Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 822 Bai Kou’s Rage

Chapter 822: Chapter 822 Bai Kou’s Rage

Bai Kou sat by the window in the small resting lounge on the second floor, reading a book and pushing her hot tea away, tapping her fingertips on the table as she ordered Mr. Dong, "Bring me a cold one."

The always expressionless Mr. Dong said with a stern face, "I just switched to a cold drink."

"That last cup was too cold," Bai Kou said with no awareness that she was being troublesome, "Can’t you use a thermometer? If you can’t handle this simple task, I don’t think you should be a butler anymore."

Mr. Dong walked away with the tea, his face still expressionless.

Bai Kou gave a cold glance at his retreating figure, then turned her head to the little girl squatting in the flowerbed in front, digging the soil with her head sticking up into the sky.

"You, wash your hands clean and cut me two flowers," she ordered.

Xiao Yuan turned her head, immediately dropped her tools, ran to wash her hands, and, after cleaning up, picked a few large blooming roses from the garden. She wrapped them in paper and brought them upstairs, then fetched a vase and filled a pitcher with water.

"What are you staring at me for?" Bai Kou asked while she was trimming the flower stems.

Xiao Yuan blushed, "Sister, you’re really pretty."

Bai Kou glanced at her, "I don’t like people who stare at me."

Xiao Yuan immediately lowered her head, only to hear Bai Kou say again, "Neither do I like people who talk too much."

The little girl clamped her mouth shut and stood there, somewhat afraid, but after a while, realizing that Bai Kou was ignoring her and was about to sneak away, she heard her say, "Call over the other one."

Xiao Yuan hurried off, and the Girl in the painting, her face grim, came into the lounge from hiding in the room, standing with her head hanging down just like Xiao Yuan.

"Did you see the leaves that fell in the garden?" Bai Kou didn’t spare her a glance, "The castle’s butler is useless, I hope you are of some use. Go clean inside and outside the castle, don’t leave half a spider web."

The Girl in the painting was familiar with housework, she left casually with her cleaning tools, and Xiao Yuan went back to digging in the garden.

Both were very enthusiastic and more meticulous than Mr. Dong, the actual controller of the castle, even wanting to wipe every crack in the floor.

By the time Xu Huo arrived, he saw them both bustling about in the garden.

"Teacher!" Xiao Yuan, spotting him, immediately dropped what she was doing and ran over, standing in front of him with restrained joy.

The Girl in the painting was different; she ran over and threw herself at him. Xu Huo fended her off, pressing his hand against her forehead and looked upstairs, only to see a black-haired woman sitting by the window, casually playing with the flower in her hand.

Even though her style had changed, one could tell who she was by her movements.

The Girl in the painting knew Yan Jiayu, both quite forward, and got along very warmly as they huddled together. Xu Huo introduced her to Xiao Yuan.

"I heard about you from Xu Huo in the car," Yan Jiayu poked at the skyward tufts on her head, "Why do you have so many little braids?"

Xiao Yuan had a shaggy haircut, and on her first day, Mr. Dong intended to call a hairdresser to deal with it, but recently, the Girl in the painting, who was into handicrafts, volunteered to cut it and ended up ruining the hair completely. To cover up her "crime," she designed this hairstyle that was independent of beauty or ugliness—all you could see from a distance was Xiao Yuan looking like she had a head full of mushrooms.

Xiao Yuan did not mind; on the contrary, she happily touched it, "Xiao Chun, sister, did it for me."

Yan Jiayu gave the Girl in the painting a thumbs up.

Xu Huo called them to come inside, but the Girl in the painting looked warily upstairs.

"It’s okay, we can hire domestic help at home," Xu Huo said.

As always, Mr. Dong stood at the door, prepared a towel, and a pot of hot tea for him.

Yan Jiayu entered the room and glanced around before saying, "You’re really something, to have such a big house!"

"Pick any room you like upstairs," Xu Huo instructed Mr. Dong to arrange a servant to show her around.

The Girl in the painting followed along, while Xiao Yuan stayed where she was, not wanting to go. Xu Huo smiled, "Go have fun."

Only Mr. Dong was left in the living room. Xu Huo took a sip of tea before asking, "Why has she come again?"

Mr. Dong, whose face was usually pleasant, suddenly looked displeased, "I told her that the master wasn’t home and we couldn’t entertain her, but she insisted on staying."

Being weaker was such a frustration.

Unfortunately, Xu Huo couldn’t defeat Bai Kou either.

And judging by the situation, the Girl in the painting had also been dealt with.

"It hasn’t been long since we last met, yet I didn’t expect you to have improved so much." Bai Kou came downstairs, her demeanor still somewhat amicable, "He Pu didn’t pick you for nothing."

She wasn’t as courteous with Mr. Dong, "Where’s my tea?"

Mr. Dong bowed slightly to Xu Huo and then turned to head for the kitchen.

"You seem to be quite aggravated. Did you fail to catch any of the Guile Sound Knights?" Xu Huo invited her to sit and poured her a glass of iced tea, "Have some cold tea to calm down."

"With the game world being so vast, it’s not easy to hide." Bai Kou indeed brought emotions with her, but it wasn’t entirely due to the Guile Sound Knights. She sized up Xu Huo, "Open your Spiritual World and let me take a look."

Xu Huo remained calm, "Let’s talk about that in a couple of days, I would like to rest a bit."

Seeing that she just needed to vent, he suggested, "If you really can’t hold back, you might as well find Black Epaulette to hassle. They’re free anyway."

Bai Kou narrowed her eyes slightly and after a moment said, "I plan to stay here for a while."

"Suit yourself." Xu Huo checked the time, ready to go upstairs to freshen up. But as he turned, the staircase in front of him infinitely stretched away.

Turning back to look at the woman sitting beside him, "The Eye of Platinum doesn’t have anyone to keep you company?"

Bai Kou’s anger visibly swelled, and with a smack of her hand in the air, the floor of the castle immediately revealed a mouthed sentence—more precisely, a giant metal biting chain that opened up like a zipper from the middle, transporting her and Xu Huo, still in the living room, through glass into a pure black space.

Bai Kou still sat on the sofa; of all the items in the castle, only this sofa had made it in. Her gaze was icy as she looked at Xu Huo, as if considering how to kill him.

Xu Huo took a seat as well, and when he leaned forward, a chair appeared behind him—however, this was his Prop.

Facing each other, he said to Bai Kou, "Is it really this castle that you want?"

Bai Kou didn’t speak, so he continued, "You’ve been to District 001, didn’t find anything Fan Xiao left behind?"

"You’re quite perceptive." Bai Kou rested her hand against her forehead, "I’ve been to District 001. That old man didn’t leave any loopholes. I’ve been adventuring with him since I was young, and I didn’t expect him to pull this trick on me."

Xu Huo’s expression paused slightly, "You thought that with your relationship with him, you should be able to easily find whatever he hid, to the point where you didn’t even ask me for the key, only to realize you were wrong. What do you think about that?"

Bai Kou raised her eyebrow, "The trick of usurping the host’s role doesn’t work on me."

Xu Huo smiled, "Based on your relationship, it would be easy for him to avoid you. While you understand him, he also understands you."

That was exactly why Bai Kou was so angry.
