Chapter 225: Who Is His Favorite?

"Mama! Let’s try to call me mama!" Daren said to his son as he tried to teach the baby to call him.

He wanted Seth’s first word to be calling mama and it would make him feel so happy to hear how his baby could call him.

As long as he is not back at work yet, Daren wants to spend a lot of time with Seth and Victor because he is sure that once he gets back to work, he will be busy with his usual shooting schedule.

Therefore, he wanted to teach Seth a lot of things so that when he left his son, he knew that Seth could call out to him.

"Come on Seth! Call mama, ma-ma... It’s not hard to do, you can do it!" he exclaimed.

Seth, however, looked confused and laughed every time he mentioned it. He still needed time to learn and follow what his mother was saying at the moment.

"If you can’t say the word Mama, say the word Daddy. I know you are a genius and love me very much. You can definitely say the word daddy or dada," said Victor who sat next to Daren because he also did not want to lose to his lover to get the main word of their baby.

"Wait a minute! I was the one who asked him to say the word Mama first! Don’t interfere first," said Daren in a quite annoyed tone even though he didn’t really feel that way.

But Victor did not listen to him and continued to teach Seth to say the word daddy. They both seemed to be competing for Seth to say or call one of them first.

This was witnessed by Viona who thought it was hilarious.

"You can definitely do it, but you have to remember that babies will call whoever is close to them. They might be able to follow what you teach them, but babies have this instinct to call whoever they want to call first," she says, explaining that she has had three children.

That’s why Viona knows how to teach them.

Hearing that, Daren felt that he was the closest to baby Seth because he was his mother. He had breastfed and given birth to baby Seth, so it was certain that the baby would call out to him first.

"I’m sure Seth will call me first because I’m always there for him." He felt very proud of himself for always being there for his baby.

Victor, however, said that he was also often there for Seth because he was the one who put their baby to bed if Seth woke up during the night. When Daren was asleep too, Victor kept Seth company.

"Don’t get too excited yet, I’m sure Seth will call me because I’m his favorite," the alpha replied.

The two of them argued and fought over this, which made Viona laugh with amusement. She found it very interesting to see how Daren and Victor were fighting over baby Seth’s first word.

"Look at them, your brother is so funny, Carol. He’s fighting over the first word your nephew will say," she said as she sat on the sofa holding her infant daughter.

Edgar, who was sitting next to her, was also watching and he smiled when he saw it.

"They’re really excited to teach Seth his first word," he said.

"You’re right, I’ll bet baby Seth will call Victor first instead of Daren," Viona said as she turned to her husband.

Now he chuckled when he heard Viona bet on that. Everyone knew that most babies pronounced daddy first and mommy first. Moreover, Edgar understood that.

Later in the day, Daren wanted to go outside for some fresh air with Victor and baby Seth. He invites Victor to go to the park, at least maybe enjoy the view with fresh air and food sold around the park.

"Baby Seth also needs time to refresh. He also needs a vacation by going out and seeing the scenery outside the house," he explained while carrying and walking on the path to the City Park.

The sky wasn’t so clear that day, but it wasn’t so dark. It was perfect for taking the babies outside as the heat wasn’t too harsh on them.

Victor then placed a cloth under the tree so that they could have a picnic there. He also put the food that the maids had prepared in a basket. They had deliberately chosen a place away from the crowds so that Daren could remove his hat and mask.

Daren sat Seth down on the mat, then gave him a softened avocado.

"The plane is coming! Wooossshhh!" he said, moving his hand as if it were an airplane flying into Seth’s wide-open mouth.

The baby laughed and clapped his hands as he ate his favorite food. His blue eyes sparkled, making Victor and Daren smile as they watched their baby enjoying the picnic.

"Let’s call Mommy!" said Daren, who was still trying to teach Seth to call himself.

"Give it up, he’ll definitely call me before you." Victor grinned as if he already knew that baby Seth would call him first.

The two of them fussed again, leaving Seth confused as his parents teased each other. The baby boy then tried to crawl closer to the two of them and placed his hands on each of his mother and father’s thighs.

Victor and Daren turned their heads when they felt Seth’s tiny hands on them. They both turned their heads and saw Seth who stared with a confused face whenever he heard them arguing over such a small thing.

"Ahh!!!"

From his eyes he seemed to be asking, "Did mom and dad fight because of me?"

But that was immediately denied by Victor by lifting baby Seth’s body onto his lap.

"We’re not fighting, sometimes your mom is just a stubborn person who doesn’t want to admit that he lost." Victor said in a teasing tone glancing at his omega lover.

The Omega pouted as he heard his Alpha say that to their son. "Your father started it first! Even though it’s clear that I’m the one you love the most, right?" he asked while pointing to his own face approaching Seth’s face.

Seth seemed to understand what his mother was asking, then touched his cheek with his tiny hand.

"Hahaha... I always knew that you love me more than you love your father!" he said proudly, making Victor roll his eyes in annoyance.

"That can’t be the case, he did it because he knows your face is very annoying. So he actually intended to push you away," Victor said, which made Daren pout again in annoyance at his lover’s words.

"My face is no more annoying than yours! You’re the one who’s more annoying than you’ve ever been!"

"You think so? Who do you think was the one who first told me that you liked me? You were the one who started telling me not to leave you and to stay with you. Doesn’t that mean you like me first, this guy you find annoying," he retorted with a sardonic look but a sly smile on his face.

Daren turns his face away in annoyance, saying that he was just scared and Victor was there for him. Especially since it was the night when Daren had almost been r*ped by a movie producer and Victor had been the only one there for him.

"So now you want to say that no one else was around and it was just me so you used me for that?"

"I’m not saying that! I was just..." Daren couldn’t continue as it was clear he only wanted Victor around.

With the alpha he loved, Daren always felt safe and comfortable around him. Even though he had not confessed his feelings to Victor at that time but from his request to stay with him, it was more than enough proof that he loved the man.

Victor pinched his lover’s cheek lightly, even though he felt upset by his words. But he knew that Daren loved him. He did it just to make fun of his nagging and to see his cute reactions when he got angry or pouted.

Again and again Seth witnessed his parents arguing over nothing, let alone over who was Seth’s favorite.

And at that moment he immediately seemed to scream, making Victor and Daren turn to him.

"Ahhhh!" the baby boy exclaimed which made Victor and Daren startle and look at their baby.

Both of his tiny hands lifted up as if to ask the two of them to come closer to him. Victor and Daren followed baby Seth’s wishes.

He then nuzzled into his mom and dad’s face while laughing as if to say, "No need to make a fuss like that. You two are my favorites. I love you both so you don’t have to think I only love one of you!"

Feeling Seth’s soft and chewy cheeks melted Victor’s and Daren’s hearts, making them smile and laugh along with their sons. They kissed Seth’s cheeks simultaneously which made him continue to laugh.

"Aww... Seth, I’m sorry your dad is such a jerk because he’s always looking for trouble," Daren said and took Seth into his arms. "He’s a very responsible alpha though, and also very considerate of you and me. As annoying as he is, he’s even willing to sacrifice anything for both of us."

A big smile appeared on the alpha’s face when he heard that, again his heart swelled when he heard his own words about her.

With his big, strong arms he pulled Daren onto his lap, then cradled the Omega along with their baby in his warm embrace.

Victor Osvaldo was a former hired agent who had killed countless people with his cold-blooded nature. He had turned into a warm man who loved his family very much.
