No sooner had the voice faded than a metallic sound of something falling to the ground came from nearby. Everyone turned around to see a middle-aged man frantically picking up what looked like a handle from the ground, speaking incoherently, "I didn’t know it would break... I just carelessly touched it..."

Brother Tie and the others cursed under their breath and approached the spot cautiously while keeping a certain distance. Only after confirming that it was merely a decorative piece on the iron box did they explode in anger, "Haven’t you ever watched a horror movie? The noises grew louder and louder until everyone had squeezed back in front of the elevator. By then, more than one part of the iron boxes was bulging, as if something was pounding from inside, causing multiple protrusions on the iron boxes!

In just a few minutes, the entire floor was echoing with this noise. As time went on, the thudding sounds became louder and more frequent.

"There can’t be monsters inside, can there?!" Jiang Yihua hid behind Da Zhi, her eyes fixated on the iron boxes nearby.

"It would be better if it were a monster," Dai Wenqian said. "A monster kept in a tank isn’t scary; what’s frightening is if it’s an alien species of human."

However, before she could finish speaking, an iron box a few meters away was punched through, and along with the spurt of fetid liquid, a snow-white arm reached out from the inside!

That white arm moved around, its sharp nails grasping the edge of the hole, slowly tearing the iron box open.

A great deal of liquid poured out, followed by a naked woman tumbling out from inside.

She lay face down on the ground, her long black hair covering most of her back, and her lower body, which was squirming, turned out to be a fish tail shimmering with variegated colors!

The mermaid was flung out, and when her palms, arms, and tail touched the paper, the surface curled up and stuck to her body. She couldn’t prop herself up on her tail or palms without falling back down again.

After falling face down several times in succession, the mermaid seemed to give up and lay on the ground, sobbing loudly.

"Are we being too harsh? She can’t even walk." someone said.

The players remained silent. Mermaids were only depicted as positive figures in children’s literature.

"Look up," Xu Huo ordered from a distance of two or three meters to the person on the ground, "Otherwise, I’ll set a fire. Those fish scales of yours must look very pretty when they burn."

The mermaid lay on the ground without moving, still crying.
