Journey to the West: I have Nine Golden Crows Inside Me
Chapter 107 - 107 107 Realization

107: Chapter 107: Realization 107: Chapter 107: Realization At this time, atop Spiritual Mountain, looking at the approaching Jiang Chen and his companion, a look of confusion filled the eyes of the Buddha.

He could not understand the purpose of their visit.

Since the matter had already been concluded, why would the Jiang Family still come to Spiritual Mountain?

Vaguely, a sense of foreboding arose in the Buddha’s heart, but he did not know where this feeling came from.

For a moment, the Buddha furrowed his brow.

He disliked the feeling of not being in control.

The tactics of Emperor Fuxi were too brilliant.

Even the Buddha, with all his power, could not see through them.

While the Buddha was lost in thought, Jiang Chen and his companion had already entered the Great Thunderclap Temple and showed respect, saying, “Jiang Chen (Jiang Xuan) of the human race, pays respects to the Buddha.”

Jolted back to consciousness, the Buddha suppressed his confusion and asked with a smile, “What brings you two here?”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Chen glanced at Jiang Xuan but did not speak.

It was clear there was no room for him to say anything in this setting.

He was merely a tool, exploited by the Jiang family to scheme against the Buddhists.

Thus, he was content to be a tool, knowing he would not miss out on any benefits.

The tool, Jiang Chen, Limited Edition jpg.

Standing before the Buddha, Jiang Xuan was somewhat nervous.

He first mentally prepared his words, ensuring there was no mistake before speaking humbly:

“Buddha, I am here to reclaim our great treasure of the Jiang family, the Sun God Staff.”

“Hmmm?” Upon hearing this, the Buddha raised his eyebrows in confusion and asked, “Your family’s treasure is lost, why come to my Spiritual Mountain?

Surely it wasn’t taken by one of my Buddhist monks?”

Such were his words, but the Buddha’s sense of dread intensified.

Surely the Buddhists hadn’t taken the treasure of the Jiang family and been found out?

Axieties in his heart, the Buddha hurriedly calculated silently.

However, his calculations yielded nothing, showing normality.

Jiang Xuan was talking nonsense.

But how is that possible?

Without clear evidence, why would the Jiang family dare to come to Spiritual Mountain?

Jiang Xuan carefully looked at the Buddha’s expression.

Seeing only confusion and not anger, he cautiously selected his words and continued speaking:

“According to the information our family has gathered, our great treasure, the Sun God Staff, was indeed ‘picked up’ by a Buddhist Master.”

When speaking the word “picked up”, Jiang Xuan emphasized deliberately.

Although he did not explicitly say it, his meaning was clear.

A Post-heaven Merit Treasure wouldn’t just be ‘picked up’ easily.

Jiang Xuan was careful not to say the word “stolen”, mindful of the Buddha’s dignity.

All the people present were smart and clearly understood Jiang Xuan’s words.

Once this was clear, they glanced around, wondering which one amongst them was so audacious as to steal the treasure from the Jiang family.

Of course, theft in itself was problematic, but not a major issue.

The real problem lies in being discovered and having people show up at your door to confront you.

This was a serious matter, and it was the face of the entire Buddhist assembly at stake.

Anyone so incompetent deserved severe punishment.

Those who lacked the skill shouldn’t attempt to steal, as it only embarrassed Buddhism and made them a laughingstock.

No one doubted Jiang Xuan’s words because there was no point.

To slander Buddhism, even a powerful family like the Jiangs, would have to pay a heavy price.

After a long silence, the Buddha asked softly: “Do you have proof of what you say?”

As he spoke, the Buddha’s powerful consciousness swept through the entire Spiritual Mountain.

He was searching for the Sun God Staff and would immediately destroy it upon discovery.

With the Buddha’s wisdom, it was impossible for him not to recognize that Buddhism was being schemed against.

Otherwise, why couldn’t he calculate the course of this matter?

Knowing that he was being manipulated, the Buddha’s first impulse was to find a way to break free from this situation.

And destroying the Sun God Staff was the only solution he could think of.

As long as he found and destroyed the Sun God Staff before these two could, and annihilated every trace of it, then Buddhism could deny all knowledge of the matter.

The Buddha could even accuse the Jiang family of slandering Buddhism.

Then the tables would be turned, it wouldn’t be the Jiang family seeking trouble from Buddhism but the other way round.

This time, the Buddha would let outsiders know that Buddhism, which had stood strong for countless eons in the Prehistoric World, wasn’t easily manipulated.

Jiang Xuan was oblivious to the Buddha’s thoughts.

Seeing the Buddha asking, he quickly relayed the details told to him by Jiang Hao to the Buddha: “Some days ago, a demon monkey wreaked havoc in the Underworld, causing the ghosts of the Netherworld to pour out.”

“My descendant, fearing that the wicked ghosts would disturb the human world, placed the Sun God Staff at the passage from the Netherworld to the Human world, to block the wicked ghosts.”

“This was a good deed, my descendant even hoped to accumulate some merit through this.

But to our surprise, just when it was about to end, the Sunlight Bodhisattva passed by and ‘picked up’ the Sun God Staff, this…”

At this point, Jiang Xuan hesitated, not continuing his speech.

Instead, he bowed deeply towards the Buddha, pleading, “I request the Buddha to help me, ordering the Sunlight Bodhisattva to return the Sun God Staff to the Jiang family.”

At Jiang Xuan’s side, Jiang Chen seeing this behavior, also bowed and said: “Buddha is merciful, please help me.”

Upon the utterance of these words, the situation became clearer, all details of the matter revealed in the Buddha’s mind, making him understand the complete story.

In an instant, rage surged in the Buddha’s heart.

The Jiang family was too overbearing!

Plotting against others in such a way was even worse than entrapment!

Despite his internal outrage, the Buddha didn’t let it show on his face.

Instead, he casually said, “Oh?

If this is the case, would the Sunlight Bodhisattva do such a thing?”

Seeing the Buddha doubtful, Jiang Xuan explained, “If Buddha doesn’t believe me, you can summon the Sunlight Bodhisattva and ask him.”

“Hmm!” The Buddha nodded and ordered, “Golden Cicada, go invite your Sunlight Uncle.”

As they spoke, under the radar, the Buddha’s consciousness surged out, rushing towards the Taoist Field of the Sunlight Bodhisattva.

Meanwhile, the Sunlight Bodhisattva also noticed something amiss.

The innate Fusang tree in front of him actually had an owner.

An owner…

Wasn’t this supposed to be a relic left over from the end of the great war between the witches and monsters?

How could it have an owner?

Realizing something was amiss, the Sunlight Bodhisattva immediately started to calculate.

Then, all the details he needed emerged in his mind.

“Jiang Hao!”

“Puff…”

Upon realizing the ins and outs of the situation, the Sunlight Bodhisattva became furious, spitting out blood, infuriated with heartache.

Still, being a man of deep thoughts, a mouthful of fresh blood helped him calm down, knowing this is not the time for anger.

At this moment,

The most important thing was to think of a solution.
