Chapter 121: Is It Time To End It All?

A deal was struck between Daren and Ivan or Sam Walton where they would meet each other at a place. Since he couldn’t possibly take the two Alphas who were always with him, Daren chose Axel to go with him.

"Are you sure it’s around here? It looks like a long-abandoned area. All I remember is an abandoned factory," said Axel, who was driving the car.

"I think so, it matches the point on the map," Daren replied.

Before long, the Alpha’s cell phone lit up because someone was calling him. He picked it up using his bluetooth earphones.

"Hello, are you inside? How’s it going in there?" he asked the person he was calling.

Curious, Daren looked at his lover’s cell phone, who he was calling. It turned out to be Wilfred, the Alpha’s work partner.

"Inside here I saw that there were C4 bombs installed in several corners of the factory pillars. I saw four to five installed, for the time being it hasn’t run at all. But I’m sure it’s remotely controlled. I think that guy Sam has the button," explained Wilfred who was looking at the bombs.

"And he’ll press it at an unexpected moment... How sneaky," Axel said with great annoyance. "Can’t you turn off the bomb?"

The man replied that he wasn’t sure, especially since he didn’t know that the bomb could have a sensor on it that if someone touched it, the bomb would explode instantly.

Axel sighed and asked Wilfred to leave the building because he didn’t want anyone else to get hurt too. "I’ll take care of it myself from here on, you go before something happens," he said and turned off the phone.

"You told Wilfred to come here first?" asked Daren.

"Yes, you think I would come to a place like this with you unprepared? I’m not someone who’s rash like that," he replied while removing his seatbelt.

"But it’s the same with Wilfred, right? He would also be in danger for coming alone to investigate this place." Daren took off his belt and got out of the car after him.

"He’s used to situations like this, so it’s not a problem for him."

They walked into the abandoned factory. There Daren looked around them using the flashlight from his cell phone until they were finally in the center of the empty factory which was much brighter.

"I knew you’d come with him," said a man who walked up to Daren and Axel.

The brown-haired Beta man, who was grinning, stood in front of the two men. He had come with a strong-looking man, an Alpha who had been brought along to block Axel if he ever did anything.

’Turns out he came prepared too, huh? ’Well if that’s what he wants,’ Axel thought as he folded his arms in front of his chest.

"So are you happy that your father is finally dead, hm? I did my best for that," Sam said.

"Should I be thanking you? I don’t think so. I hated my father, but as a child who was once loved by him, this hurts me quite a bit. Did you really enjoy your time killing him?" asked Daren.

Sam grinned again when he heard that, explaining that of course he enjoyed it. Especially Barney’s tortured face when he knocked the man to the floor and burned him alive. He felt like all his burdens had been paid off by doing that.

"In the end he died and I got what I should have had long ago. I don’t care about the mansion, I can build any other house I want with all the inheritance from him. Even run Marabella my own way," he explained triumphantly.

Daren’s blue eyes stared flatly at Sam now, as if he wasn’t happy to see the man feeling happy after what he had done to him all these years.

Betraying their friendship for years, even hurting the people who mattered to him.

"So what was your intention in inviting me here? To listen to your ramblings because now you have no other friends but me, but we’re no longer friends?" the Omega asked in a cold tone.

Daren’s words instantly made the smile on Sam’s face fade, his laughter turning into a face of annoyance at being reminded of something like that. Something he didn’t want to think about.

"Wait... We weren’t friends from the start, right? I only knew Ivan Howard and not Sam Walton. You said he’s dead, right? That means I don’t know the crazy guy in front of me right now," he continued.

"Tch, do you still have the confidence to say that after this? I invited you here for a fair fight, after all."

"Fight... Fairly?"

The Beta man explained that they would be one-on-one, because so far it had always been Sam who had always attacked Daren. Therefore this time he let Daren beat him up too. Whoever managed to survive until the end, he would be the winner.

"Dead or alive, that’s the game we’re going to play. Do you agree with that?"

Hearing that, Axel certainly didn’t agree to it. He knew Daren could have fought Sam and won from him. But he suspected that the man was up to something. He knew that Sam must have prepared a cunning plan.

"I can’t trust someone like you, you’re not trustworthy at all. Ever since I first met you," Axel said with a growl.

Sam, however, didn’t care about that at all.

"I’m not asking you, but Daren. You better shut up or Jonnah will fight you," Sam said, pointing at the Alpha next to him.

Jonnah looked ready to kick Axel’s ass, making him roll his eyes in annoyance at the smug face of the man in front of him.

Daren paused for a moment thinking about his answer, Axel tried to tell him but Daren had already made his decision.

"Alright, I’ll take it. But it’s all done with bare hands. If you do anything beyond that, Axel will stop you," Daren replied.

A wicked grin appeared on Sam’s face, as if he had sensed his victory from the start.

"Good choice. Then let’s start the game."
