Chapter 163: Up or Down?

Chapter 163: Up or Down?

Chris decided to ask what he had been a bit curious to know. He kind of suspected the answer, but he needed to be sure.

"Hypothetically..." he began, his voice a low murmur, his gaze locked on Sky’s.

"Not a serious question, so don’t overreact." He paused, savoring the moment. "Assuming you’ve ever, at some point, imagined us in this kind of... incriminating position..."

Sky’s eyes narrowed, his breath catching in his throat.

"Or let’s say you don’t imagine it, but the image just flashes by quickly..." he was trying really hard, wasn’t he?

Chris hesitated before he asked the main question. "Do you think this is the position that would come to mind? You... beneath me?"

He hadn’t exactly needed much words—Sky’s reaction said it all. The way his breath caught, the way his lashes flickered as he turned away, the way that pretty blush crept across his cheeks like he’d been caught red-handed.

Chris let his fingers trace the edge of Sky’s jaw, his touch barely there, just enough to make Sky tense under him. So responsive. It was intoxicating.

"Interesting," Chris murmured, voice still thick with sleep but now laced with something else—something that made Sky’s throat bob as he swallowed.

Sky huffed, forcing his voice to stay steady. "You’re so annoying."

"That’s not an answer." Chris said, turning Sky’s face so he would keep eye contact with him.

He imagined—no—knew Sky had never been with a guy before. So he was curious to know where Sky imagined himself. Up. Or down.

Sky clenched the sheets beneath him, trying to keep his gaze anywhere else but at Chris. However, it was impossible. Chris was determined to make him look at him. There was also nowhere to run—not when Chris was still on top of him, still pinning him down with nothing but his weight and that lazy but determined look in his eyes.

Chris dipped his head slightly, his breath ghosting over Sky’s cheek. "So... is it like this?" he asked again, his tone teasing, but there was a challenge in his eyes, a heat that wasn’t entirely playful.

Chris saw it in his eyes. Felt it in whatever Sky had between his legs, which was beginning to poke him too.

And fuck, if that wasn’t interesting.

He traced his fingers lightly down Sky’s arm, watching as Sky clenched his jaw even tighter. "That’s what messes with you, huh? The idea of me..." He leaned down, lips close to Sky’s ear, his voice barely a whisper. "...pinning you down."

Chris had once again did not expect it. It had happened so fast. Just like that night.

Chris stared up at him, momentarily speechless.

The shift had been so quick, so effortless—one second, Sky was beneath him, flustered and on the verge of combusting, and the next, he was the one pinned.

Sky had grabbed him, flipped him over. He tumbled on the bed before he knew what was happening and Sky was hovering above him.

He was... stunned.

And Sky... Sky looked different like this. His flushed cheeks didn’t make him look embarrassed anymore. They made him look heated. Like something inside him had snapped.

Chris swallowed, his pulse spiking in a way he definitely wasn’t prepared for.

Sky hovered over him, his body pressing down just enough to remind Chris of what had just happened—of how easily Sky had turned the tables.

Chris let out a breathy chuckle, but there was a new edge to it. "Huh. So... this is how you see it." his voice wavered.

Sky didn’t move, didn’t waver. He just looked at him—really looked at him—his hands braced on either side of Chris’s head, his knee between Chris’s legs, keeping him caged in.

And fuck, if that didn’t do something to Chris.

Sky’s voice was quiet, but firm. "Like this."

What the actual f—

Well, wasn’t this interesting?

Chris licked his lips, his grin slow, teasing—his last attempt at control. "Too bad. I imagined the opposite."

Sky’s fingers twitched against the sheets. His gaze dropped—just for a second—to Chris’s lips.

Chris saw it. Felt it in the thick, charged air between them.

Then, instead of answering immediately, Sky grabbed his wrists and actually pinned them down.

Chris sucked in a breath.

Oh.

Oh.

"That’s too bad for you, then." Sky said quietly.

Chris’s breath hitched.

What the hell?

Did that imply what he thought it implied?

Sky’s grip was firm, unyielding, his fingers wrapped around Chris’s wrists like he knew exactly what he was doing. And hell, maybe he did. Maybe all that hesitation, all those flustered reactions—maybe they had only been because he hadn’t decided what to do with the way he felt. But now?

Now, Sky looked like someone who had made a decision.

Chris swallowed hard, his pulse thrumming in his ears. He didn’t know why this was so damn intoxicating—the shift in control, the weight of Sky’s body pressing down on him, the sharp look in his eyes. Maybe it was the fact that it was very rare to see Sky like this.

Or maybe it was because a part of him wanted to see Sky like this.

"Work on your imagination and flip the roles, baby boy. Don’t be delusional." Chris said to him.

Sky’s lips parted like he was about to say something in retort.

And then—

A sharp knock on the door.

Both of them froze.

"Sky?" His mother’s voice rang through the wood, clear and way too close. "You came home?"

Chris swore under his breath. Sky’s eyes went wide, his entire body locking up. Then, with a speed that almost gave Chris whiplash, Sky scrambled off him, practically launching himself to the other side of the bed and almost falling off.

Chris barely stifled a laugh. Coward.

Sky shot him a glare, face burning.

The door handle twisted. "Why did you lock your door? Are you okay in there?"

Meanwhile, Sky was panicking.

"I’m... coming." He said and then his sharp gaze looked at Chris as though wondering why he was looking unbothered.

The knock came on the door again. Sky looked between the door and the bed before he quickly threw the covers over Chris.

"Hide and do not say a word." Sky said before he hurried to open the door.
