Chapter 281: Should we just get rid of her?
Before Dongwoo walked out of his apartment, Seojun walked out of his apartment and clicked his tongue angrily.
He didn’t even bother to close the door properly, and though it was an electric door that could close on its own, it wouldn’t close if there was an obstruction, like a show, for example.
He saw it but was too pissed to kick the shoe away and tuck his hands in his pocket.
Everything was pissing him off and the fact that they could not get any effective results to what they were hoping to gain was even more infuriating.
He glanced at Dongwoo’s door and was more than glad he was asleep.
They got back over two hours ago but it wasn’t because they were done with work but because of what was suddenly circulating on the internet.
They had to fix it, but before that, they needed to make sure Dongwoo did not take a peek at the internet.
So, they walked in while he was still sleeping and took his phone.
They knew Dongwoo hardly looked through the internet on his laptop. He wasn’t that concerned with entertainment news and only ever glimpsed at it when it was something that involved either the twins, himself, or their company.
But he wasn’t interested in the news concerning Wailers as a whole so his chances of randomly checking the internet through his laptop were low.
Yet... They couldn’t take chances so they disconnected his wifi and planned to connect it back once it was all settled, hoping Dongwoo slept for far longer.
They knew taking his phone would lead to him coming to look for the phone in their apartment but they planned to finish everything before he woke up.
Seojun looked away from the door and gritted his teeth.
The internet was on fire with Dongwoo’s face and it was all Song Haijin’s doing.
Song Haijin. Song Haijin... That girl was crossing the line and clearly stating her intentions to get on their bad side.
He wanted to get a few puffs of his cigarette to calm himself, but he couldn’t do that with foreign people in his house, so he decided to go down where no one would see him.
But just when he was about to get in the elevator, he felt the pack of cigarettes in his pocket but did not feel his lighter. He realized he didn’t carry his lighter and cussed out.
"Dammit! Can things get any worse?" He thought and turned to head back to the apartment.
He was thinking deeply.
If they managed to fix this issue without Dongwoo finding out, what would be the next course of action?
Because there was no way Song Haijin would stop at that.
She made her intentions clear that she was going to go after Dongwoo.
They still hadn’t gotten back at her for the slap she landed on Dongwoo’s face. That was already an unsettled score. Plus this... She was counting the days to her end, that was for sure.
’Should we just get rid of her?’ he thought and noticed someone standing in front of his door.
He raised his head, only to see it was Dongwoo.
He paused.
The side view looked like Dongwoo. But maybe it was Minwoo.
No, to be certain, he decided to call out.
"Hyung?" He called and Dongwoo turned, shocking Seojun.
It was really Dongwoo. Did he figure out what was going on?
Did he... His eyes landed on the slightly opened door.
Ah, maybe he should’ve closed it after all.
"What’s going on, Seojun?" Dongwoo asked and this alerted the people inside.
They looked up, shocked.
Was Dongwoo outside?
But... He wasn’t supposed to know what was going on. At least, not until they had fixed it.
"Hyung, what are you doing here?" Seojun asked.
"That’s actually similar to what I wanted to ask." Dongwoo said and watched the door open to reveal Minwoo, and behind him were two, three, six people whom he had never seen before, and they all had laptops in front of them. "What are they... No, who are they?" He asked and turned his gaze to Seojun. "Is something going on that I don’t know of?"
Dongwoo gulped.
He was confused. This many people in their apartment... Just what in the world was going on?
He could recognize that anxious and pissed-off look in Seojun’s eyes. Something was going on. Something big was going on that he did not know about.
"Is something going on?" He asked once more and turned to Minwoo who equally looked anxious.
"Hyung," Minwoo called and gritted his teeth.
"Well, can you... Can you say something?" Dongwoo asked. "I’m getting anxious and..." He rubbed the back of his neck, slowly lowering his eyes. "... I’m worried."
Minwoo couldn’t stay silent so he decided to come up with an excuse. Anything.
"Hyung, that’s..."
"It’s nothing." Seojin suddenly said, appearing behind Minwoo and Minwoo glanced back.
He gave way for Seojin to pass, and Seojin walked out with his hands in his sweatpants and the skin-tight shirt he was wearing.
"Nothing?" Dongwoo asked, his face contorting as he knew that was a big fat lie.
"Yes, Hyung, it’s nothing." Seojin said and smiled at him.
Dongwoo was silent. The fact that he was telling him it was nothing while smiling like that and closing his eyes so Dongwoo could not read into them was even more suspicious.
"You’re lying to my face, Seojin." Dongwoo said, fully convinced but Seojin took his hands out of his pocket and dropped them on Dongwoo’s shoulders.
"And what if I am, Hyung?" He asked, still smiling. And then he opened his eyes, showing he had no intention to say the truth. "You know we would never hurt you, Hyung and we only want the best for you." He said. "So, if we say it’s nothing, please think of it as nothing."
Dongwoo looked at Seojin for a while and then glanced at Minwoo standing behind who nodded. Then, he looked towards Seojun who was doing his best not to meet his gaze.
Just how was he supposed to pretend it was nothing when they were all looking like they were preparing for some sort of war?
It made him even more anxious.
Was it really for his own good that they didn’t want to tell him what was going on? Or was it simply because they knew he wouldn’t be of any help?
He was... After all, just a useless crybaby.
"I get it." He said and forced out a smile. "You said it’s nothing, so it’s nothing."
They thought he concluded on that but then he reached out his hand and asked,
"So, can I have my phone back?" He smiled like a harmless butterfly. "Since it’s nothing, there’s no problem giving me my phone, right? I really need it since my designs are stored in the draft that I haven’t yet uploaded to my cloud I hope you understand."
He looked like a harmless butterfly, smiling as he requested for his phone to carry out his work, but Dongwoo, who felt they were keeping something away just to ’protect’ him, was as curious as a cat.
He didn’t want to be kept in the dark because he was of no help, even for a matter such as this.
He wanted to know what was going on by all means.
