Chapter 31: A Graduation Party

Ivan had just graduated with his first degree from university, and he and his friends intended to have a party at a karaoke bar to sing and drink. He invited Daren to come along because his friends wanted to meet the Omega.

"They said they liked seeing you on television. That’s why when they found out I was friends with you, they wanted me to invite you. So you don’t have to worry about them rejecting you," Ivan explained.

"Really? Good then. I hope I’m not intruding," Daren said.

Ivan was actually hesitant not because of Daren, but because Axel was with them too. He had asked Daren that Axel didn’t need to come. Moreover, Barney believed in him, it would be fine if Daren only went with him.

However, Daren himself wanted Axel to come with him. "If he doesn’t go, then neither do I," he said at the time.

So Axel was forced to go with them to the karaoke place, where his friends were waiting. They left at 8pm and intended to return the next morning.

When they arrived at the karaoke place, it turned out that they invited several Omegas who were on the same campus as them.

The bodyguard took a look at the surrounding area, seeing how many people had come to the room. ’There are 5 Alphas, 4 Omegas and 3 Betas including Ivan,’ he thought at the time.

As soon as Ivan and the others arrived, they immediately turned around and welcomed Daren. They would have been waiting for the Omega’s arrival.

"Oh it’s true, he’s the Daren on TV! I thought Ivan was just bragging about being friends with you," said one of the Alphas who immediately approached Daren.

"I told you I wasn’t lying, he’s my friend from school. Right Deren?" Ivan put his arm around his best friend’s shoulder and Daren nodded and said that it was true.

"Hello everyone, thank you for inviting me to your party. I hope I’m not a bother and let’s have some fun," Daren told them.

The party finally started with them choosing a song to sing. Some even paired up to sing together. Daren was also asked to sing, at first he wanted to refuse the invitation but they kept pushing him to sing along with Axel.

"Come on you two, don’t stay silent, come sing along with us, what song do you want to sing?"

Daren was hesitant about it plus he didn’t know if Axel could sing or not. He turned to his bodyguard, as if asking the man’s opinion.

"A song that’s not too difficult, I can still sing it."

"Alright then this one," he said and chose one of the songs that was easy to sing for the two of them.

Everyone was waiting impatiently to hear Daren and Axel sing. The music started and the song played, Daren sang first and it turned out that he could follow the rhythm of the song. His voice was good enough to sing in front of them.

Until finally the thing they’ve been waiting for started, they waited for Axel to sing because he was just silent and looked very stiff. They seemed to want to laugh at the Alpha if it turned out that he sang in a very bad voice.

"Now it’s your turn," Daren said.

Axel opened his mouth and sang according to the lyrics. It turned out that beyond their expectations, Axel could sing with an even better voice than Daren. The big, grumpy man had a hidden talent: he could sing.

Some of those who weren’t thinking of laughing at Axel were amazed by the Alpha’s beautiful voice.

"Wow, how cool!" one Omega shouted, followed by the other Omega friends.

Not only them, but Daren was also amazed by Axel’s beautiful voice. ’I never thought that he could sing,’ thought the blonde-haired man.

They both enjoyed the song they were singing, until finally the song stopped playing. The audience applauded because they thought their voices were very good. Moreover, their score was above the high score they got.

"I didn’t know you could sing," Daren said.

"I guess it’s all in my mom’s genes. I told you that she hated me so much that she couldn’t get the future she was supposed to get, right?"

"Yes, I remember you saying that. Then what’s up with that?"

"Before my mom met my dad, she was a singer at a cafe. She sang from one cafe to another and was quite famous at the time. And she aspired to be a famous singer, but everything ended up happening," Axel explained.

Daren nodded in understanding and sat down with the others. Some of the Omegas approached Axel, complimenting him on his beautiful voice. They seemed to be looking for his attention but Axel didn’t seem interested in them at all.

"Your voice is very good, you are handsome and have a very strong body. Do you have a girlfriend?"

"It’s none of your business, you better get out of my way."

"Don’t be rude, we’re just curious," said another Omega as he rubbed Axel’s shoulder.

Daren watched as his bodyguard was being courted by the other Omegas. It was none of his business and he couldn’t possibly tell them to get away from Axel. But for some reason he felt the Omegas were disturbing his view.

Moreover, they were flirting with the Alpha. The Alpha who was always with him and became his bodyguard

"I want to kick them out but I can’t possibly do that. They’re Ivan’s friends, and if there’s a scene Ivan will be the one embarrassed," he muttered, trying to refrain from getting annoyed at the Omega females.

At the same time an Alpha sat down next to Daren and offered him a glass of iced tea.

"Your performance was very good, drink up and you’ll feel better," the Alpha said.

"Oh thank you," said Deren then intended to drink the drink given by the Alpha.

"I didn’t expect that I could meet you. My name is Marco," he introduced himself.

"Oh hello Marco, thank you for the drink I was feeling quite tofu and I ran out of my iced tea."

Marco then told Daren to drink the iced tea immediately, so that the Omega man would no longer feel thirsty. He nodded and took the glass to drink it immediately.

Marco grinned secretly, as if he had something planned in the drink that Daren was about to take.
