Videos of Daren’s actions against several people had spread throughout Zondalian, and people were amazed to see an Omega fighting an Alpha and Beta who had a power level above them.

However, there were some people who didn’t like it. They thought that Daren was fighting in public when he was an actor and a public figure. Why should someone like him show violence in front of people when he could be helping accident victims?

The ones who really disliked this were, of course, Ivan and Barney.

"You... You dare to go against me?! You dare to say that to me?!" Barney snapped at his men while glaring at him with a sharp gaze.

His pheromones intimidated him out, trying to show who was superior between them. But the rebellious man didn’t care.

"Yes I dare, and what are you going to do?! I’m sick of everything you’re saying, I quit!" he said and left his former boss’s office.

"Heh just go! I don’t need a useless man like you!" he retorted.

Seeing the situation, the remaining eight men looked at each other as if they were exchanging thoughts.

"Then we’ll resign too!" they said, making Barney reflexively turn to them.

"As Nao said, we’re also fed up with the way you boss us around and look down on us all the time! That’s why we’re quitting this job instead of you continuing to dehumanize us!" said one of them then the remaining eight men turned to leave the place.

They were tired of being under pressure. Barney who witnessed this was a bit surprised, because he did not expect that his subordinates who had worked for him for many years would now just leave his room.

Everyone he knew had left him, now he really felt alone.

His butler and servants also chose to retreat.

Axel opened the can of soda in his hand and drank it while listening to Daren who looked very happy, even though he had been feeling down lately because of the strange things happening around them.

He knew that surely Barney and Ivan must have watched the video of their failure and were currently plotting to do something more.

Still, somehow his and Daren’s lives would be in danger until those two, Barney and Ivan, were dead and everything would be done.

"Hey!" he called out which made Daren turn his head. "You’re smiling like crazy just from reading all those comments. Didn’t you see your own face in the mirror?"

Hearing that, Daren pouted because of Axel’s comment. He was enjoying the interesting comments from his fans.

"You’re like someone who’s not happy to see other people happy!" he said.

"It’s true," Axel replied.

He climbed the bed and lay down next to his boyfriend. His strong hands pulled his body closer to him. "You’re too busy being happy with that comment on your phone, what about me?"

Daren’s eyes blinked in surprise, he then chuckled and returned his Alpha’s hug. Feeling the warmth of his body and inhaling his strong pheromones calmed him down. He seemed to forget all the comments and enjoyed this moment.

"Damn... Why do I have to accept a mission next month when I still want to be here with you," Axel muttered in annoyance.

"Ahahaha... Don’t be like that, I heard from Wilfed that you’re usually very happy when there’s a new mission. Why is it like that now?"

"I don’t know... It feels like everything isn’t calm right now because of what’s going on around you. I want to hold you tight like this for every night without thinking about all the stupid things that are going to happen tomorrow by those two damn people," he replied as he nuzzled into his Omega’s blonde hair and breathed in the fragrant scent of his shampoo.

His eyes dropped, it was honest that Daren wanted the same thing. He wanted to sleep well again, go to work or vacation in peace like before. A time when he didn’t know about all the rot Ivan was up to.

"But now I have to finish everything. I know he deserves this too because of what that old man did in the past to him. But still, I can’t accept it when he has to hurt people near me too. The same goes for him... I won’t stay silent either..."
