Chapter 1128 - 1128 1115 Dance of the Ancient Dragon
Chapter 1128: Chapter 1115: Dance of the Ancient Dragon Chapter 1128: Chapter 1115: Dance of the Ancient Dragon The roar of the dragon resounded, silencing everything; all cries of the desolate beasts vanished as if a play climbing towards its climax was suddenly paused, the stark contrast between motion and stillness left one feeling deeply uncomfortable.
The weaker desolate beasts trembled uncontrollably after the roar erupted, as a wave of scorching breath carrying the Dragon Prestige gradually spread, the air quickly heated up to a perceptible degree.
Centered around Muria, the rubble of buildings and some carcasses of desolate beasts around him all ignited, wrapping some of the weaker desolate beasts in fierce flames; they screamed in agony within the flames and eventually were burnt to ashes in despair.
“What is that?” Not only were the desolate beasts intimidated by the roar, the divine machine users fighting them felt the same pressure; one of them spoke with some difficulty.
“Not sure, but it doesn’t seem to be bad,” the captain, Soma, looked towards Muria, it was more than clear to anyone that the current anomaly was related to Muria.
“Fenrir, what exactly is he doing?” The sudden change caused the desolate beasts to halt their approach, and the patrolling team dared not make any rash moves, for the pressure was simply too terrifying.
“Come out, what are you dawdling for?” Hearing that roar, Muria frowned, waiting a couple of breaths, yet seeing no further developments, he spoke.
Roar!
Another full-bodied and majestic roar echoed, and then a fierce and dignified head protruded from the spatial tunnel, the temperature and pressure in the atmosphere climbing even further as this dragon head appeared.
Rumble—
As the dragon head appeared, the sky above Muria’s head suddenly darkened, brimming with a destructive presence as thunder flickered in the sky, seeming ready to strike at any moment.
“What is this?” Ancient Red Dragon Auston, who had been sleeping in Mureya’s Half-plane for a long time and had just been awakened, shrank his neck as he looked at the thunder seemingly locked above him and ready to strike.
“What are you afraid of? With me here, these thunders won’t strike down,” Muria, seeing Auston being so cautious, couldn’t help but find it amusing. Even a haughty Red Dragon, after many long years, knew the value of life.
“Really?” Auston asked somewhat dubiously.
“Hurry up and come out, don’t dawdle, even if these thunders strike, they won’t kill you.”
“Oh.” Reassured by the fact that the thunder wouldn’t kill him, Auston, just awoken and still somewhat dazed, began to grow bolder and started observing his surroundings.
He looked around, seeing the ruins of a destroyed city and the desolate beasts with fierce forms shaking atop the debris, and also those weak humans warily watching him.
However, Auston didn’t care about these; he wasn’t interested in them, as his attention was drawn by Muria in front of him, “Boss, how did you become so weak?”
“Just a layer of disguise,” Muria looked up, meeting the gaze of Auston whose dragon eyes were as hot as a lava pool, seemingly harboring some peculiar thoughts.
Thus, Muria’s true self, whose eyes were dazzling and radiant like the sun, reflected in Auston’s mind, making clear that Muria still possessed the power to crush him.
However, Auston, now well-behaved, had his curiosity piqued. As a Red Dragon, he still couldn’t understand why a powerful being would disguise itself as weak.
“What’s the point of that?”
“To avoid being struck by lightning,” Muria replied casually.
“Can you teach me that?” Auston, unconcerned by Muria’s dismissive attitude, asked eagerly.
“You can’t learn it now,” Muria glanced at Auston, who was entertaining fanciful thoughts, knowing that the Heavenly Demon Secret Technique was far beyond the grasp of a Red Dragon not yet at the Legendary Peak.
This Epic-level secret technique’s sophistication lay in allowing its practitioners to hold legitimate identities in any world. It might seem inconspicuous, but for powerful beings, a world’s lawful identity is of immense importance.
Take a simple example of two epic adversaries from different worlds where the stronger one wanted to eliminate the other to prevent future troubles.
If the weaker one knew he couldn’t win, he would just hide in his Mother World and not come out. At this point, the stronger epic would pretty much be helpless.
Because he couldn’t possibly invade the opponent’s Mother World to kill them—it would be suicidal. Not only would he face an epic adversary, but also the deepest wrath of a world.
Improperly put, no mother would sit idly by as an outsider entered her home to kill her child.
But with the Heavenly Demon Secret Technique, the scenario changes completely, turning an invasion into an internal conflict among siblings, in which the world would not intervene but might even expel both out of the world.
“Oh!” Auston let out a disappointed growl, but still somewhat reluctant, continued to inquire, “Isn’t there any other way?”
“Sure, just slay all these monsters as your offer of allegiance,” Muria pointed at the surrounding desolate beasts.
“Is it that simple?”
“Of course.”
For this small world, already eroded to desperation by the Evil God’s Followers, as long as one could prove that they were not in league with the Evil God’s Followers and were there to help, they generally would not face targeted hostility.
This world, desperate to continue existing in the Void, had no choice, and would cling to any straw. Therefore, it wouldn’t consider whether Auston had any ulterior motives.
Roar!
Having received the explicit order to slaughter from Muria, Auston let out an excited dragon roar.
The evil dragons irradiated by Muria’s bloodline aura were different from normal evil dragons, able to suppress the inherent malignance in their bloodline. However, their desire to destroy and kill had not vanished.
They waited for instructions or the right opportunity to unleash the suppressed inherent malignance on their enemies. And now, Auston had been given the chance to unleash.
Click!
Only enough space for Auston to poke his head through, a pair of strong and powerful dragon claws appeared in the spatial tunnel. The claws forcefully tore the tunnel wider.
A long dragon neck covered in thick dark-red scales extended, followed by a broad and solid chest, and then the dragon claws capable of easily tearing through space reached out… The Ancient Red Dragon Auston from the world of Erathia appeared in this world.
When he fully emerged, dark thunder shined increasingly dense in the sky, but did not fall.
The World Will, awakened by the world’s looming destruction, was also watching, because this dragon was summoned by Muria. It, too, was hoping for external support.
Roar!
Although he had ample sky for flying, the Red Dragon Auston still felt a sense of compression from the dimensions and laws, emitting a discontented dragon roar.
Then he spread his wings and flew high into the sky, his strong and fierce body full of a powerful aesthetic, circling in the air, leaving behind trails visible to the naked eye in fiery red.
Dance of the Dragon!
At this moment, Auston seemed to be performing a visually striking Dance of the Dragon with his body, filled with a powerful beauty of the Ancient Red Dragon.
As Auston moved his dragon body, the pervasive Dragon Prestige grew more intense, the temperature in the atmosphere began to climb again, and flames even appeared out of nowhere in the air.
“It looks really ugly, no sense of beauty at all.”
At some point, a Red Dragon slightly smaller than Auston had perched next to Muria, commenting maliciously on her brother’s Dance of the Dragon.
As her comment ended, in the atmosphere, fireballs of varying sizes formed and then, like meteors, fell to the ground with long trails of flames.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
One after another, explosions rang out, and bunches of bright, splendid flames blossomed over the ruins of the city, bringing an unusual aesthetic, and as the sea of flaming flowers bloomed, the wails of Desolate Beasts rose and fell in succession.
“It looks quite beautiful now,” Muria commented, admiring the sea of flowers before her.
“Barely acceptable,” Cynthia, the Red Dragon who had arrived in this world just after Auston, said grudgingly. She had just dared to comment on her brother’s casting posture but not the power of the spells themselves.
“Ha! Just acceptable, Cynthia? I didn’t know you ever surpassed me in casting,”
said the Ancient Red Dragon, having just completed his first massacre after awakening, as he descended from the sky, eyeing his sister while ignoring the giant dragons continuously flying out from the nearby spatial tunnels, curiously looking around.
“That should be enough,” Muria said, not concerned about the first sibling reunion of the long-slumbering dragons. He surveyed the sky, then forcibly closed the spatial tunnel above their heads.
The sky had undergone a fascinating change during the time Auston cast his spells, precisely bombing all visible Desolate Beasts; the thunder in the sky targeting Auston visibly diminished at a rapid pace.
However, as more giant dragons emerged from Muria’s Half-plane, the thunder in the sky appeared again, its density surpassing when Auston had first appeared.
“One hundred and nine dragons, including sixteen Ancient Dragons, that should temporarily be enough,” Muria estimated, looking at the dragons before him. They already represented the maximum number the world could tolerate, but this tolerance would increase as they slaughtered more of the Evil God’s Followers, eventually becoming boundless.
