Chapter 178: Stuck In The Big Storm

"No need to worry, aren’t we friends?"

I paused feeling confused as to what he meant by the two of us being friends. I never even thought about being friends with someone like him, but why would he say such a stupid thing.

My head still hurt too much to think about what he said, but it was enough to bother me too.

"What do you mean by us being friends? I’ve never been friends with someone like you. So don’t assume we’re friends at all," I said.

But he said that he had saved me, meaning I was his friend. He never cared about anyone so he wouldn’t help anyone if they weren’t his friends.

I couldn’t understand what was going through his mind at the moment, as it was obvious that I couldn’t possibly like someone like him. But he kept saying that we were friends.

I was even more suspicious if he did something while I was unconscious. I looked at my body to see if there were any other bite marks that might look new that he gave me. Luckily there weren’t any bite marks and I was relieved that he hadn’t done anything strange to me.

"I told you I didn’t do anything to you. You are Victor’s Omega and I don’t want to touch anyone else’s."

"I’m still suspicious of you! You’re such a suspicious alpha that you might even do dangerous things to get what you want. Who knows, while I was unconscious, you took advantage by doing something to me!"

He visibly shook his head as he sighed. "You’re always on your guard just like Victor. But don’t worry, I really didn’t do anything to you. I could have but I chose not to," Aiden told me.

"Alright I’ll believe it for now! Where are my clothes? I’m going home now!"

Aiden said that all my clothes were still wet and it was still raining heavily outside. It was impossible for me to go home because the wind was also blowing so hard, it could have blown away the umbrella I was carrying.

What he said was true, it would be difficult for me to go home let alone walk home. Taxis were also unlikely to come as many of them refused to take orders at a time like this.

When I looked back at him, he was already at the edge of the bed and sitting so close to me while smiling kindly. What did he mean by smiling at me like that?

"So what do you think, my friend? Are you just going to sit there quietly or drink this hot tea together with me?" he asked while showing me a cup of hot tea that he seemed to have made.

I couldn’t 100% believe it let alone the tea in his hand. But my throat also felt so dry and sore and I wanted to drink something warm.

He thrust the tea in front of my face, and I had to drink it hoping he didn’t mix anything in it.

"How is it? Do you like the tea that I brewed myself?"

"It tastes so warm and sweet. Did you mix cinnamon and ginger into it? It’s a little spicy but I like it," I replied.

The flavor of the tea wasn’t my taste, but it was enough to make me feel so relieved and warm. The nausea in my stomach since morning also subsided. I didn’t realize that my hands were shaking from the cold and I also felt that my stomach was so empty.

"What’s wrong, are you hungry?" asked Aiden, who realized that my stomach was empty.

"No, I’m not hungry at all. I’m just a little tired," I replied trying to cover it up.

"Are you sure? I can see from your face that you’re actually holding back hunger. Just tell me the truth, I’ll make you a sandwich."

I kept saying that I wasn’t hungry, but suddenly my stomach made a noise that made me feel very embarrassed when I heard him laugh. He suddenly messed up my hair and left again.

What exactly did he want?

I got out of bed and walked after him. When I came out of the room, I started to realize that I seemed to be in an apartment. Did he stay here as long as he kept chasing Mike?

"Even though I’m just going to make it for a while, you don’t need to follow me all the way to the kitchen," he said.

"I’m just curious about this place. We’re not outside the North, are we?"

"Don’t worry, we’re not too far from the suburbs. There’s no way I’m taking you too far in a storm like this anyway. You’d better sit down and I’ll make a sandwich in a few minutes."

Since I was too hungry and had no other choice, I sat on the dining table chair and watched him making the food. Making sure he didn’t put anything in there and that the food was safe to eat.

He then placed a plate of sandwiches on the table and I ate them.

"What time is it?" I asked.

Because I’m sure they’re waiting for me right now if I’m gone for too long.

"It’s already 4:15. You took quite a while when you fainted earlier," Aiden replied while sitting next to me.

I was silent for a moment and remembered what time it was that I last had my consciousness. And I realized that it was 11:00 in the afternoon and now it was 4:00 in the afternoon.

"Damn they must be looking for me! Where’s my phone? I have to tell them before they report me missing to the police," I asked while asking him for my phone.

He pointed to the table that my cell phone was on the charger because it had been damaged by rainwater. I sighed because I had indirectly caused this much trouble.

I picked up my cell phone on the table and saw that I had a lot of missed calls from Edgar, Mike, and Victor. The three Alphas had called me dozens of times and I hadn’t answered at all.

Even Victor sent me a lot of messages, and it seemed as if he was looking for me. When I was about to reply to his message, I remembered Aiden’s story about Victor and the night Aldrich lost his life.

I don’t know why that thought came back to my head, I shouldn’t be thinking about it anymore considering it was so long ago but there was still a feeling of resentment inside me.

"Should I reply to his message or not?" I muttered in confusion because I didn’t feel like talking to him right now.

"What’s wrong? Are you now having doubts about your own boyfriend?"

I could feel Aiden’s body behind me and he held both my shoulders. He leaned towards me and whispered.

"He should have apologized to you instead of hiding this from you."
