Chapter 87: I Trust You, Axel

They pulled Daren out of the box car and untied his legs. They forced him to walk into the compound. Daren intended to escape by fighting them, but there were quite a few of them and the people outside the compound were holding weapons.

He couldn’t risk fighting them all alone, so he waited until there were only a few people in the room. Daren couldn’t just wait for Axel to rescue him.

’I need to memorize every path to the exit so I can escape. At least get out of this place and hide until Axel arrives,’ the Omega thought.

"Move quickly! You’re so slow!" they yelled as they continued to push Daren into a room where there was only one chair.

He sat on the chair, and looked at the three people standing in front of him now. He was still confused as to who these people were and why they were taking him.

And it seemed Daren’s confusion was read by one of them who seemed to be the leader of the group.

"You must feel confused as to why you are here and why we brought you. That’s why I, as the one who led your kidnapping operation, will tell you the real reason. And you will know who should be responsible for this incident," said the man named Jet.

He explains that he’s been assigned to capture a man named Victor, someone his boss has always wanted. But of course Daren didn’t understand, who was this Victor they were talking about?

Daren vividly remembered he’d never had anyone he knew named Victor.

"Oh you must not be familiar with the name Victor that I mentioned. You must know him better as Axel," the man said.

"Axel? So you were after him, but you kidnapped me? Are you remembering taking me as a hostage for him?" asked Daren with a strange feeling that he was the one who became a victim.

However, he immediately remembered that Axel once had a problem with a group that lent him money. He thought maybe Axel had used Victor’s name for the loan.

Little did he know that it was made up by the Alpha.

"Are you guys the group that collected the debt from Axel? To go this far with me. How much does that guy owe now?" asked Deren which made the people in the room feel confused.

Jet was confused by Daren’s words.

"I’ll pay all his debts and interest, as long as you let me and him go!" he said again.

But Jet immediately put his knife to Daren’s neck thinking that the man was joking with him.

"I’m being serious right now, and don’t play games with me. What debt are you talking about?!" he threatened.

"So this isn’t a debt Axel has? I thought you guys were the group that went after him because of a debt he had. If that’s true, then tell me the amount!"

Suddenly, Daren was hit in the temple with the handle of the knife Jet was holding. Making the Omega whimper in pain and blood flow from his temple.

"Uhhh..."

"Don’t talk nonsense like that! Are you sure you don’t know who he is?"

"I know, he’s my bodyguard. He said he owes you guys for training as a bodyguard...." Daren replied with a slight limp.

Jet then grabbed Daren’s lower jaw and said that he didn’t know anything about Axel. And the man intended to tell him so that the mission Axel had failed.

"What mission are you talking about? Who exactly is he? I really don’t understand what’s going on," he said.

He was completely baffled by what was going on right now, who was Victor really and was it just a name Axel used to borrow money? And what mission did those people mean.

"I’ll tell you who Victor really is. Maybe you see him as your bodyguard named Axel. Little did you know he was a cold-blooded man who was a..."

Just as Jet was about to continue, a loud noise came from outside and the door to the room they were in was slammed shut by someone.

They all turned around and it was Axel. His body was splattered with blood with a rifle in his hand.

"Victor!"

"Where is he?!" he asked with a growl of annoyance.

He looked at the center of the room where Daren was, and was shocked to see blood flowing from his Omega’s temple. His anger grew and he fought the people in the room.

"You cowards, you used that Omega to bring me here! Who do you think you are, you can use someone else to catch me."

"I don’t care who gets involved as long as I catch you."

Jet then pulled Daren towards him while holding a knife to the Omega’s neck. Threatening that if Axel did not drop his weapon and surrender, he would kill Daren right in front of him.

"Don’t you dare dare hurt him again, or I’ll kill you this very moment!"

"Just do it, then you’ll see this Omega with his throat open. Quickly drop your weapon and don’t fight back," he threatened as he pressed the sharp knife to his neck.

"Ughh..."

Blood flowed from the blond man’s neck, which made Daren whimper in pain as his neck was scratched by the knife. Unable to look at his injured uncle, Axel finally chose to give up.

Of course he didn’t want that to happen and dropped the weapon in his hand two other members immediately caught Axel’s hand with Jet who finally released Daren and approached the Alpha.

THUD!

He was beaten by Jet and his two men without being able to fight back so that Daren would not be harmed.

Seeing the incident, Daren seemed to witness the same incident when he lost Aldrich. Where he could only lie and watch his older brother being beaten by several people.

"No... Stop... Please stop..." he said in a weak voice.

’No... Axel... I don’t want... It’s happening again... I...’

As if he was gaining strength as his anger peaked, Daren roused himself even though his hands were still bound. He walked over to Jet and kicked the man in the head.

"I told you to stop!" he shouted loudly glaring at Jet and his men because he didn’t want to see any of them sacrifice themselves for him.

"What a fucking Omega! How dare you kick me in the head!" said Jet angrily as he ordered his men to finish Deren off.

"You’re wrong to think that I’m a weak Omega. This time I won’t stand by and watch someone I love get hurt just because of me!" replied Daren while staring at Jet with a gaze that was so cold but tears were welling up in his eyes.

Seeing that the three men had their eyes on Daren, Axel jumped at the chance to beat them up quickly before they could fight back.

The man spat blood as they made his lips bleed. He then turned to himself and released the rope binding his hands.

"Axel!" Daren hugged his lover tightly still terrified at how they had beaten the man. "I was so scared of losing you too."

He hugged him back tightly, feeling so relieved to find his Omega again.

"I won’t die that easily. Let’s leave this place now."

The two of them then went to the hospital where Daren was finally treated as well as Axel. They went straight back to the mansion at night when everyone was already asleep leaving them with no idea what had happened.

"Now you better rest and tomorrow we’ll talk about this again." Axel rubbed Daren’s head and kept him company as usual until the man fell asleep.

"I’m glad you came to my rescue, Axel. Because I trust you so much..." Daren murmured before drifting off to sleep.

He looked up at the Omega, feeling so guilty that he had put Daren in danger. Making his Omega almost lose his life because of him. And now he remembered the reason why he never wanted to have an Omega in his life because of the job he had.

"Is all this a mistake?" he muttered in confusion.

Until he finally got a message on his cell phone from someone unexpected.
