Chapter 230: Chapter 2: Witch

"Move aside!"

Valia approached the five Holy Knights.

"Holy Knights never back down!"

Olus and Quintus glared determinedly at the rotten wooden shield and the amber-like, crystalline big sword.

The two of them also drew their Golden Swords with a clashing sound.

Their entire armor and the precious swords were made of Fine Gold, mixed with various rare metals, weighing over three to four hundred pounds.

"Our duty is to guard the Holy Temple!"

The current Holy Knight was the last to draw his sword.

The five knights clutched their Golden Swords in unison, spreading out to take positions, readying themselves in battle stances.

Their builds were different, and so were their stances.

Olus was burly,

Quintus sharp like a dagger,

Marcus lean as iron,

Danny well-proportioned,

Mande young and handsome.

Valia held a shield in one hand and a sword in the other.

The battle erupted in an instant.

Olus and Quintus attacked first, swinging their Golden Swords down in a crisscross pattern, but Valia blocked them with her shield.

Marcus, with agile movements, circled around to Valia’s back.

Valia suddenly swung the Glory Divine Sword backhanded, unleashing a sword light as dazzling as a rainbow that burst forth.

Marcus was forced to switch from offense to defense, getting thrown tens of meters away, smashing through a thick tree.

Danny and Mande attacked at the same time, one aiming for Valia’s neck, the other slicing at her legs.

Their movements were swift and steady; they could cut through a five-meter-thick city wall.

Clang!

Golden Swords struck Platinum Battle Armor, the shrill, piercing noise exploded, a sound not meant for common ears, a close-range blast to the brain will cause ears to ooze thick blood.

Valia stood firm, but when that massive force hit her, she still stumbled inevitably.

The four Holy Knights pulled back simultaneously, changing positions to continue their fierce assaults.

Marcus also charged back into the fray, not severely injured.

He wore heavy Golden Armor and moved as if he were flying.

The Holy Knights were confident; at this moment, even if a mature Dragon Clan member were to arrive, as long as it landed, they could dismember it in an instant and wouldn’t need a second move.

Because nothing in this world could withstand the combined force of five Holy Knights!

Valia suddenly smashed her shield into the ground!

Boom!

As if Ice Lake shattered!

The entire Holy City shook for a moment.

The circular shockwave spread tens of meters like a storm, the stone slabs were all lifted, and the solid rock beneath was smashed into pieces.

The five Holy Knights went full force, all of them getting caught in the blast.

In an instant, they were flung hundreds of meters away.

Danny and Mande ended up in the lower pool and the courtyard, while Olus, Marcus, and Quintus were sent flying in other directions, rolling down the stone steps.

With no one to impede her, Valia rushed toward the interior of the Holy Temple, breathing hard.

At this time, the Holy Temple knights and Holy City guards were regrouping and swirling in.

Half of the witches were responsible for intercepting them, engaging in fierce combat.

Valia knew this was not the time to assist her fellow fighters; she had only one true mission.

She quickly passed through the hallway to a large door made from a mix of Mountain Copper and Mithril.

It had a strong resistance to spells and terrifying defensive power.

As Valia charged forward, she swung the Glory Divine Sword, a rainbow-esqe brilliant sword light crashed down like a waterfall.

That thick Mithril door was immediately blown away.

The interior of the Holy Temple was frighteningly spacious, sacred and chilled, lonely and distant.

Directly ahead was the Holy Seat, with the sacred statues of All Gods enshrined.

A group of terrifying assassins hid on both sides, unleashing fearsome Holy Light Swordsmanship on Valia the moment she rushed in.

The Platinum Battle Armor was impenetrable, but it had gaps so tiny they were almost imperceptible; the assassins aimed for those lethal vulnerabilities, their thin swords extremely steady.

Valia instinctively sensed danger, dodged immediately, and her armor rattled in the fray.

She stepped back and swung her Divine Sword, blood splattered, killing a multitude yet again.

But there were too many assassins, all wrapped in black cloth, like many shadows, and their movements were insanely fast, dodging Valia’s sword light.

The High-level Witches charged in, casting spells to deal with the strange assassins who seemed to know no fear.

The unknown number of black-clothed assassins retreated at some point, leaving behind hundreds of corpses, rivers of blood.

But their objective had been achieved.

Next, an entire group of 330 nuns appeared!

Their attire was simple, wearing thin veils, black robes, white belts, and crystal rosaries, quite plain.

Some nuns had sweat on their foreheads, their breathing was uneven, clearly having been hastily assembled and run over.

Then, some nuns quickly adjusted their breaths, their expressions tense, and that sense of solemn solemnity immediately came to the fore.

"It’s the choir! Don’t let them start singing!" many witches shouted out.

But it was too late; they heard the chanting, like sacred hymns!

The song was filled with pure faith, longing for redemption, noble sanctity, simple nature...

Their voices came together, as clear as the call of heaven, converging into a powerful and vast force, with the holy power permeating the field.

Valia bore the brunt.

She raised the Immortal Shield, immediately feeling a terrifying suppression, a torrential current squeezing at her.

Against the tide, as if standing beneath a waterfall, she was nearly crushed in an instant.

"Ah!" Valia bellowed, vigorously swinging the Glory Divine Sword.

Even the invincible Divine Artifact was suppressed.
