King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 1137 - 1137 1124 Sweeping War
Chapter 1137: Chapter 1124: Sweeping War Chapter 1137: Chapter 1124: Sweeping War “…Cough.” Watching the thunder that descended from the sky without giving him any face, Muria coughed dryly, easing his own embarrassment.
“You think this level isn’t enough?” Michaela looked at the increasingly clear worldly phantom in the sky, and the thunder that became more dense with the advent of the Semi Plane, and said in a melancholic tone.
“Well, I admit that the world repulsion force is much greater than I had imagined,” Muria said, resignedly, initially planning to open a constant portal to the Semi Plane in the small world.
He found the task more difficult than he had anticipated, far from as easy as he had thought, which made Muria feel somewhat humiliated.
After all, this time he had specifically called Michaela over, intending to show off his skills in front of his wife, but instead, he ended up failing.
“However, I believe opening the portal is still no problem, just more costly than expected.”
Although feeling the challenge, Muria would absolutely not speak of giving up in front of Michaela, how could he possibly admit defeat in front of his own wife.
“Muria, let it be for now, it’s not the time yet. You forcing open the gate to the Semi Plane will only invite the malice of the world, and it will backfire,” she advised.
“Alright.” Since his wife had spoken out to persuade him, how could Muria not heed her wise words? He quickly gave up on opening the Semi Plane portal.
Thus, the increasingly clear phantom of the world between heaven and earth rapidly vanished, and the gleaming thunder in the dark sky also quickly dissipated, everything returned to normal.
“Where did it go wrong?” Seeing his attempt had not achieved the expected results, Muria furrowed his brows in thought, “That shouldn’t be!”
He had brought every known Glorious Base City in this world under his control, and in each one, he had stationed at least two Ancient Dragons leading groups of dragons and varying numbers of Giant Legions to guard.
Thus, essentially, Muria had ruled over more than ninety percent of the remaining humans in this world.
Because of the guardians deliberately sent by Muria to these base cities, the humans were constantly receiving the bloodline radiation emanating from the Ancient Dragons and Giants.
In other words, all the remaining humans in this world were being transformed into Dragonkin and Giant Descendants, or both. However, this was not important; what was important was that the number of humans in this world was indeed, in some sense, decreasing.
And the root of this transformation was Muria, and not only did he do this, but he also had his Giants and Ancient Dragons plant trees extensively in this world that had experienced mass extinctions, to rebuild the ecological cycle.
This might sound like a good thing, but actually, it wasn’t. This world, due to the corruption of the Evil God, had almost lost its Sun, or rather the law representing the Sun had almost collapsed, hence this world had lost its sunlight; even during the day, it was covered in dark clouds, with very low visibility.
And that also meant the plants that could regrow in this decaying world not only did not need sunlight but also needed an extremely terrifying ability to survive.
And such plants did not exist in this world, so the ecosystem rebuilt by Muria for this world was entirely based on the extraordinary plants he had stored in the Semi Plane.
And these extraordinary plants had a certain extent of relationship with him, powerful creatures would change their surroundings, assimilate nearby creatures, and likewise change plants.
In other words, the extraordinary plants planted by Muria in this world of destruction also had similar properties to his minions.
Thus, as time passed in this world, all intelligent creatures and plants, every spirited thing, were all stamped with Muria’s mark.
And that meant the World Will, born from the world’s spirited things, was also stamped with Muria’s mark, which, even if not controlled by him, would still show a very high bias towards him.
According to Muria’s predictions, this should have been the case, hence his current actions. But reality, like a sister, slapped him directly and told him that he still could not move to the next step.
“Muria, have you forgotten why you were able to act so recklessly in this world?”
Seeing Muria deep in thought, Michaela sighed, “Because this world has been corrupted by the Evil God, it craves salvation, so you were able to summon your minions so easily.”
“I understand where the problem lies.” Hearing Michaela’s words, Muria raised an eyebrow, a smile appearing on his face, realizing the crux of the issue.
He had been able to summon his minions en masse because this world desired salvation, but his ability to plant trees so effortlessly was due to the complete destruction of this world’s ecological chain.
Because the indigenous plants of this world could not adapt after the radical environmental changes, they had all gone extinct, and without the suppression of native plants, he was able to plant trees so effortlessly. Otherwise, under the suppression of the World Law, how could extraordinary plants from a Different World grow so easily?
“Where did it go wrong?”
“It’s those Evil God’s followers, the most numerous beings in this world are not humans, but Evil God’s followers. Their existence has an influence on the World Will.”
Realizing the root of the problem, a visible murderous aura appeared on Muria. “So, if I exterminate all of them, I can achieve everything I desire.”
“Why are you so excited? Isn’t this something you should have done long ago?” Michaela looked at Muria with astonishment.
“Cough.” Hearing his wife’s words, Muria, enveloped in a murderous aura, was momentarily stunned, then coughed awkwardly again.
Truth be told, when he discovered he could possess a world, even the Evil God’s followers were forgotten by Muria; he had never considered these monsters a true threat.
“I will now prepare the legion to sweep all the minions from this world.”
…
Boom! Boom! Boom!
As a dozen titanic beings walked, the earth trembled with the frequency of their movement. Children peeked out of their treehouses, curious eyes watching the giants walking nearby.
“Dad, come look! These giants seem to be up to something.” A child, noticing that the attire of the giants differed from the ones often seen, hastened to call for his father.
“They are going to fight.” Responding to his child’s call, a burly man quickly appeared. He stared at the giants moving through the woods with a grave expression.
“Fight? Against whom?” The child, cheeks faintly covered with green scales and a sharp protrusion on his forehead, asked curiously, looking up.
“Who else but the Desolate Beasts?”
“Desolate Beasts.” The child paused, then fell slightly into a daze. For him, Desolate Beasts were a distant reality; he could not remember the last time he had seen those flesh-consuming monsters.
It seemed since he entered Glorious Base City, he had never seen those creatures again. He only knew that from that day on, his life had steadily improved, although his body continued to undergo subtle changes daily, everything else was good.
“Only such monsters are worthy opponents for them.” The man, watching the giants walking past their cabin, looked far into the sky where dragons flew in the same direction as the giants.
“A war that will determine the future destiny of the world is about to begin.” The man thought to himself as he watched the scene unfold, hesitance showed on his face but it quickly hardened into determination.
“Ann, stay at home, I’ll be gone for a while.”
“Dad, what are you going to do?” The child looked up at his increasingly tall father, asking with some concern.
“As a human, I will take part in this war that will decide the destiny of the world,” the man’s resounding voice rose as he entered the wooden house, then carried out a greatsword as tall as his three-meter-high stature—a Divine Machine.
“But we are no longer humans.”
“Appearance doesn’t matter, as long as we identity with being human, we are still human.” The man leapt down from the nearly ten-meter-high wooden house.
As his body and his son’s bodies underwent noticeable mutations, they followed the trend, moving out of the base city with the original residents to live in self-built cabins outdoors.
Though they were outside the city, the safety level was almost the same as inside. Furthermore, the houses in the base city, built to accommodate standard human bodies, were no longer suitable, so more and more residents were moving out.
“Dad, I’m coming with you.”
“Stop, just stay here and wait for me to come back,” the man turned and stared at his son who was prepared to jump down, “If you die with me on the battlefield, wouldn’t that be the end of our line? Can’t you just stay behind?”
“But we don’t even seem like father and son anymore; I feel more like you picked me up.” The child muttered softly upon hearing his father’s words.
“Nonsense, whether you are my son, I’m very clear about that, quit your nonsense and just stay put.” The man burst into laughter upon hearing his son’s silly talk.
“Oh,” the child seemingly complied, but his eyes dodging his father’s gaze betrayed his real thoughts.
“Heh.” The man, seeing his son’s demeanor, narrowed his eyes, thought about it, and decided not to pursue further. He turned and walked along a giant’s large footprints in the earth and chased after it…
