Chapter 1225 - 1225 1212 I Am Not Your Mother

Chapter 1225: Chapter 1212 I Am Not Your Mother Chapter 1225: Chapter 1212 I Am Not Your Mother “Miss!”

Fear dominated, with worry following close behind, as cries of alarm rang out throughout the forest, from warriors unfortunate enough to clash with a newly born dragon, now turning their anxious gaze toward the young girl who had tumbled to the ground.

The blood flowing from her silver-white armor stung their eyes, and they felt as if the world was spinning before them.

The legitimate daughter of the Frankel Family had joined them in their venture, but now they could only watch helplessly as the noblewoman fell in battle. The guilt of such a failure was a fate far more terrifying than death, even if they managed to return by some stroke of luck.

With the slightest sense of forethought, the warriors, engulfed in a tragic fervor, launched an assault on the monster that should not have been there.

“It seems we can only die in battle here.” The Knights, having quickly come to understand what their best option was, embraced their resolve to die and engaged once more with the Serpent Dragon.

Once the fear of death was cast aside, any creature’s battle strength would multiply. The Serpent Dragon, having just completed its transformation and shifted the level of its life several times, momentarily showed signs of awkwardness.

After all, it had evolved from an ordinary tree snake, and while its life level was exceptionally high now, intelligence only comes with a wealth of experience.

It was like an infant with enormous destructive power, possessing great strength but lacking the knowledge to control it, relying solely on its serpentine instincts to fight.

But that alone was enough to apply tremendous pressure on the adventure party of fewer than thirty members, easily overpowering them with the formidable body gifted by Dragon Blood. Such was the advantage of its race.

The enormous Serpent Dragon roared, and just as it prepared to crush the presumptuous insects daring to challenge it, a voice—noble, distant, and equally commanding respect and submission—echoed in its mind.

Furious Wind burst from the black-scaled Winged Serpent Dragon, whipping like powerful lashes that flung the knights to the ground, leaving behind shockingly visible slash scars.

Instead of pursuing its advantage, the Winged Serpent Dragon coiled up, circling in the air, its indifferent and cruel Golden Pupil scrutinizing the ants below.

It longed to plunge down and crush them all, but the voice that had spoken to its soul forced it to lower its head in submission—an irresistible will.

“Hasn’t awakened yet, what’s going on? Surely, this counts as a life-or-death crisis!”

A hushed sigh sounded amidst the fearful glances of the surviving twenty or so knights struggling to stand up. A child with black hair and golden pupils, exuding a non-human aura, appeared on the back of the Winged Serpent Dragon, a look of disappointment on his face.

“Who are you?” Knight Lanch gripped his sword and shield tightly, his eyes filled with vigilance.

But his question went unanswered; the abruptly appearing child paid no heed. His figure vanished directly on the back of the monstrously powerful beast.

In the next instant, the knights spotted the enigmatic child beside Miss Areina, who was lying on the ground, constantly coughing up blood. He crouched beside her, reaching out as if to touch her.

“Stop!”

Without a second thought, several knights raised their swords and charged at Muria, roaring with anger, fulfilling their duty to protect the scion of the Frankel Family.

“Your luck is as good as ever!” Muria lamented, squatting beside the girl who continued to cough blood, her pupils starting to dilate, “My Mother!”

The gentle murmur went unheard by the enraged knights, who found themselves ensnared, as if in a viscous resin, just as they neared the strange child—like insects about to be encased in amber.

Then, something happened that surprised the knights who could not advance any farther: the black-haired child with golden pupils did nothing inappropriate, merely extending a finger to lightly touch the forehead of the young girl whose life force was rapidly ebbing away.

Golden ripples spread beneath his fingertip, and a miraculous scene unfolded—the girl who had been coughing up blood instantly stopped bleeding, and the paleness on her face from excessive blood loss quickly returned to a healthy glow. The girl, uncomfortable from her severe injuries, also began to breathe more evenly.

This visible change caused the knights to involuntarily lower their weapons and choose to observe since there was nothing they could do anyway.

“Hmm!”

The knights did not have to wait long before a slightly dazed voice arose in the silent grove. The young girl, who had fainted from her grave injuries, slowly opened her eyes and let out a low moan.

Then, her silver-grey eyes met a pair of radiant golden pupils, and the strangeness of these eyes made the girl cry out in surprise before she rolled over and sat up from the ground.

“Who are you?”

After giving her surroundings a quick scan, the somewhat bewildered girl asked the question that all the knights around her wanted to know.

“I am,” Muria stood up, rubbed his head with some distress, and then chose to tell the truth, “your son!”

“What!”

The young girl, who had yet to find a suitable partner and was unmarried, was left dumbstruck, as if turned to stone, and didn’t know how to react for the moment.

The knights who were protecting her, just as flabbergasted by the girl’s reaction, looked at each other in shock, and could only communicate with their eyes, not daring to utter a word, especially after witnessing the child riding a Winged Serpent Dragon.

“You… you… what nonsense are you talking about?” The overwhelmed blonde girl stammered, instinctively kicking her legs and creating some distance from Muria, “I’m not even married, how could I possibly have a son?”

“I know it’s hard for you to accept, but it is the truth.” The original persona had fallen into a slumber, and the personality that emerged from the Reincarnated Body clearly couldn’t bear such heavy information. Muria had anticipated this sort of reaction.

“Look, are you sure you haven’t gotten something wrong?” Areina couldn’t accept this situation; although she knew the boy looked extraordinary, this was not a reason for her to suddenly have a son—after all, she wasn’t married yet.

If she were to accept it, once she returned home, wouldn’t the rumors in the Imperial Capital fly wildly? The Frankel Family would definitely suffer a severe blow to their reputation because of this.

Most importantly, what kind of expression would her father have upon hearing such news? Would he be so angered by her that he’d expel her from the Clan?

The thinking girl’s mind began to scatter as she envisioned the scenes that might unfold if she suddenly had a son; mulling it over, she stumbled upon some amusing thoughts.

“There’s no mistake, you are my mother, of that I am certain. Otherwise, I wouldn’t appear before you,” Muria patiently communicated with the Reincarnated Body of his own mother.

The awakening of his mother’s consciousness was inevitable, and once it awakened, she would become aware of everything that had happened.

If he now took advantage of the Golden Dragon Mother’s slumber to do something inappropriate, when the Golden Dragon Mother awoke, she would certainly settle the score and demand back double whatever benefit he had gained. So, for safety’s sake, he’d better be honest.

“Impossible, I am only sixteen this year, and you seem to be around seven or eight years old, do the math. Even if my body developed rapidly, there’s no way I could have been pregnant and given birth to you at the age of eight or nine,” she said.

Being harangued by such a mystical yet inexplicably familiar child, Areina presented the facts and adamantly denied her motherhood.
