Chapter 1199: Chapter 1186: My Son Has Become a Waste Chapter 1199: Chapter 1186: My Son Has Become a Waste “Owen, where are you? The banquet is about to start, hurry over. A big figure is coming to this banquet.”

In the quiet library, an voice rang out with some urgency. Muria, holding a book, looked up and gave the surrounding students, who were casting dissatisfied looks, an apologetic smile.

“Student Union President?”

Muria closed the book in her hands, tucked it under his arm, and walked toward the exit of the library.

“How did you know?” The face on the mobile terminal screen looked somewhat surprised.

“I just ran into him on my way to the library, and you all had mentioned inviting him before.”

Muria approached the library’s front desk, registered the title of the book, completed the borrowing procedure, and left the place that was supposed to be quiet.

“We were joking at the time. Who would have thought that such a big figure, who is normally too busy to have time, would actually be at the academy and accept our invitation.”

“Alright, calm down. Don’t faint from excitement when you see him, like those little girls. It would be incredibly embarrassing for you.”

“This is Caesar we’re talking about!”

“I know.”

“I remember you used to be an admirer of Caesar too. Why are you so indifferent now?” Owen’s companion revealed a puzzled expression.

“I’ve seen through it all!” Muria said with an indifferent look on his face.

“I mean, it’s just the slaying of a young dragon, but why have you changed so much? I was with you for that, so why haven’t I changed as much?”

“It varies from person to person, I suppose. You’ve changed too, you just haven’t realized it. My transformation, on the other hand, has been quite obvious.”

Muria unconcernedly revealed his difference from the Owen of the past, not caring in the slightest. Having adopted this identity with a half-playful attitude, he naturally didn’t take it too seriously and did not deliberately mimic every word and action of the previous Owen.

“Is that so?”

“That’s how it is,” Muria confirmed. All he needed was a seemingly reasonable excuse. Without witnessing it for themselves, who would believe that an ancient dragon, full of pride, would disguise himself as an ordinary human boy?

“Okay, hurry over here.”

“Okay.”

… The melodious and relaxing music echoed through the luxurious ballroom. Muria, dressed in a black suit with gold trim, walked around the bustling banquet, observing the hidden academy in this special world.

Then, he saw a dejected-looking boy with his head bowed and shoulders slumped, and his face showed a change, looking somewhat displeased, as if he was a mix of anger and helplessness.

“Owen, what are you watching? Why not go dance? There are a lot of girls waiting for you.”

A crisp female voice sounded in Muria’s ear. He turned his head and immediately saw a blonde girl with a delicate and frail appearance looking at him winsomely.

“With the Chairman here, do you think any of the girls would spare a thought for other boys?” Muria was unmoved by the girl’s flirtatious dress. It wasn’t that he was unattracted to the opposite sex, but rather that his standards for beauty were exceedingly high.

“Chairman Caesar, indeed. In every aspect, he’s an extremely perfect male, but because he’s too perfect, some girls with self-awareness wouldn’t set their sights on him.”

“This guy really doesn’t fit in with the surroundings.” Muria looked at the black-haired boy stuffing his face in the corner of the banquet and sighed, ignoring the almost explicit hints from the girl.

He didn’t know the current identity of this black-haired boy, but he believed that after his remark, the girl beside him would definitely provide an explanation.

“Lu Tianming?” Following his gaze, the girl who came to invite the ancient dragon disguised as a human to dance looked at the out-of-place black-haired boy, and her expression instantly turned weird.

“A normal person would dress up nicely for a banquet, but this guy, he’s just stuffing his face.”

Muria looked at this young face that had resonated with his bloodline not long ago and felt somewhat conflicted.

“Owen, you already said ‘a normal person,’ but this guy is anything but normal. Which normal person would offend the leaders of the two strongest student organizations on the first day of school?”

“He’s the public enemy of the entire school,” Muria said with a laugh.

“Why are you suddenly interested in him? Though he seems a bit down-and-out, he’s recognized by the principal as the strongest S-level bloodline, even stronger than Chairman Caesar.”

The girl who had come to chat also scrutinized Lu Tianming with Muria, her eyes equally peculiar.

“To be honest, I haven’t seen any outward displays of his S-level bloodline up to now. This guy is no different from an ordinary human during physical tests, a complete waste. If it weren’t for the principal personally bringing him in, he would already have had his memory wiped and been sent away.”

“Is that so? The principal has quite the eye,” the handsomely featured boy raised an eyebrow and then walked towards the black-haired boy exuding defeat.

“What are you going to do?”

“Have a chat with him,” Muria said, waving his hand.

The girl glanced down at herself, her proud figure preventing her from seeing her lower half, but even such a figure failed to make the boy turn his head and give her a proper look, “Hmph, blind or what?”

Without dwelling on whether there was something wrong with her outfit today, Muria had already walked up to the banquet-feasting boy’s side.

“Hi, senior!” The boy, gorging himself on food, saw the youth clearly approaching him, a shy and embarrassed smile spreading across his face, as he tucked the half-eaten roast goose in his hand behind his back.

“Lu Tianming, this is a banquet, not a gathering,” Muria said, staring at the ordinary-looking boy with no imposing aura. He revealed a puzzled expression, struggling to describe his current feelings.

“Sorry, senior, I was really hungry, so I couldn’t help myself.” Hearing the words of a senior he had never interacted with before, Lu Tianming showed a bashful smile, “I’ll leave right away.”

“Hold on a second,” Muria called out to the boy who thought he was being told to leave.

“Is there anything else, senior?” The boy, already standing to leave, kept his smile.

“You misunderstood. At the banquet, why are you only concerned with eating and drinking instead of thinking about asking any girl for a dance?”

“Ah!” Hearing this, the boy suddenly became dumbstruck, then quickly recovered, “Senior, weren’t you coming over to send me away?”

“Why would I send you away?”

“Because I ate so much…” Lu Tianming scratched his head which, though tidied, was still not much better than a bird’s nest.

“No one’s going to send you away for eating a lot, junior Lu Tianming.”

“So, you mean I can keep eating?”

“Is there nothing else on your mind but eating? Could it be that there’s something wrong with your body, or perhaps with your sexual orientation?” Muria scrutinized the boy before him, fighting the urge to kick him.

“Senior, given my current situation, it’s no use even if I had other ideas!” The dark-haired boy showed a helpless bitter smile.

“Wait a moment!”

Muria took out his mobile device, logged into the Academy’s intranet forum, entered the downcast boy’s name, and then a series of sensational news headlines appeared.

“Shock! New student blows up Student Union President and Fraternity Chairman on the first day”

“S-level Bloodline with no external manifestations: An incomparable genius or a complete waste?”

“Tsk, I hadn’t paid much attention to you before, but a simple search is full of news about you. Who would’ve thought someone like you could be a big figure in the Academy?”

Looking at the astonished senior, Lu Tianming showed an embarrassed smile, then he pointed towards the lion-like man surrounded by an adoring crowd,

“You must be joking, senior. Look, Chairman Caesar is the real big figure, I’m just a defeated dog and a waste.”

“Have some confidence. You’re the super newbie who blew him away!”

Muria patted his shoulder, feeling the frailty of his body and the strength and Bloodline power hidden within that weak frame.

“Senior, that was an accident. I really regret it now. If I hadn’t pulled the trigger that day, would things be better now?”

“Not really.”

“Why not?”

“Compromising never earns respect. If you want to be like Chairman Caesar, you have to show abilities beyond the ordinary.”

“But I don’t want to be like Chairman Caesar. I just want to be an ordinary student.”

“You’re an S-level personally evaluated by the principal. Whether or not you beat up our Academy’s strongest two students that day, you would always get most people’s attention here.”

“But I really don’t see what about me deserves the title of S-level.”

“Trust me, you deserve it. Or, to put it another way, S-level doesn’t deserve you,” Muria said with a smile.

“You’re quite the joker, senior.” Lu Tianming’s face broke into a smile, a real one this time, not the previous mask-like cover-up.

“What are you guys chatting about? I seem to have heard my name.” Just then, a friendly but somewhat lazy voice rang out, belonging to the most dazzling man at the banquet.

“No… nothing, just chit-chatting.” Seeing the man whom he had once defeated approaching, Lu Tianming involuntarily shrank back, looking rather cowardly.

“Hmm, just chit-chatting about how Lu junior here shot you down with one bullet,” Muria casually replied. As soon as he said this, more than a dozen sharp glances fell upon him.
