Chapter 144: The obsession reveal (2)
Sky’s jaw clenched, and his grip on Collins’ shirt tightened for a moment before he let go, stepping back. He exhaled shakily, his hands trembling at his sides. Then, with his eyes fixed on his friend, he gave a small, almost imperceptible nod.
As if he was begging them to only accept that and shut the fuck up.
"What the fuck?" Collins blurted, his voice a mixture of anger and disbelief. "You’re not even denying it? You’re just going to stand there and admit it like it’s nothing?"
"Collins, enough!" Henry barked, his voice sharp as he placed himself between the two.
But Noel’s wide eyes stayed locked on Sky. His voice came out quiet and stunned. "Sky, we’re... we’re going to talk about this later. But right now—" He turned to Collins, his expression shifting into something darker.
"How the hell do you know all this, Collins? How did you know about the party, about him calling Chris? And why the hell have you been acting so... creepy?"
Collins flinched at the accusation but quickly straightened, his anger flaring again. "What are you trying to say?"
Noel raised an eyebrow, his tone biting. "I’m asking if you’re in love with Sky."
The room fell silent, the weight of the question pressing down on everyone like a heavy stone.
Sky’s head snapped toward Noel, his expression darkening in an instant. He stepped forward, his voice low and threatening. "If he says yes, I swear, I’ll kill him."
Collins’ face twisted with fury, his voice rising as he snapped, "I am so disappointed in you, Sato."
Wow.
That stunned them.
"If you wanted to experiment with being with a guy, Sato, why didn’t you just make out with Henry and get it over with?"
Henry’s head whipped around, his expression incredulous. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" he exploded, stepping toward Collins as if ready to fight.
"Pretty sure you’d prefer if Sato made out with you, Collins." Noel’s voice was sharp, the sarcasm laced with accusation.
Sky barely heard them. His attention was locked on Collins, his chest heaving as he took a step forward. With one quick, angry motion, he shoved Henry and Noel aside and grabbed Collins by the collar with one hand.
"Noel asked you a question. How the hell do you know all this?" Sky growled, his voice low and dangerous. His grip tightened, his knuckles white as he yanked Collins closer. "Have you been stalking me?"
The tension in the room shifted, thickening until it was suffocating. The chaos suddenly froze, as if the air had been sucked out of the space.
Noel’s eyes widened, and a sharp gasp escaped his lips. Sky’s own breath hitched as his mind worked to piece everything together, his gaze narrowing on Collins’ paling face.
"You..." Sky breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. His eyes widened in realization, and the words fell from his lips like an accusation, heavy and damning. "You were the stalker."
It was like a bomb had dropped.
The room fell completely silent, the weight of Sky’s words pressing down on everyone like a winter blanket in the hot summer.
"The stalker who threatened Chris," Sky continued, his voice rising. "The one who sent those photos, those messages... It was you."
Collins swallowed hard, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he struggled to find his voice. For a second, his lips parted, but no words came out.
Sky let out a low growl, his fury finally boiling over as he raised his fist and threw the first blow. But before he could land the second, Henry and Noel lunged forward, grabbing his arms and holding him back.
"Let me go!" Sky roared, his voice raw with rage as he struggled against their grip.
Collins took the opportunity to break free, stumbling backward and bolting for the door. His footsteps echoed in the tense silence, fading as he disappeared down the hall.
Sky shoved Noel and Henry away, breathing heavily, his hands clenched into fists. His eyes burned with betrayal and fury as they landed on Henry.
"You knew, didn’t you?" Sky demanded, his voice sharp and accusing. He took a step forward, his glare pinning Henry in place. "You’ve been hinting at stuff lately—chastising him, knowing the password to his phone. You knew."
Henry flinched under Sky’s glare, his mouth opening and closing as he struggled to find the words. "I swear, I didn’t mean to—"
"You knew!" Sky repeated, his voice breaking with anger.
"It was an accident!" Henry finally blurted out. "I—I saw some stuff when I visited his room unannounced a few days ago. I didn’t mean to, I swear! I told him to come clean, to tell you everything, but he swore he’d do it himself. I just..." He trailed off, his voice small and unsure.
Sky stared at him for a long moment, his expression a mix of fury and disbelief. Finally, he let out a shaky breath and turned away.
"I need to clear my head," he muttered, his voice tight, before walking toward the door.
"Sky, wait!" Henry called, stepping forward as if to follow him, but Noel grabbed his arm, holding him back.
"No," Noel said, his voice firm but laced with frustration. His gaze darted between Henry and the door Sky had just disappeared through. "Let him go."
Henry shook him off, his eyes flashing. "Do you even understand how messed up this is?!"
Noel exhaled heavily, raking a hand through his hair. "Do I understand? Fuck, yeah!" He looked between Henry and the empty doorway, his tone dripping with exasperation. "Collins is obsessed with Sky, and Sky is obsessed with Chris? And somehow I’m the last person to figure it all out?"
Henry said nothing, his lips pressed into a thin line as the weight of the situation settled over them.
And that was how Collins found his way to Chris room.
And then Sky joined.
And then Chris kissed Sky.
And then Shy shoved him away before showing him the photo with the girl at the Library.
"Who the fuck is this witch?"
