It's Just A Picture (BL)
Chapter 38: Do you know what happened here?

Chapter 38: Do you know what happened here?

I arrived at the company and luckily, everyone treated me normally. They didn’t act awkward or uncomfortable around me and cooperated like they did on the first day I arrived.

Thank goodness.

The shoot went well. I got to see the twins in so many different versions of themselves and secretly drool.

Seriously, who was in charge of picking the themes? My boys look so hot and sexy that no one will see the real innocent them.

Well, hot and sexy was nice too. They totally killed the look. But if this goes on, I’m going to risk having a nosebleed during the shoot.

"Oh my God, you’ve got a nosebleed. Are you okay?"

Well, it wasn’t just me. The ladies in the crew were having a hard time looking away from the masterpiece in front of them.

’I’m going to really have it tough when editing the pictures.’ I thought to myself.

"Yeah, let’s take five." Taiha announced. "You guys should get your lunch and get back here quickly. We still have a lot on our hands."

His gaze traveled and fell on me. As soon as he saw me, behind the printers and computers, he approached.

"Hey, the shoot was great, right?" He asked and I nodded.

He took a few of the printed pictures and shook his head.

"Even without the edits done, it still looks great. You’re a natural, boy." He said and started patting my back pretty roughly. "I’m sure the edited stuff is going to come out in gold."

"Thank you, sir."

"I told you to call me Hyung."

"Thank you, Hyung-nim." I said and he shook his head.

"Well, let’s give it time. You should get lunch too. Don’t work your body on an empty stomach."

"I’m not yet hungry but I’ll have a cup of coffee soon." I said and turned to face the screen in front of me.

I would probably have to work on the edits in my office. My... Ah, that’s right. My office was where it all went down.

’Take a deep breath. It’s not like someone’s going to attack me in my office. It’s alright now.’

I told myself, picked up the things I needed, and headed to my office.

I opened the door and what I saw surprised me. The office that looked somewhat empty was filled with plants. The big vase next to the sofa had a big flower springing out of it, next to the window was another flower pot that came from God knows where.

On the desk was a smaller flower pot with a flower bunch in it.

There were only three additions to the office but these few things made it look wholesome.

Wait, did I even come to the right office to begin with?

"Uh, excuse me," I called a passing crew member. "Sorry to bother you but... Do you know what happened here?" I asked and realized I asked too vaguely.

What if he talked about the incident that happened with Sungho instead of the flowers? What if...?

"You must be referring to the flowers." He said, looking relaxed about it. "The twins suddenly ordered a lot of flowers. They were probably planning to flood the place with the flowers but the director talked them out of it. So instead, they left these few. It’s pretty sweet." He concluded and turned to be on his way. "They probably wanted to cheer you up after what happened yesterday so cheer up."

I watched him leave and gazed into the office once more. To think something like that happened after I left.

It was indeed sweet.

I felt my cheeks burn in a light blush and hurried to get on with my work. There was no time to be dwelling on sweet feelings.

I wanted to focus but my beating heart just wouldn’t let me be.

I rested my head on the desk, thinking. The boys were too sweet and caring and... I caressed the corner of the flower pot on the desk.

They remembered how much I liked flowers and that’s why they wanted to flood the entire place with it.

I bowed my head.

"Thank you." I muttered and at that same moment, I heard a knock from the door, causing me to raise my head. "Come in."

The door opened and a girl walked in.

She looked familiar.

"Uh, can I help you?" I asked, hoping the blush on my cheek had died down.

"Hello, director. I am Hyuk Yaeran." She introduced herself. "I’m also Seojin Oppa’s assistant."

’Seojin oppa?’

I was more hung up on the fact that she called Seojin Oppa than the fact that she was his assistant. Ugh, what was wrong with me? She was just an assistant and surely any girl could call the twins ’Oppa’. It doesn’t matter who.

"Uh, yes. Is there something you need? Does Seojin need anything?" I asked, a bit too readily.

"Oh, not at all." She said. "I just came to give you this on Seojin Oppa’s request."

I looked at her hand. It looked like a lunch box. But even when I knew what it was, I still went ahead to ask,

"What’s that?"

"It’s a lunch box." She said but I shook my head.

"Sorry. It obviously is. I meant to ask, why? Why did he ask you to give me this?" I asked and she paused, tilting her head in thought.

"I didn’t ask but if you want, I can go and ask for you." She said, and she looked happy to do it but I declined.

"It’s alright." I said. "Thank you. I’ll thank them myself later."

"Alright, I’ll be off."

I watched her leave and just as she walked through the door, my phone beeped.

It was a text from Seojin.

"You shouldn’t work on an empty stomach, Hyung. Make sure to eat." That was all it said, ending with a smiling emoji.

I looked at the lunch box feeling touched.

I texted back.

"I received what you sent. Thank you."

Well, texting was different from talking to them directly so I didn’t have a problem doing that.

But... Was it okay to receive such favors when I already made up my mind to avoid them?

Well, he was the one doing it on his own accord, just like they offered to buy me food in Italy.

It’s not a favor if it’s what the other person enjoys doing, right? I’ll just enjoy it as it comes.
