Sure enough, the whole gallery taken into account, the highest chance of escape was still at the giant wax figure by the entrance, which had now risen to 65%.

Bai Wenxian must have known that the giant wax figure was the exit of the Wax Figure Gallery, so when he found out the gallery had returned underground and the chance of escaping through the entrance had decreased, he attacked the wax figures in a fit of rage.

No Strange Tale characters appeared in the Wax Figure Gallery that had returned to the surface, but the melting of the wax on the walls did not stop, which meant they were still trapped inside the gallery without a way out.

Xu Ruosi and Long Aotian tried hitting the walls of the gallery separately and, after failing, regrouped to analyze how to get out.

"Could it be that we have to wait until tomorrow during the day?" Long Aotian said.

Xu Ruosi glanced at the time, "It’s not even midnight yet, to verify that we have to survive until then."

"What does that mean? We can’t leave even after solving the mystery of the disappearances?" Long Aotian took out a prop, ready to force his way through.

Xu Huo, seeing that the probability on "Escaping from Death" had risen back up to 80%, said, "Didn’t you see the wax has stopped melting? The Wax Figure Gallery is currently being rebuilt, we might really have to wait until tomorrow morning to get out."

The other three found his calmness puzzling, but since the wax figures didn’t come to the front hall, they could pretend they hadn’t heard anything. After all, it would all be clear by morning.

Had the Wax Figure Gallery not been a large prop, Xu Huo might have gone back to check. If it was a prop, unless they destroyed it, killing the wax figures was pointless.

It was uncertain whether the gallery counted as an unclaimed prop.

The four of them made it to dawn, and suddenly all sounds from the Wax Figure Gallery disappeared. The wax attached to the front door quickly melted to the ground, revealing the door once again.

Jie Ling and the others immediately went to check if the door could be opened and, upon confirmation, their faces lit up with joy. They turned back and called Xu Huo to leave.

As Xu Huo stepped out, his gaze inadvertently drifted toward the Beheaded Cemetery. There, one tall and two short, three rigid shadows silently sprinted away, soon disappearing into the hazy dawn light.

Xu Ruosi noticed his gaze and looked in the same direction but saw nothing.

Upon exiting the Wax Figure Gallery, Xu Huo said, "I wonder how the other players are doing."

If so much could happen in what was thought to be a regular amusement wax gallery, it didn’t take much to guess that the rest of the places were hardly any better off.

Indeed, by the time they reached the crossroads, only half of the players had made it back.

Xu Huo’s party was short of Bai Wenxian, leaving four remaining.

The long-haired female player’s group had lost two, leaving just two.
