The group became busy once again, and by the time they finished, Tiandu was approaching dark, but the streets were bright with lights. Shi Youzhi invited his squad members to dinner, and everyone went to the bustling market together.

"Eat up," Shi Youzhi said, "Consider this a reward for everyone’s hard work. What drinks would you like?"

Zone 011 offers two kinds of alcohol, one is brewed using traditional methods like grain liquor, and the other is processed with potions, leaving no hangover or discomfort, making it a popular option for pleasurable spirits, especially among ladies.

Cai Xiangxiang and Wan Tingfang both chose the second type, while She Ping and his companions went for the former, seemingly because Shi Youzhi didn’t quite favor alcohol processed with potions.

"Didn’t the squad leader come from other Wormhole Points?" Wan Tingfang asked with confusion, "Beverages like these should have become widespread much earlier, right? I’ve seen that some sectors don’t even offer grain alcohol anymore."

"Good stuff is liked everywhere," Shi Youzhi commented after taking a sip, "In my hometown, this is still considered a luxury item."

"What’s your hometown like, squad leader?" Wan Tingfang inquired curiously, "Like Zone 011?"

"You’ll find out in time, let’s eat," Shi Youzhi brushed off the question with a hearty laugh.

The remainder of their time passed pleasantly. They didn’t discuss much else, with Wan Tingfang briefing Xu Huo on the mission details he had missed, and the other members occasionally chiming in to give him insights into handling various sudden incidents on the orbital tracks.

However, squads like Shi Youzhi’s mainly focused on routine maintenance and sometimes cleanup duties. In case of major incidents, other departments would intervene.

All things considered, working for the Orbital Supply Department wasn’t particularly hazardous.

After the meal, when they split up, Wan Tingfang hopped onto Xu Huo’s ride, half-drunk and half-sober, and said, "I bet there’s something fishy with these potions, otherwise our squad leader and the others wouldn’t avoid the processed alcohol."

Xu Huo glanced at her and said, "Potions themselves might not be safe, including the Evolution Potion."

This was easy to notice at the beginning of a player’s evolution, but once they passed the initial screening, most players managed to acquire some potions. Those who couldn’t wouldn’t survive many instances, and those who did survive would not likely run out of potions later on. To enhance their abilities, they would only increase the dosage and frequency with which they used the potions, becoming insensitive to any side effects of the Evolution Potion.

As long as they continued taking the Evolution Potion in a regular dose, there wouldn’t be much of a problem, though.

"Anyway, it’s not like we’re short on Evolution Potions," Wan Tingfang said, scratching her head, "Perhaps this situation will improve in the future."

"Get some rest early," Xu Huo didn’t say much more, aware that the aftereffects of evolution could not be completely eradicated by potions, a fact that become clear from the cases of V Fan Xiao and Lawrence Lee.

After parting ways, Xu Huo headed straight back to the castle, only to find that he had a guest waiting for him despite the late hour.

"Dr. Deng," he greeted with a smile.

Dr. Deng was a medical expert Xu Huo had brought back from the Deep Blue Laboratory, a fanatic admirer of Dr. Wu who had developed the Perfect Evolution Potion and was adept at disguise. He would pretend to "unintentionally" leak information, luring players into taking him hostage to gain direct access to Dr. Wu’s data.

The reason he followed Xu Huo was to seek new targets. On their way to Zone 011, he had even "hinted" at Lawrence Lee, who unfortunately didn’t respond to his "flirtation."

Upon arriving at Zone 011, Dr. Deng quickly found employment with Rong Xin, showcasing the fact that talent can find good job prospects anywhere.

"Did you need something?"
