Chapter 334: I Can Fly Too

Chapter 334: Chapter 334: I Can Fly Too

"Hmm? The scars, the scars are gone!" While Yusuf Zuck was closely inspecting his body inside and out, he suddenly noticed a detail—the scars from previous fights, and the ones from his recent clash with that demon Tripp Greer had all disappeared. His tattoos were still there, but miraculously, the scars were gone.

He hadn’t paid attention to these details before, but now, with just a bit of attention, he realized they had vanished without a trace.

He hadn’t used any kind of scar cream or anything!

"The scars are gone, what else is there?" Yusuf Zuck was incredibly excited. It was indeed as he suspected; there were many more secrets to his body that he hadn’t discovered yet.

The mutations deep within his mind weren’t just about increased strength, invisibility, and telekinesis, it also brought distinct differences.

"Also, my memory has gotten better, almost photographic, and the time for ’that’ activity has increased. These are all benefits!" When Yusuf Zuck thought about this, he couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.

Fleur Carson glanced at Yusuf Zuck in the rearview mirror and cursed him as a lunatic.

At that moment, Yusuf Zuck also had a sudden urge to try out the operating table again, to see how much anesthetic it would take to affect him if he inhaled it now, and how long it would last.

Of course, what he didn’t know at the time was that, after the decomposition and fusion through the Blood Beads, if he came across that anesthetic again, even a ton of it wouldn’t affect him anymore.

The Blood Beads were, in fact, constantly remodeling and adapting everything about him, everything he came into contact with. So, those toxins wouldn’t work on him anymore.

"And, and, does my blood have its own healing properties? If I were to transfuse my blood into Lucy Clayton, could it wake her up?" Yusuf Zuck couldn’t contain his excitement at the thought. He knew he was special, and consequently, his blood must be too, so could his blood wake her up?

"No, no, everyone has different blood types. If I recklessly give her a transfusion, it might cause rejection and chaos." Yusuf Zuck immediately dismissed the idea. He wouldn’t allow even the slightest risk to befall Lucy, especially not now. If anything else went wrong, no one would be able to save her.

"Lucy Clayton and Everest Zuck both called a while ago. I turned off your phone and didn’t answer!" Fleur Carson reminded him at that moment.

"Everest Zuck also called? It’s just past four in the morning, isn’t it?" Yusuf Zuck was taken aback. Why would Khaza Zuck call at this ungodly hour without sleeping?

As for Lucy Clayton, she was likely reporting to him.

He turned his phone back on and after some thought, decided to call Lucy Clayton first.

However, the call went straight to voicemail; Lucy Clayton had turned off her phone.

What Yusuf Zuck didn’t know was that Lucy Clayton’s plane had taken off around four in the morning. She had been about to board when she called him, and by now, she was already in the air, headed for Tokyo, along with the several people who had worked with him that evening—all of them utterly devoted subordinates.

Since she was unreachable, Yusuf Zuck didn’t bother to call her again and instead phoned Everest Zuck.

Everest Zuck was quick to pick up, and upon connecting, immediately scolded, "Why didn’t you answer my call?"

"I was sleeping. You know I suffer from insomnia, and when I finally managed to doze off, I just ended the call instinctively when I heard the phone ring," Yusuf Zuck lied.

"Were you really sleeping or just pretending? I just got an inside tip." Everest Zuck sneered, "There’s a lead on your officer Lucy’s case. The police got a tip-off and identified some suspects. They sent detectives to survey them and were close to pinning down the criminal. They planned to arrest him this morning, but just over an hour ago, someone set a fire prematurely and burned the place down... the building is practically charred..."

"Of course, if it’s charred, it’s charred, but the key thing is that two groups saw the suspect, they saw fire trucks and such. Sigh, no idea who did it, but that person better pray for luck!"

"Pfft—" Yusuf Zuck almost choked on his own blood. Had he and Fleur Carson been seen in action, including when they spilled the gasoline? He remembered that no one had been within a forty-five-meter radius at the time.

"Brother, don’t scare me!" Yusuf Zuck whispered, "As for that matter, he deserved to die anyway, but what else did the police investigators see?"

"How would I know?"

With a "click," Everest Zuck hung up the phone. Given the magnitude of the incident in the capital, it was only normal for Everest to hear about it. By now, National Security was probably mobilized.

Yusuf could only eagerly call back, speaking in a gentle and respectful tone, calling him "big brother" with every other word.

"Forget it, I was just scaring you. It’s not a big deal. Those little devils had long been on National Security’s radar, and the police were also watching them last night. But dead men tell no tales. Besides, the police didn’t see you, right? If they did, would you still be able to call me? So, they must have been surveilling from a distance, maybe even from a building across the street. In the pitch dark, how could they see who anyone was?"

"You’re right, yes, haha!" Yusuf Zuck laughed heartily.

"Flight at eight this morning; you’d better hurry. Meet at the airport at seven-thirty. For your sake, bro, I’m trusting you with over a hundred pounds of myself!"

"Thanks a lot, big brother," Yusuf Zuck said gratefully.

"Drop it; if you don’t cause me too much trouble, I’d be already burning incense in thanks. But you did a great job last night. I looked into it carefully after hearing about it. There wasn’t even a corpse left inside, let alone the rebar that got melted down, so there’s nothing to find. So I’ll give you an extra point for that. I fully support you burning those little devils, damn it, my grandfather was killed by the little devils. This is about national vengeance, a family feud. Peace, my ass!"

"Damn straight, peace, my ass!" Yusuf Zuck swore along, and then both laughed heartily as they hung up the phone.

"Were we discovered?" Seeing Yusuf Zuck hang up, Fleur Carson asked worriedly.

"Shouldn’t be." Yusuf Zuck reasoned, "My telekinesis covers a radius of forty-five meters, and I didn’t detect anyone nearby at the time. So even if there was someone, they’d be too far to see clearly."

Fleur Carson nodded, "We’ll have to be more careful in the future; I don’t want to be targeted."

"Yeah, but this matter isn’t over yet." Yusuf Zuck took a deep breath, "The little devils indeed deserve to die, but Bud Trujillo deserves it more. So I have to make another trip to Japan, maybe before the New Year or after."

"Do you need me to go?" Fleur Carson asked.

"No need, I’ll go alone, it’s more convenient that way."

Fleur Carson smiled, "True, there probably isn’t a person in the world who can catch you now."

"Can’t say that, there might be many people in this world alongside me, even stronger than me, so I still need to work hard!" Yusuf Zuck chuckled.

"Work hard? Are you planning to learn to fly or what?" Fleur Carson teased, laughing.

Yusuf Zuck blinked, "Maybe there will come a day when I really can fly, so I have to keep trying, right?"

Of course, by ’trying hard’, Yusuf Zuck meant figuring out how to further integrate the Blood Beads in his mind. You see, all of the hundred Blood Beads were red, but the bottom two had turned white, which indicated that they had integrated with him, and he had absorbed the abilities they contained.

So, what would he become after absorbing a third, or even a fourth Blood Bead?

To fly? Perhaps that day might really come!
