Chapter 34: Something He Doesn’t Like

It had been three weeks since the commotion between Daren and his father on the anniversary of the death of Aldrich, the first son of the Wyne family. Since that day, there had been no communication between them.

Even Barney had begun to consider Daren’s existence unimportant.

The blonde Omega didn’t think much of it, and tried to carry on as usual. He went shooting, practicing, and so on. It didn’t matter what the situation at home was like.

Until finally, Mike told Daren about the master’s orders.

"The master wants young master to go to dinner with an Alpha, the second son of the company owner, Namor Company. The dinner will be tomorrow night and Master wants you meet the Alpha," explained Daren’s personal butler after he got the order from his Master.

Hearing that, Daren chuckled in annoyance as he was about to be introduced to another Alpha. Of course it was all for the sake of their business, and Barney’s words on the subject were always running through his head.

"At least make yourself more useful to this family."

’You mean by selling me to the Alphas, the sons of other companies so that Marabella has an Alpha who can carry on? Heh, it’s always like that,’ he thought irritably.

Axel, who was there at the time, noticed Daren’s uncomfortable face about the order his father gave. Although he had been working as the man’s bodyguard for almost a year, he had been involved in this matchmaking thing several times.

And none of them had ever ended well. They always got rejected by Daren with something bad. Either Daren would splash them in the face, say mean things and so on.

But of course, Daren did all that because the Alphas looked down on him.

’I wonder what it will be like. Will they get along? I doubt even that Alpha will put up with this Omega’s behavior,’ Axel commented in his mind.

Daren sighed harshly as he leaned back against the sofa he was sitting on, he hated times like this. He felt like not attending the dinner, especially since they always said the same thing about Omega.

"Young master, I think you should come to the event for the good name of the Wyne Family. And also for the sake of improving your relationship with Master. Remembering that Master is no longer angry with you and everything is back to normal. If you don’t come, Master could get even angrier," explained Mike who didn’t want Daren to get into any more trouble.

He knew the man wouldn’t like this and things couldn’t possibly return to normal just because Daren went to the introduction. But at least it would keep him out of trouble.

"I know, I’ll have to go again. But I can’t guarantee that he’ll come home happy. I’ll reject him and even humiliate him if he dares to disrespect me," Daren replied in a tone that was cold with annoyance.

Even without saying that, Mike already knew the answer.

"Yes, I understand."

The next night, Daren wore a light blue shirt with a black blazer to meet whoever Alpha had introduced him to.

As usual, Axel drove the car and took him to a five-star restaurant in the center of the city.

They both entered the restaurant and went to a VIP room that had been reserved.

"This way Mr. Wyne, Mr. Morgan is waiting for you," said a waiter as he showed the way and opened the door to a room.

When they looked inside, they saw that the room wasn’t very large but the decor inside was very luxurious. And from there, Daren could see a man sitting waiting for him.

He had dark hair, wore glasses and was quite modest in appearance. When Daren and Axel went inside, the man immediately stood up and approached them.

"You must be Daren, you look better than in the photos and on television," he said as he extended his hand.

"Yes, my name is Daren." He accepted the man’s hand and shook it. "So what’s your name?"

He smiled, "My name is Samuel Morgan, it’s nice to meet you. And maybe we can get to know each other better," he replied.

This was the first time Daren had heard someone say that, out of all the Alphas introduced to him, only Samuel seemed to be very friendly. Most of them immediately showed their dominant nature for Daren to immediately submit and accept the situation.

Samuel then turned to Axel who was next to Daren, feeling a bit confused as to why another Alpha had come along with him.

"He’s my bodyguard, he follows me everywhere because of my father’s orders. Don’t pay too much attention to him, he’ll just be watching," said the Omega then turned to Axel, as if giving the man the code to go to his position.

The bodyguard nodded and stood in the corner of the room, since the room was not large, he could still watch Daren from that distance.

As usual, their meeting was done without their parents as they thought they were old enough to organize the dinner themselves. So this was just like a first date between Daren and all the Alphas he had been introduced to.

Everything went very well, they exchanged information about themselves. Daren was quite impressed with the Alpha in front of him now who was very open about his hobbies and daily activities as an actor.

"That was great, I loved seeing your acting in that short movie. It was really great, and I never thought I’d be introduced to you," Samuel said and then moved a little closer to Daren. "I’m a big fan of yours," he continued.

"Did you like watching it? Ahaha... Thank you. I’m glad you liked it. And I think I can consider it for our second date," Daren replied.

He got along well with Samuel and thought, if his parents wanted him to get to know the Alphas they introduced him to, Samuel would fit the bill.

Axel actually wrinkled his forehead when he heard that, it was unusual for Daren to accept an Alpha so readily. Usually he would reject him outright. But he admitted that this Alpha was somewhat different from the Alphas Daren had previously met.

Even so, there was a feeling of discomfort and annoyance in Axel because he saw how Daren smiled and talked intimately with Samuel.

"Really? Oh great, I want to date you again too," Samuel said happily.

"Yes, oh yeah and one more thing. If in the future we do... You know, get married? I want to stay in showbiz, you liked my acting in the short movie, right? That means it’s no big deal, right?" asked Daren happily thinking that Samuel would allow it.

However, the Alpha seemed confused by Daren’s request to stay in showbiz.

"You want to keep working? But my mom says Omega is better off not working. My mom says that Omega stays at home," he replied, which immediately surprised Daren.

"Huh?"
