"We haven’t made much progress on our side, but I just heard from Memphis and Isaac that they’ve made some breakthroughs," Samuel Ross said as he handed the Short Sword hidden in his embrace to Yusuf Zuck.

Yusuf Zuck’s eyes lit up when he saw the Short Sword, for it now had a scabbard, beautifully crafted.

"Who made this?" Yusuf Zuck drew the Short Sword, which fitted just right, neither too loose nor too tight. With this scabbard, it looked much better than wrapped in cloth.

"Uriel did," Samuel Ross said with a smile.

Uriel had made it, and Uriel was a former soldier who also knew carpentry. This team really did have talents.

"Uriel, thanks," Yusuf Zuck gestured a thanks to Uriel Arellano.

Anais Dillon said with a chuckle, "Then we reviewed the surveillance footage again and finally pinpointed something suspicious."

"Container trucks. There were three container trucks on the highway at that time, two with authentic plates and one with a fake," Anais Dillon analyzed, "Our preliminary conclusion is that the two cars were loaded onto one of these container trucks while on the highway, which is how they disappeared."

"Makes sense." Upon hearing Anais Dillon’s analysis, everyone’s eyes lit up. Of course, it was possible for the vehicles to drive into a container truck on the highway, which explained how the cars disappeared without a trace.

"We traced the truck with the fake plates to Zhangjiakou and then it vanished, but of course, we’ll keep investigating." Russ Trujillo just glanced at Yusuf Zuck, then hesitantly opened his mouth to say, "Yusuf, stop investigating."

"What do you mean?" Everyone was baffled by Russ Trujillo’s statement. What did he mean by telling them to stop the investigation?

Yusuf Zuck, a smart man, looked at Russ Trujillo for a few moments, then picked up a cigarette from the tea machine and asked, "Is the other party’s identity complicated?"

"Even if you find out, you can’t lay a hand on him. It’s not just ’complicated,’" Russ Trujillo shook his head.

"We’re just going to let it go? What are you playing at, ’Mr. Huang’?" Samuel Ross and the others were not going to stand for it. No matter who the identity belonged to, even if it was the president, they were prepared to take action.

"Yusuf, after the Spring Festival, a friend of mine will come to visit you. Make sure you aren’t too busy then. Also, my family will all be resting at home during the festival," Anna Cooke said as she got up with her bag, relieved to see Yusuf safe and well.

Yusuf understood her meaning; she wanted him to visit the Shepherd Family during the lunar month for a meal and to socialize.

"Alright, I got it. Take care on your way," Yusuf said with a smile and a nod.

"Then we’ll be leaving too," Samuel and the others waved their hands and left with Anna Cooke.

Anais, Mary, and Isaac left together too.

"Faye and I aren’t leaving," Jerome Hart chuckled, "Come on, Faye, let’s check out my room. Here’s the key to it."

"Don’t talk nonsense," Faye blushed furiously, pulled along by Jerome’s antics. Although they had made their romantic interest official, they had only gone as far as holding hands and kissing, nothing more. Jerome certainly wished for more, but Faye wasn’t allowing it.

"Jerome, you should just stay at home from now on. Brother Yusuf, you can leave on your own," Jerome said bluntly as he waved Yusuf away.

"Yusuf, what Russ and Miles said earlier makes sense. If you can let this thing go, then just let it pass. Don’t make a big deal out of it," Franco Zuck gave Yusuf a meaningful look before turning to leave.

Yusuf kept silent as Russ, Felicity, and Miles also left to stay over at Miles’s place. After everyone had departed, only Jerome and Louise were left, along with Paisley and Raelyn, who were already residents here, making them practically half-owners of the place.

After all the women had gone upstairs, Jerome stayed behind and took out two cans of beer, offering one to Yusuf. "We haven’t had a chat in a long time. Let’s talk. How do you see today’s incident?"

"What’s your take on it?" Yusuf countered.

"It must be some big shot who made a move on you. Even if you find out who it was, you can’t possibly strike back against someone that powerful. That’s what Russ and Khaza Zuck meant!"

"But retaliation doesn’t always have to be about weapons or guns," Jerome sneered. "Does killing someone always require violence or firearms?"

Yusuf just watched Jerome, who knew him better than anyone else in their team. Despite his seemingly careless demeanor, Jerome always knew exactly what he was doing.

"I know you can’t just let it go. Now, I’ll teach you a trick, a way to kill without shedding blood, undetectable by medical technology," Jerome said as he magically produced a chart of human acupuncture points, then pointed to a specific spot on the chart.

"One needle, and it’s sudden death from a cerebral hemorrhage!"
