Chapter 81: N.O? What Is It?

He was even more curious about the N.O. written on the corner of the phone case. Was it an initial of a name? Or a place and so on?

"Hmn... N.O? No? Is it an abbreviation? N.O, but Ivan’s name doesn’t start with the letter N," muttered a confused Daren.

He then looked around Ivan’s room and found a cell phone charger on his bedside table.

"Oh sweet!" Daren walked over to get the charger and charged the phone in his hand.

After 30 seconds, the phone charged but was still dead. Because he was very curious, Daren immediately pressed the on button very long so that the cellphone would turn on.

The cellphone brand logo appears, indicating that the cellphone can still be turned on. He waited until the logo disappeared and showed the main screen of the phone.

"Oh in a minute."

When the screen finally darkened, Daren could see the shadow of someone standing behind him from the reflection on the phone screen.

Reflexively he looked back and saw Ivan smiling at him.

"What are you doing, Daren?" the man asked him.

"Ohh... I’m just curious about this phone. Is it yours?" asked Daren.

Ivan took the phone from Daren’s hand before the Omega could look at the screen that was already lit up. "It’s not my phone, it’s my friend’s phone that he left behind," he replied as he looked at the screen of the phone in his hand.

The look in his eyes seemed to change, describing something Daren didn’t know what it was.

"I see, sorry I was too curious. Especially the N.O. on the back. Are those his initials?"

The man chuckled and nodded, those were the initials of his friend who owned the phone. Ivan removed the charger until the phone turned off again.

"You’d better go back to the living room, Daren. Your bodyguard must be waiting for you."

"Right, then I’ll go back to the living room. By the way, I bought that gift for you!"

He pointed to a glass jar filled with small beach-themed ornaments. Daren knew Ivan was a loves for beach scenes, so he bought it for him.

He then left Ivan’s room, leaving him alone as he walked towards his desk. Ivan picked up the glass jar and stared at it for a moment before tossing it in the trash.

In the living room, Daren returned to sit next to his lover who was busy with his cell phone.

"Where have you been? What took you so long?" Axel asked.

"I’ll tell you about it later at the mansion," Daren replied and leaned back on the sofa.

For some reason he felt a little confused when he saw Ivan’s gaze, which was different from the Ivan he knew. A gaze that was both blank and cold, as if it wasn’t the friendly Ivan.

’Is he angry because I touched the cell phone? Or...’

A few minutes later, Ivan returned with what he said were three cups of tea. From a distance, Daren and Axel could smell the fragrant coffee and Ivan placed them on the table.

"Try it, I’m sure you’ll like it," he said.

"Thank you, Ivan!" Without hesitation, Daren took his cup and savored the coffee.

It was sweet and slightly bitter, but it was the right blend to drink. He liked it so much, he wished he could drink it every day.

He was happy that Daren liked it, saying that he’d bought a special box for Daren so he could drink it again.

"Really? Thank you, Ivan. I wanted to apologize for carelessly touching your friend’s phone too," she told Ivan.

"No problem, I put it there too. My friend will pick it up later tonight," Ivan replied while drinking his coffee.

Axel was quite curious, what cell phone was Daren referring to? But he didn’t ask until they were alone later.

Daren and Ivan chatted about what Daren did during the shoot. As usual, Axel just listened to their conversation until finally two hours passed, they finally returned to the mansion.

When they arrived at the mansion, Mike immediately came to greet them both. He was very happy that Daren was finally back.

"I missed you so much, Young Master! Thank goodness nothing bad happened to you!" Mike said happily and asked the servants to bring Daren’s belongings.

"I missed you too, Mike! I missed when you woke me up and made me tea," replied Daren who hugged the ginger Alpha suddenly.

Mike gasped in surprise at Daren’s embrace, but he slowly returned the hug, even going so far as to gently rub Daren’s head.

’I missed you so much too. I miss seeing you open your eyes in the morning, that morning smile you always showed me. I miss when you whined spoiledly when I woke you up,’ he thought to himself. ’Two weeks feels like an eternity.’

The Alpha then turned to Axel who was frowning because he didn’t like seeing Daren hugging him. Mike slowly released Daren’s hug and smiled.

"Then I’ll take you to your room, young master," he said.

"All right, let’s go Ivan!" invited Daren.

But Ivan refused, he had other things to do. He then got back into his car and left the Wyne Family mansion grounds.

The three men then entered the mansion and Axel went to his own room to rest while Daren and Mike went to the third floor.

"So how was your vacation with Mr. Axel? Was everything fun?"

"It was fun, we went around the beach and bought delicious seafood and drank fresh coconut water. I bought this for you!"

He handed over a bracelet with beach-themed ornaments such as shells, starfish and others. Mike smiled as he received it and watched how Daren put the bracelet on Mike’s wrist.

"I’m wearing the same bracelet too! I bought it for you because you’re not just my servant, you’re like a little brother to me! We wear the same bracelet to mark our brotherhood!"

"A little brother..." Mike’s eyes dropped slightly, staring at the bracelet in his hand. He smiled softly as he heard it.

"You’ve always been there for me and kept me company since childhood. Thank you, Mike!"

"You’re welcome, young master."

After almost 40 minutes, Mike walked out of Daren’s room and bumped into Axel. He just smiled at him and walked away.

Axel entered his master’s room and saw Daren playing with his cell phone.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" he asked as he walked over to Daren’s bed and sat on the edge.

"Oh about that..." He told him about the discovery of the cell phone in Ivan’s room that the Beta man had said was his friend’s.

Daren also mentioned the initials N.O on the corner of the phone. But he didn’t get to see the contents because Ivan had arrived first.

"N.O?" asked Axel who immediately fell silent for a moment thinking about it.

He tried to piece together some of the things that had been happening around them lately until Axel finally found a connection.

"Could it be..."
