Chapter 619: Chapter 618: Piel’s Loyalty

"You’ve been exiled?" Yusuf Zuck couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows. The Count Pier was exiled just because of one failed mission?

"Not exactly exiled," Pier said with a bitter smile. "If the clan calls for me, I still have to serve, no resistance allowed!"

"No human rights, huh? Don’t you Americans value human rights? This is too inhumane!" Yusuf Zuck voiced his indignation on Pier’s behalf.

"Dear sir, you are absolutely right," Pier said feeling wronged. "As a non-direct descendant, in the clan, I’m nothing but an underling at the beck and call of my masters, always having to curry favor. My life is tiring, my shares in the family have been stripped, and look at my power—it has been reduced to that of a Viscount, no longer a Count."

"Your title can be demoted? How did that happen?" Yusuf Zuck asked curiously.

"It’s the Family Head’s punishment—they drained half of my Blood Race bloodline, hence the automatic demotion. I am very weak now..."

"Since that’s the case, we should join forces. You help me, I help you, and then we take down little Roswell Ross, take down your Family Head, and I push you to the top—how about that?"

"It’s useless. No offense to you, sir, but for Blood Races to rise through the ranks, it’s all about bloodline purity," Pier said, shaking his head.

"Well then, I’ll just capture your Family Head and let you drain him. After that, you take over the leadership and we work together," Yusuf Zuck enticed him.

"Still no use. Even if I drained the Family Head’s blood, I could never become a direct descendant. It’s inherent. Only direct descendants can strip us of power, and we are powerless to retaliate!"

"That’s way too oppressive," Yusuf Zuck said, looking at Pier with pity.

"Sir, I’m in awe of you," Pier lifted his glass again to clink glasses with Yusuf Zuck, his face still showing a defeated expression, revealing his current state of despair.

"Here’s the deal, you do me a favor, and then I’ll invest one hundred million US Dollars in your bar. From now on, you stick with me, deal?" Yusuf Zuck suddenly said.

"What? One hundred million US Dollars?" Hearing Yusuf Zuck’s words, Pier screamed in shock. He was too poor to maintain the bar, which was on the verge of collapse. Lately, his dinner consisted of drinking cow and pig blood from a farm in the suburbs. He was in desperate need of money.

"That’s right, I’m not short of cash. Stick with me from now on, and I’ll see you right," Yusuf Zuck said with a shrug.

"Then sir, what do you need me to do?" Pier asked excitedly.

"First, go and find out where little Roswell Ross is, then find out where Bryson Ross is at the moment, and how many people are in the clan," Yusuf Zuck said indifferently.

"Sure, that’s not difficult. I’ll go find out right away, but sir, the US Dollars you promised..."

"I’m a man of my word. When you come back, I’ll have the money transferred to you," Yusuf Zuck said nonchalantly.

"Great, then sir, please wait for me upstairs, this place isn’t safe," Pier respectfully escorted Yusuf Zuck to a room upstairs that appeared to be his living quarters, full of clutter and crammed with empty bottles and expired leftover food all over the tea table.

After an apologetic smile, Pier hurried downstairs.

Yusuf Zuck’s telekinesis followed him to see if he would go and tip someone off.

Pier left the bar, locked the front door from the outside, and hailed a cab. Approximately ten minutes later, the cab dropped him off in a back alley containing a dilapidated two-story building. Pier didn’t use the main entrance but jumped straight up to the second floor, then entered the first floor from there.

Inside the first floor, blue smoke filled the air, and on the sofa, a man and a woman were entwined. The man had delicate skin, and the woman was covered in tattoos. On the table in front of them were all sorts of paraphernalia for drug use.

Obviously, the two junkies had indulged and were now under the influence.

When Pier reached the sofa, the couple was still at it, oblivious to the world. Pier, angered, grabbed a bottle and smashed it over the man’s head.

The man froze for a moment, and the woman screamed.

However, after the scream, both recognized Pier, and the woman disentangled herself from the man and instantly clung to Pier instead.

Pier pushed the woman harshly, then stepped on the delicate, tender neck of the Caucasian and said, "Thor, I ask you, where is the young master now?"

"The young master? Who should I ask if you ask me? Moreover, what do you want with the young master? Don’t forget your current status."

"Then you better ask where the young master is, otherwise don’t blame me for not being polite." Pier increased the pressure on the man’s neck.

"Alright, alright, you madman, you’ve gone crazy!" Thor made a pleading gesture, then took out his mobile phone and dialed a number.

A moment later, Thor put down the phone and said, "Go ask at Extreme Club, the young master often goes there lately."

"Hmph!" Pier snorted coldly and then turned and left.

At this moment, Yusuf Zuck was high above in the sky; seeing Pier’s actions, he completely let go of his worries. It looked as though Pier hated the clan and also wanted to get his own hundred million US Dollars, so he was earnestly doing his job.

Pier got into another taxi and went to Extreme Club.

Extreme Club was a society formed by a group of people challenging human limits, filled with maniacs who adventured around the world and challenged all sorts of human extremes.

Pier Ross was one of the members of Extreme Club.

Pier entered Extreme Club, but Yusuf Zuck, floating above, didn’t find Pier Ross’s traces inside the club.

Pier asked several people but didn’t get any results.

Just as he was about to leave the club dejectedly, a few people stopped him and whispered a few words in his ear.

Pier, thrilled, followed these people back upstairs and then entered an indoor gym.

With a "bang"—just as Pier had entered the gym, a large discus smacked him right in the face, instantly sending him flying. His mouthful of front teeth were all knocked out and his face became twisted and deformed.

Then, a barbell flew at him, striking his body, a giant lead ball hit his chest, and a few figures turned into black mist pounced on him, biting fiercely, drinking his blood. He even saw Pier’s complexion gradually turning pale, losing too much blood.

These people were actually trying to kill him.

Yusuf Zuck was taken aback by this situation and also quickly rushed down.

With a "boom"—when he smashed open the window with a palm, the Purple Light Sword had already flown out. As the sword light flickered, those who were pouncing on Pier also had their heads fall to the ground instantly.

Fearing that these blood-sucking figures might revive from death, Yusuf Zuck used his sword to shatter their heads as well.

Pier, rolling his eyes and spitting blood, convulsed all over, but his consciousness was still clear. Thus, his eyes were especially bright and he looked at Yusuf Zuck for help.

He had no strength left. Being drained of blood by his own kind was the most fatal; not only because of the virus, but also because it depleted their vitality the most—others drinking his blood essentially deprived him of vitality to strengthen themselves!

Yusuf Zuck cursed, "Seeing that you have worked diligently, I’ll give you a break. Don’t move!" Yusuf Zuck extended his finger and dripped a drop of purple liquid into Pier’s mouth.

The miracle occurred seconds later. As the drop of purple liquid rapidly dissolved in Pier’s mouth, his body made popping noises, swelling up like a balloon. And not only that, he started spraying blood—first black, then red, and finally, after spewing out blue blood, streaks of golden blood flowed out as his body quickly recovered.

His entire body was twisting, bones were cracking, his height was increasing, bones were growing stronger, eyes turning blue, and his canine teeth elongating!

Three minutes later, Yusuf Zuck felt the powerful breathing of Pier; all his injuries were healed, and his fangs were ten centimeters long!

What was most strange was that Yusuf Zuck suddenly felt a blood-connected sensation with Pier. The Seven Blood Beads in his mind seemed to breathe in sync with Pier’s heartbeat—a very wondrous feeling—as if he was connected to himself.

"Respected master, Pier Ross is at your service..." Pier, with his elongated fangs, prostrated himself, then kissed Yusuf Zuck’s shoes.
