps they were already making their fortunes in the land of their birth, rising to prominence, reaping benefits, or wreaking havoc far and wide, their fame spreading. Whatever the case, it was not for him, their grandson, to worry about them.

“Michaela, where exactly are you?” Muria’s heart was filled with sorrow, for the foreboding of the epics made him feel as if something unfortunate was about to happen to him, and such premonitions affected his emotions.

Though his original self’s influence prevented his reincarnated body from acting out, the environment around him compelled the reincarnated body to make choices, to do things that were necessary despite being reluctant.

This was Muria’s main worry, after all, many creatures could not simply do as they wished; they had to conform to their surroundings and their identity.

“This is your hometown?” At his side, the girl Areina, seeing Muria sighing heavily, looked around curiously and asked.

“No, my hometown is in a place far away, and I have not been back for a long time.”

Mentioning his hometown, Muria gazed into the sky, where, if nothing unexpected happened, he should at least have a grandson or granddaughter by now—he was of grandparent age.

After all, his son had made his way to the Void; it would not make sense not to leave descendants in Elasia, but he had never met them.

“Then why don’t you go back? Is there a special reason?” the girl asked curiously.

“A special reason? It’s just that I’m not strong enough. Going back would be embarrassing.”

“Not strong enough?” The girl was stunned. Muria’s power, in her eyes, was as unfathomable as the seabed trench, yet such a being was telling her that it was not enough.

“Hmm!”

“Then what level of power would be sufficient?”

“Even if I told you, you wouldn’t understand; you don’t even know what level I’m at right now.”

Muria chuckled, his words inducing the girl to bristle with annoyance, but he didn’t mind her pouting. Instead, he looked up into the distance, sensing the fluctuation of divine power.

“Oh!” the girl exclaimed in slight anger, but when she looked at Muria, intending to make a fuss, she saw his expression turn serious.

“What’s wrong?”

“Stay here, don’t wander off. I need to deal with some minor matters,” Muria instructed as he physically reduced the Winged Serpent Dragon perched on his shoulder and placed it on the ground. “It will protect you here.”

“Eh!” The girl was about to voice some protest, but Muria, who had always remained composed at her side, had vanished into the sky.

“What’s the matter? Why the hurry? I’ve never seen him look like that. Could it be that he’s encountered some big trouble that can’t be resolved?” She wondered with some confusion but didn’t dwell on it, as she had absolute confidence in Muria’s strength. In her eyes, this being who had acknowledged her as a mother had no troubles he couldn’t resolve.

Ferocious flames fiercely devoured the dense jungles on the sea island; thick smoke billowed and covered the sky, causing countless animals living in the jungles to flee frantically away from the fire.

The Laxia Tribes living on the island had no energy to put out the fire; they were fighting with the culprits behind the conflagration.

To say they were fighting was inaccurate because the only thing the people of the Laxia Tribes on the island could do was to pray devoutly to the Totem Pillar standing in the center of their tribe; beyond that, they were powerless. This was a battle they simply could not be a part of.

The enemy delivering a devastating blow to their tribe was a group of over a hundred disc-shaped battleships hovering in the sky, foes beyond the Laxia people’s ability to confront. Only their tribe’s guardian deity could fight against such foes.

So, all they could do was pray and provide enough Power of Faith as backup support for their guardian deity. As long as the deity they worshiped emerged victorious, they would naturally be able to survive, and their tribe could continue.

If their guardian deity was defeated, their fate would be left for the enemies to decide.

“Impulsive!”

In the sky, Jiuli, who had transformed into a figure with a human head and a snake’s tail, was confronting a battle fleet of the Yuguang civilization’s squadron. During the not-so-long battle, this Earth God, who had brought trouble upon himself in a fit of anger, was already regretful.

If it were simply a head-on confrontation, Jiuli was not afraid of this fleet. To fight on an equal footing was the most basic, given enough time, he could have annihilated this entire fleet right here.

However, battle is not just about a straightforward clash of strength. The commander of the pursuing Yuguang civilization fleet was not so naïve, and their strongest attack was not aimed at the Earth God.

The Earth God’s greatest strength was also his greatest weakness. Within his Land of Faith, the Earth God contained formidable power but the believers who lived there could also become his Achilles’ heel.

The pursuing Yuguang civilization fleet noticed this, so before long, they had directed their most powerful firepower at the Laxia tribes living on the Sea Island.

This move constrained some of Jiuli’s power, forcing him to divide his own strength to protect his believers. This was the foundation of his existence as a deity, which absolutely could not be destroyed.

Although the inhabitants of this Sea Island were not much compared to the vast number of his believers, this was the place of his rise, the starting point of his divine identity.

“What was the evaluator who rated this world as a Level Three hazard doing? They missed such a powerful Totem God. Fortunately, this deity triggered our barrier. Otherwise, if there had been an oversight… Hmph!”

After some time had passed in the intense aerial battle, the fleet commander, who was directing the fleet to evade the Earth God’s attacks while attacking the deity’s believers in the most despicable way to divide his attention, cursed irritably.

“Captain, this is merely a Totem God, not a True God who can change the color of heaven and earth with a wave of his hand. The problem is not too big. Our vanguard still has the capability to deal with him,” said a slender Yuguang person with fiery red hair, consoling his superior on the bridge.

“Humph! Retract your pride and see our enemy clearly. This is a god, a Totem God who, given enough time, could become a True God. We have no capital to be arrogant in the face of such a presence.”

“I understand, captain. Deities are the greatest obstacle and enemy to the advancement of civilization.”

“Have we called for reinforcements from the flagship yet? We cannot deal with this Totem God on our own!”

“The distress signal has already been sent. Headquarters has asked us to hold on for another quarter of an hour! Three combat squadrons will arrive soon to join us in slaying the god!”

“A quarter of an hour, no problem!”

Hearing that support would arrive shortly, the commander of the fleet immediately felt everything was under control. He then looked at Jiuli, with his human head and snake body, with a peculiar gleam in his eyes, seeing him as a stepping stone to his promotion.

Yet, as the fleet commander began to fantasize about how he could leverage this battle to gain a higher military rank and enjoy more privileges of civilization, the golden dragon appeared in the sky, and so, his beautiful dream shattered.

Endless Thunder, accompanying the arrival of the Golden Dragon, struck down from the sky, forming a dense net of lightning that covered the more than one hundred and twenty disc-shaped spaceships.

After the Thunder descended, Flames also appeared out of thin air, engulfing all the battleships and spaceships. However, to Muria’s surprise, his Flames not only failed to harm these technological civilizations but even endowed them with stronger defensive power.

“Interesting!”

This unusual situation made Muria utter his admiration before withdrawing the Flames, intensifying the attack with Thunder, and at the same time, endless Furious Wind rose from the ground, and fine rain fell from the sky like swords aimed at the fleet.

It was just a civilization with high fire resistance—nothing special. If Flames didn’t work, he could switch to another element. Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire—he was now adept in all of them. Taking turns, there would always be one that was suitable.

Wind, rain, and Thunder came and went at his beck and call, and this was Muria at the moment.

“Teacher!” Jiuli, who was already regretting his impulsive actions, looked at the Golden Giant Dragon appearing in the sky with surprise and delight in his eyes. Seeing the wind, rain, and Thunder accompanying the arrival of the Giant Dragon, he felt a sense of security; this was what it felt like to have a powerful backer.

“Didn’t you know the simple concept of ‘sneaky growth’? You are not yet qualified to provoke such enemies,” the dragon said.

Without paying attention to his disciple or the fleet struggling under his might, he turned his gaze to the space portal connecting two realms.

He saw a massive fleet capable of traveling through the Void, a force that could move unchecked in worlds without Epics or Deities.
