Chapter 279: When are we gonna have our first kiss?

"Are you guys filming a movie?" Jaeho asked, appearing out of nowhere and ruining their perfect moment. "Hm, but why do I feel the roles are reversed?"

Doha looked at Jaeho and her eyes twitched.

"Hey, Kid, don’t you know not to interrupt people when they’re in the middle of something?" She asked, ready to land an aching blow to his head but he shrugged and said,

"I’m only running an errand." He said and looked at Dooshik who was hiding his face. "Hm, I believe the boy is supposed to be the one pinning the shy girl. Why are your roles reversed?" He asked.

"Mind your own business." She folded her arms. "This has nothing to do with you."

"Of course it doesn’t. Anyway, I came to tell you that we’re done eating and leaving already. You two seemed to have disappeared for a while so I was sent to check around in case you guys were making out or something." He said, rubbing the back of his neck, and Doha’s face flushed.

"We weren’t making out." She said and he rolled his eyes.

"Oh, sure." He tucked his hands in his pocket. "Anyway, I’m done delivering the message. See ya." He walked away, leaving the two flushing in embarrassment.

"I... I think we should start heading out as well." Dooshik said, avoiding eye contact as he felt ashamed for some reason.

"Yeah, I guess so." She said but just before he walked past her, she caught the edge of his coat and said, "Yes."

"For what?" He asked but she pouted her lips while averting her eyes. He knew what she meant. "Oh. But I haven’t finished asking you yet."

"You don’t have to." She said. "I know what you’re going to say."

Dooshik took her hand and turned to face her while her face flushed at her own boldness.

"I... I want to try it out with you." She said. "And you never know. I might fall for you in no time."

"I’d really like that to happen." Dooshik said and hugged her. His heart was bursting with excitement.

So many things happened that evening, and he suddenly, somehow, without any prior planning, conveyed his feelings to the girl he had been in love with for seven years.

(Well, given that the twins kept Dongwoo on their mind for 12 years then yours is actually manageable. But I guess Dooshik’s case was harder because he was seeing Doha every single day. Watching her smile and celebrating with her. And even with all that, he kept his feelings hidden and acted as the friend she needed and not a lover)

"This doesn’t mean we’re no longer friends, right?" Dooshik asked and Doha nodded.

"Are you kidding me? Nothing is gonna change." She said and he laughed. "And hey, how did you manage to keep your feelings hidden for so long?"

"I don’t know." He answered. "I just did. You can say I know just how to keep my feelings under a tight lock."

"Then..." She shyly looked away. "When are we gonna have our first kiss?" She asked and Dooshik flinched. He pursed his lips and darted his eyes away as he felt guilty grip him. "Why aren’t you saying anything?"

"That is..." He looked at her shyly. "...we already had it." He said and her eyes widened.

"What?!" She exclaimed. "When? And how am I not aware of this?"

She asked but he had no intention to reveal it. And just walked away with her going after him.

"Hey, Dooshik, you can’t just walk away." She said but he was doing just that.

"Let’s... continue this conversation another day." He said but she was adamant.

"No." She said and yelled, "Not until you tell me when we had our first kiss!"

She bumped her head into Dooshik who had suddenly stopped.

"You..." She walked to his front but he wasn’t looking at her and had his eyes on what was in front of them.

In front of them were Minwoo, Dongwoo Seojun, and Seojin, who just exited the restaurant.

Jaeho and Eunwoo walked out after them and saw them all staring at each other.

Doha’s face flushed. She just yelled... She just yelled about a first kiss and gave them away, didn’t she?

"Ha... Haha." She laughed awkwardly.

Dongwoo didn’t know exactly what was going on but it looked like they were dating.

"Congratulations." He said, smiling. "I don’t know when you both started dating but you look good together."

"You... You think so?" Doha asked, flipping her hair behind her ear and he nodded.

"Yeah."

Minwoo looked at her and thought,

’Hm, she moved in fast.’

Well, it was for the greater good, he supposed.

Doha blushed. She was embarrassed but more than that, she was a bit relieved.

"Thank you." Dooshik suddenly said and Dongwoo wondered why he was thanking him. He held Doha’s hand and interlocked their fingers. "I’ll do my best to make her happy."

Dongwoo, who didn’t know why he was telling him that, nodded and said,

"Uh, yeah. You should."

They waved and left.

"I’m gonna head out too." Jaeho said.

"Oh, do you want us to give you a ride?" Dongwoo asked but he shook his head.

"No, don’t worry. Eunwoo and I have something planned so we’ll get to it." He said and Eunwoo nodded.

"Then, stay safe." Dongwoo said and they nodded.

The four of them went to the SUV that Minwoo had driven.

Because of the emergency that evening, he decided to finally use the SUV that had been abandoned in the company’s parking lot.

But Seojin still drove their own car on his way to the hospital, so there was another need to go back to the company.

"Will you drive the car?" Dongwoo asked Minwoo who shrugged and said,

"I don’t think I have a choice."

He said and Dongwoo nodded, placing his hand on his shoulder and saying,

"Thank you," he smiled and Minwoo felt like he knew what he was thanking him for and nodded.

"It was nothing, Hyung," he called and looked at the twins who had declared that title exclusive to only them. "What? You wanna go? He’s my Hyung, you two should find something else to call him. Hmph!"

"Are you looking for trouble?" Seojun asked.

"If you think that I am then I am." He folded his arms. "Anyway, Hyung, tell them." He hugged Dongwoo’s head to his chest. "They should find something else to call you. You’re my Hyung so I have every right to call you that."

"Uh, I think Minwoo is right." Dongwoo said and the twins were not happy with it. "It’s not that I don’t want you to call me that but... You can’t stop Minwoo from calling me that since he’s my... Brother."

He hoped they wouldn’t take it the wrong way.

"How about this? I have another name." He said. "You guys can call me that. I’m sure you’ll be happy to call me that."

"Another name?" Minwoo looked at him. He wasn’t aware that Dongwoo had another name. Did he give himself another name along the line?

"Yes." Dongwoo answered. "They... They gave it to me."

As soon as he said that, Minwoo’s eyes turned glaze.

Ah, of course. It was a name those two came up with. He should’ve known.

"What? Do you have a problem with it?" Seojun asked while Seojin asked that same question with his eyes, looking proud that Dongwoo wanted them to call him by the name they gave him, just as he was calling him by the name he gave them.

"Ah, you probably don’t know," Seojin spoke up. "Our names were given by Hyung. And we gave him a name as well."

Minwoo rolled his eyes. Yes, yes, they were amazing.

"Anyway, I’ll be off. I have something to see to." Minwoo said as he started heading for the SUV.

"Good night, Minwoo." Dongwoo said and Minwoo waved his hand. "Get home safely."

"You too, Hyung."

"Then," Dongwoo turned to the twins. "Shall we get going as well?"

"Yes," they both chorused. "Lorento."
