Invisible Security Guard -
Chapter 550 - 549: Like Fears Like
Chapter 550: Chapter 549: Like Fears Like
"Hiding your head but showing your tail, sneaky and sly!" Tyler Nash screamed, and then a fierce wave of energy burst from his body, like a wild gust of wind, causing trees and grass within a dozen meters around him to slant wildly.
Of course, several untriggered bullets were also blown away instantaneously by the wave.
However, not all the bullets were aimed at him; some penetrated the crevices of the rockeries, shattered windows, and lodged in corners.
"Everyone, converge on me immediately, this thief possesses the Sword Controlling Technique, hurry!" Tyler Nash shouted loudly.
Yusuf Zuck, a thousand and two hundred meters away, controlled all the bullets, and those bullets, as if alive, caused countless screams in just a blink of an eye.
Indeed, those who thought that staying hidden and cowering in corners would keep them safe never expected bullets to come flying, turning corners, and hopping up and down.
So there were roars everywhere, and sounds of fighting as well.
A minute later, several people broke through windows, retreating while fighting. These were mighty experts with great strength, some reaching the Late-Glimpse Stage, and a few had no cultivation level but possessed special abilities.
A total of eleven people joined Tyler Nash’s side, the eleven strongest experts, including the leader, Erik Thornton, though his face was pale at that moment.
After fighting for so long and losing so many men, they still hadn’t seen a glimpse of their opponent.
True masters of invisibility indeed, able to control Flying Swords, the battle was frustratingly stifling.
"Ha, fast!" Seeing only eleven people managed to join him alive, Tyler Nash drew his sword, and as the entire blade was unsheathed, streaks of Sword Qi flew like rainbows piercing the sun, actually forming solidity and creating a series of white sword shadows under his swift slicing.
"Bang bang bang bang bang~" Several bullets were deflected in the night sky, and finally, silence settled.
And just at that moment, while the villa yard was shrouded in gloom and tension, Tyler Nash’s phone suddenly rang.
It was the sound of a text message.
Tyler Nash pulled it out to read, just ten words: Southeast, twelve hundred meters, rooftop.
"Follow me, Yusuf Zuck, I’m going to slaughter you!" Tyler Nash’s toes touched the ground, and in an instant, he leaped tens of meters away, soaring like a hawk, incredibly fast and eerily unpredictable.
"Keep up," Erik Thornton waved his hand, and eleven champions of Truth-Insight or those with special abilities promptly followed.
Yusuf Zuck’s hair stood on end when he saw Tyler Nash leading others charging rapidly in his direction. He had seen Tyler Nash glance at his phone; did that mean someone had informed him of his location?
How was that possible? Yusuf Zuck extended his Thought Overlay for hundreds of meters around him, meticulously searching every corner, but there was indeed no one!
"I see you." At that moment, Tyler Nash, who had made several leaps, drew closer and, with the help of the infrared imaging feature on his glasses, saw the figure lying on that rooftop, who else could it be but Yusuf Zuck?
"There’s a master among us." Yusuf Zuck picked up his sniper rifle and made a tactical withdrawal quickly while also paying attention to every movement around him.
This master was terrifying; his own Thought Overlay of twelve hundred meters failed to detect him, yet he had managed to find Yusuf Zuck.
But... why didn’t this master come himself? What was the reason for that?
Yusuf Zuck didn’t linger for more fighting. He hadn’t planned on a successful strike that night anyhow, and there was still plenty of time before the seventh-day mourning; as long as he came to pay homage to Kevin Nash before then, it would be sufficient.
Additionally, there was a master at the scene today, but Yusuf Zuck had no idea what he looked like; so if he recklessly confronted Tyler Nash, he was afraid he might truly be left behind there.
He hastily retreated, running at top speed, soon bolting onto the streets and highways. As he was Invisible, others couldn’t see him, so he continued to run, even taking turns.
Tyler Nash lost trace of him because once Zuck reached the main streets, he was like a dragon entering the sea, hard to capture. With such distance, even with glasses, Nash couldn’t see him.
Out of frustration, Tyler Nash ground his teeth and immediately called Ty Meskill.
"Where is he, where is he?" Tyler Nash asked with a shrill, duck-like voice.
"He’s gone, we lost him," came the voice of Ty Meskill.
"How could you lose him? How could you lose him?" Tyler Nash roared.
"I didn’t dare get too close to him, plus I couldn’t see him. He was Invisible the whole time, and you have the glasses, whereas I don’t!"
"Then how did you discover him just now?" Tyler Nash pressed urgently.
"The origin of all the bullets — that was his location. I based it on the direction the bullets were fired from. Also, that man has enormous Divine Sense, even larger than mine. He can manipulate objects with his Divine Sense. I can only see up to a hundred meters, but him... If I’m not mistaken, at least a kilometer!"
Ah..." Tyler Nash, upon hearing this, was so infuriated that he hurled his phone to the ground.
Two thousand meters away, atop a very distant skyscraper, Ty Meskill hung up the phone. In front of him lay a high-powered monocular, just like an astronomical telescope, with which he had been observing the battle and analyzing Yusuf Zuck’s location.
He had actually been near the villa at the start, but when a wave of Divine Sense swept over, it terrified him so much that his hair stood on end.
In this world, those who possess Divine Sense are exceedingly rare. So the moment he felt that Divine Sense, he immediately fled far away, ending up on the rooftop of a skyscraper two kilometers distant.
He hadn’t anticipated that Zuck would have Divine Sense, making him realize that killing Zuck would be extremely difficult. This man could become Invisible and had a Divine Sense that could extend for a kilometer. If Meskill got too close, he would likely be detected.
Moreover, Yusuf Zuck was not a person who acted recklessly without thinking. One could say he was shrewd and adept at calculating, disappearing as soon as he sensed danger.
Such a cunning person was extremely difficult to deal with.
After running for ten kilometers on the city streets, from one district to another, and carefully scouting the people nearby, Yusuf Zuck used Thought Overlay to transport himself repeatedly, taking twists and turns as he fled.
It was too dangerous. That person lurking in the shadows with Divine Sense was far too dangerous. Tyler Nash wasn’t to be feared, but that other man was.
Half an hour later, Zuck arrived at Parker and leaped into an office through a window on the sixtieth-something floor.
This window was the very one from which Kevin Nash had pushed Tyler Nash off the building, and the office itself belonged to Kevin Nash—his large photo was still there.
Zuck had spotted this office when he first came to this building’s rooftop, so he had come to the safest, most unexpected place.
Once inside the office, he locked the door from the inside, then sat on the boss’s chair to contemplate all that had happened tonight. He recalled the fight, analyzing where that unknown enemy might have been hiding.
As long as that person remained, Tyler Nash would not die. Only by eliminating him could Zuck confront Tyler Nash face to face.
"Where could he be hiding?" Yusuf Zuck frowned, pondering the nearby terrain.
