Chapter 1147 - 1147 1134 Battle of the Epics

Chapter 1147: Chapter 1134: Battle of the Epics Chapter 1147: Chapter 1134: Battle of the Epics Facing the collision of a world, the Desolate Evil God flinched. Every world is the most perfected construct of rules, and to be struck by a world is not as simple as merely enduring a massive physical attack.

Although the Desolate Evil God wanted to dodge, he ultimately failed to escape. When Muria held the world in his hand, it appeared small, but upon being thrown, it rapidly expanded. Its massive size left no room for the Evil God to dodge.

Not to mention, as the world was hurled towards him, the surrounding Void was completely locked down. Though the force of the lockdown wasn’t strong and he could’ve shattered it forcibly, he didn’t have the time, thus no chance to dodge.

So, under Muria’s watchful eye, that strike he himself found insane smashed into the Desolate Evil God, engulfing all of his Minions in the vicinity as well.

The contact between the world and the Desolate Evil God lasted only a moment, then, the body of the Evil God exploded without any resistance—bone fragments, flesh, scales, blood… his body turned to dust, trailing streaks of light shooting in every direction.

This dust, carrying terrifying kinetic energy, pulverized everything in its path, leaving virtually nothing able to stand in its way. Thus, once again, the Desolate Evil God’s Minions suffered a heavy blow beyond their control, from their own dominion, with severe casualties.

However, some of the Desolate Evil God’s Minions were relatively fortunate, as they hadn’t been harmed by their ruler because they had vaporized into the most basic material units before he exploded.

Indeed, these were the “lucky” followers of the Desolate Evil God, alongside whom they experienced an attack seldom encountered even in Epics; reduced to nothingness under the world, such a manner of death could be considered quite a statement, quite worthy.

At the very least, Muria believed these creatures got their money’s worth as this type of attack, even if it stood within his power, couldn’t happen a second time unless he decided he no longer wanted the Semi Plane he had merged and assimilated with a world.

Every life-bearing world is a gem within the Void, their existence breaking the sterile silence of the vast, dark Void—they are fountains of life, the foundation for the Void’s entrance into a colorful and bustling state. Normally, they should never be used as weapons.

Not to mention how few Epics have the power to shake a world, let alone use it as a thrown weapon. Even if an Epic with such ability existed, they would never opt to use it as a weapon.

For any Epic with the power to shake a world can inflict far greater damage on their foes than by hurling a world itself, making such inefficient attacks entirely unnecessary.

And Muria’s ability to throw a world wasn’t because he possessed the true might to shake one, but rather because this particular world had been first eroded by the Evil God, then merged into his Semi Plane, giving him nearly sovereign Power over it. Thus, he managed to perform such an inconceivable feat.

Moreover, it was not a whimsical fantasy by Muria to use the world to crush the Evil God; rather, the lingering World Will had a very strong desire for revenge so Muria acted accordingly, bringing down this blow.

Muria’s act of fusing his Semi Plane with the world and then dominating it was akin to seizing another’s body. Once he truly controlled this world, his will would completely replace the conscious of the world, and everything within it would move according to his wishes.

Before Muria could truly dominate this world, he had to erase or merge the world’s original Will. To accomplish this, he needed to act according to the wishes and obsessions of the World Will.

This world, nearly pushed to Destruction by the invasion of the Evil God, naturally sought revenge against the root cause of its woes. However, under normal circumstances, it stood no chance against an Evil God capable of traversing the Void at will.

But as fate would have it, Muria arrived just in time. After rescuing and attempting to control the world, the World Will acted opportunistically, enabling Muria to go through with the act of hurling it at the Desolate Evil God.

The result of this strike appeared exceptionally glorious, the body of the Evil God directly shattered, and the elite of his Subordinate Army destroyed as well.

However, using the world as a weapon in an attack is the epitome of a Pyrrhic victory, inflicting foundational, severe injuries to the Evil God, while the world itself suffered irreversible damage.

The moment the world struck the body of the Evil God, a cataclysmic earthquake occurred Within the World, the earth crumbling as easily as tofu, with innumerable Abysses spreading wantonly across the desolate land.

Countless Mountains collapsed during the impact, while various Basins and Prairies turned into crisscrossed mountain ranges due to the earthquake. The silent sea spawned Tsunamis reaching hundreds of Meters in height, sweeping away every obstacle in their path.

This earthquake, which altered the entire world’s topography, was just one of the catastrophes that followed the collision, tearing Hurricanes rose from the ground, endless Thunder constantly striking down from the Sky…

One after another, catastrophes capable of destroying a surface civilization raged Within the World. Unfortunately, no civilization remained upon this world to meet their devastation, only some Half-Giants and Dragonkin who were struggling to survive, forcibly transformed.

Those without shoes fear not the loss of them. After all, the world had already been nearly ravaged by the Evil God’s Followers, with little left to spare, so even a few more world-ending Cataclysms wouldn’t have made things much worse than they already were.

This is also why Muria was willing to hurl the world as a weapon, for he only needed to protect the tiny region within the world where his minions and the human civilization behind the Great Wall thrived.

“Roar! Titan and Dragonkin, you’ve gone too far.”

An oppressive roar that built up to the extreme and then exploded echoed through the Void; it was the voice of the Desolate Evil God. Despite being struck by the world, he had not died, although his body indeed exploded.

Such damage was indeed severe for an Epic, but not fatal. A scene reminiscent of time flowing backward appeared, with fragments of the Evil God’s body that were hit by the world and blasted away flying back, trailing streams of light as they returned.

In the very location where the Desolate Evil God had been struck by the world, billions of streams of light reconverged. The Evil God, now once again covered by the curse of the world’s path, reemerged in a state seemingly as perfect as before he was attacked.

But Muria knew that this incarnation of the Evil God had definitely sustained a fundamental injury; otherwise, the originally utterly cowardly being would not have flipped out.

As for what kind of price the Desolate Evil God paid to maintain his peak state, Muria had no idea, for he had never experienced having his body blown apart and then restored.

However, he could estimate that the Body of Myriad Spirits of an Epic had extraordinary vitality, strong enough to allow an Epic to be reborn from a drop of blood.

Even if an Epic’s body was destroyed to the extent that only a drop of blood remained, that Epic could still use this last drop of blood to regenerate their entire body.

But such regeneration would definitely result in consumption since, everywhere, mass is always conserved. So, an Epic who has had their body destroyed and then came back to full health definitely paid a price, such as their source power.

“Have you still not come to your senses, Cataclysm? Whether you are willing to fight me or not, I regard you as an enemy, and I am prepared to use all my strength to make you fall here. So bring out all your power!”

“Nosey fellow.” Upon hearing Muria calling him the Cataclysm, the Desolate Evil God understood what kind of existence he was, and he quickly adjusted his mindset, knowing that the battle was inevitable.

So, having adjusted his mindset, the Desolate Evil God stretched out a massive claw and viciously grabbed at the world, which was within an arm’s reach.

With the perception of the Desolate Evil God, he, of course, saw that the world hurled at him as a weapon by the Titan and Dragonkin was closely related to him.

Therefore, the world that had just destroyed his body became his first target of attack. However, before his claw could land, a radiant golden Sword Qi rose from within the world and sliced his claw.

Splurt!

A gush of black Divine Blood spurted out, then fell towards the world, turning into a black downpour. The black rain landed on the earth, forming tiny craters that did not blend into the ground.

Soon, in the places where the rain had fallen, small black puddles began to form. These puddles continuously expanded, linking together with the potential to become lakes.

But these nascent lakes had no further chance to expand, as a golden beam of light descended straight from the sky, thunderously crashing into the center of the lakes, leaving a clear Sword Mark in the air.

The golden Sword Qi spread wildly, creating a sweeping storm of Sword Qi that enveloped heaven and earth, thoroughly obliterating the black downpour. The black rainwater and the Sword Qi cancelled each other out.

In the end, the space between heaven and earth was clear, leaving only a sword embedded in the crater, emitting an unwilling humming noise…

“You’re too cowardly, Cataclysm. Is this how you also destroyed the world?”

When the Desolate Evil God unhesitatingly attacked the world and was blocked by the backup Muria had left within it, Muria stepped forward, and a golden path formed under his feet, bridging the Void and extending between the Desolate Evil God and the world.

The moment after the Desolate Evil God knocked down the Damo Sword, Muria took a step forward, appearing before the Desolate Evil God, facing the Evil God exuding an aura of destruction, death, and wildness. His tangible intent to battle, mixed with Qi, formed a golden sea behind him, sweeping in all directions.
