Chapter 1140 - 1140 1127 Approaching Evil God

Chapter 1140: Chapter 1127: Approaching Evil God Chapter 1140: Chapter 1127: Approaching Evil God Pffft!

The hard dragon teeth pierced directly through the exoskeleton that surpassed most metallic materials of the Material World, deeply embedding into the flesh and then a large chunk of flesh was violently torn off, mixed with weakened blood of the Evil God’s Followers, it splattered in the air.

But this blood did not fall down due to gravity, because a force far stronger than the gravity of the earth was acting upon the highly corrosive blood, that was a gaping maw, the mouth of an Ancient Dragon driven to near madness by hunger.

The Ancient Black Dragon that had torn off a piece of flesh from the body of a Legendary Evil Deity Follower didn’t even chew it once before swallowing the chunk of flesh whole, and even then he wasn’t satisfied, opening his mouth wide to devour every drop of blood spraying from the wounds of the Desolate Beast.

The very flesh and blood he consumed posed a high level of danger even to creatures below the legendary level, and even some ordinary legends risked erosion and losing themselves if not careful.

But after the Ancient Black Dragon swallowed these substances, there was not the slightest abnormality, his aura even climbed a notch, as if he instantly digested the flesh and blood of the Evil God’s Followers.

Dragons are born to reign supreme over myriad creatures, the apex predators sitting at the very top of the food chain, even a newborn young dragon can digest most substances including earth, and this terrifying ability to digest is not the limit for the Dragon Race, it continues to increase with their strength.

This Ancient Black Dragon dared to swallow the flesh of an Evil God’s Follower of equal strength because he had enough confidence; he too was a being assimilated by Epics!

Acting on his past experiences, the black dragon distancing himself from the core battlefield watched the scene before him with a sense of dread, no, what was happening could no longer be called a battle—it was simply feeding.

As his powers surged dramatically upon being hit by the golden stars, the Ancient Black Dragon’s body also grew, which caused him to need material from the outside world to support his rapidly strengthening body, driving him into the most ferocious state of Dragon hunger.

This state usually occurs when a Dragon is advancing through age categories, experiencing a significant power increase, and awakening from a deep slumber.

The Primordial Giant Dragons basically do not have a slumber phase anymore; their sleep is now just sleep, unable to rapidly increase their strength as before.

However, the power surge of this Ancient Black Dragon was so vast, it far exceeded the sleeping phase of common dragons, which resulted in a terrifying requirement for food.

The black dragon could swear that if it weren’t for the presence of these Evil God’s Followers, his elder of the same kind might even be driven by hunger to consume their own kind.

This kind of horrifying matter, recorded in the history of the Dragon Race, had happened more than once; hunger is a truly terrifying thing, and extreme hunger can demolish the rationality of intelligent creatures.

“Thank goodness for these Evil God’s Followers to bear the brunt,” the black dragon thought as he watched his kindred elder feeding, suddenly feeling a sense of relief.

As his elder fed, he ignored all attacks from the Evil God’s Followers, his only method of attack being to eat, the only response to pain being to open his mouth even wider, tearing more flesh from the Evil God’s Followers.

The rate at which he recovered from the wounds through material intake from feeding outpaced the rate at which new wounds were inflicted by attacks—it was a ludicrous sight, amusing to the black dragon.

But after the laughter, the black dragon felt a pang of jealousy, a sudden craving for lemons, such terrifying power of digestion and regeneration, which dragon wouldn’t desire it?

“Martial Star,” the black dragon muttered softly, the vague concept in his mind becoming clear, as he had now a precise understanding of the so-called Martial Star and knew the kind of enhancement he would receive upon obtaining it.

“With Lord Muria’s magnanimity, such an enhancement should come without side effects; he wouldn’t exploit us dry,”

The black dragon began to ponder quietly. Although the other dragons joked his head was filled with muscles, he felt he was still quite cerebral.

“Truly ferocious!” As he pondered, the black dragon observed the core battlefield, and then exclaimed.

Around the Ancient Black Dragon, whose strength had soared after receiving the Martial Star, even the Ancient Dragons fighting alongside him unconsciously, or rather deliberately, distance themselves to avoid accidental injury.

In such times, reasoning with a ravenous Ancient Dragon gone mad with hunger is futile; being bitten by him in these moments left no room for negotiation.

However, while these Ancient Dragons increased the distance from their black dragon kin, they fought even harder, as they too were tempted.

Upon reaching the stature of Ancient Dragons, each step of increasing strength becomes exceptionally difficult, often requiring efforts almost a hundredfold more than in their youth to see even a hint of improvement.

Now, an excellent opportunity was laid before them, how could they not strive for it?

Although they could deduce that enhancing their strength in this manner would entail restrictions even if no side effects were evident, such as never being able to betray, forever only obeying Lord Muria’s commands, yet such drawbacks were inconsequential compared to the increase in power, hardly considered a flaw at all.

“What is this?” Atop the battlefield, quite close to the World Barrier, Michaela looked at Muria with some astonishment.

At this moment, Muria, still maintaining his human reincarnated body, had golden qi constantly overflowing from him. This qi condensed into a majestic and vast Cloud Sea, and within this Cloud Sea, one after another radiant star coalesced and emitted spatial fluctuations that twisted the surroundings.

“This is the Martial Arts Dharma Aspect, an unexpected gain I acquired from a world.” Seeing Michaela’s confusion, Muria explained with a smile.

The reason this Cloud Sea Dharma Body was different from the Dharma Appearance he cultivated in his reincarnated body was that this Dharma Appearance was cultivated by his original self.

Due to his bloodline, slight changes had occurred in the Dharma Appearance, after all, the qi that forms the basis of the Martial Arts Dharma Form is transformed from blood qi.

“Can this allow you to directly grant your strength to your minions?” Michaela did not care about the name ‘Dharma Appearance’; it was just a name. She was only concerned about the function of the Dharma Appearance.

She had just witnessed Muria plucking a star born from the Cloud Sea and then throwing it down onto an Ancient Dragon, causing the dragon to undergo a transformation in an instant.

“Yes.”

“With so many stars condensed, once you bestow them all upon your minions, won’t your strength be weakened as a result?” Michaela questioned Muria’s actions.

“A large assignment in the short term will certainly lead to some weakening, but in the long term, my strength may even increase because of it.”

Muria happily described in detail to her the characteristics of the Martial Arts Dharma Aspect he had cultivated in the world of Star Armor.

“If bestowing stars can enhance your strength, then why do you still require your minions to exchange military achievements for them?”

Michaela scrutinized Muria, and at first glance, it seemed that the Martial Stars Muria granted to others would allow for mutual benefit,

but upon closer analysis, it was clear that Muria was the pure beneficiary, while those who were bestowed with the stars were in an exploited state, though the benefits they received nearly kept them from minding that they were the ones being exploited.

“Easy gains are never cherished, which is an inferior trait of living beings. Only what is obtained through hardships will be treasured, even if it is something of no use.”

With his hands behind his back, Muria replied calmly. He was in a very good mood, for he had made breakthrough progress with his Martial Arts Dharma Aspect.

Now, he only needed some time to further integrate the strength of all his minions under his command, and then his combat power would climb to a new level.

In Erathia World, there were battle formations that could integrate the strength of minions, but these had certain limitations. For instance, those forming the battle formation had to have a deep connection with the one receiving the enhanced power, and also required long periods of training.

The Dharma Appearance that Muria had cultivated unexpectedly was different. After imparting his minions with Martial Stars, he could, after a while, extract power to augment himself directly, ignoring certain distances.

“That is not a reason for you to exploit your minions,” Michaela said, equally composed.

“I’m not exploiting them; it’s a form of tempering. As their master, I can’t just enhance their power for no reason. At the very least, I need a proper justification, don’t I?”

“I won’t argue with you. No matter what you say, you’re right.”

In the cold darkness of the Void, a massive being, resembling a floating continent, sensed the rapidly diminishing numbers of its distant minions. Its already indifferent aura grew even colder.

From this being, faint wails emerged, coming from a black and grey Curse Fog—sounds that mortals must not heed.

For these were the cries of despair from countless creatures at the destruction of a world, forming a World Curse, which, however, could not harm the perpetrator of world destruction. Instead, it wrapped around him, becoming a weapon of his own.

Woo———

Feeling the ripe fruit suddenly snatched away and enraged by it, the Evil God gave out an extremely bizarre cry.

Then, a surging tide of monsters emerged from beneath the world below it, densely packed, filling the Void around it. The colossal creature, leading its Subordinate Army, swam towards the place where the stolen food was located.
