Chapter 254: Chapter 254: Riding Around the Island

Marlon Shepherd thought Yusuf Zuck was joking. Yusuf was a young man, as well as a billionaire tycoon who had made a fortune overnight, and wasn’t short of money. So, how could someone like him possibly buy a bicycle?

However, to Marlon’s surprise, the next morning, Yusuf bought a bike worth over seven thousand Hong Kong dollars at a shopping center in Central, as well as various cycling gear, clothing, and hats, totaling over ten thousand dollars.

Marlon was speechless. If Yusuf wanted to go mad, then let him be mad on his own—he still needed to help Yusuf quickly pick out a location and buy a house.

He was now Yusuf’s eyes, as well as his right and left hands. Yusuf was a hands-off shopkeeper, so he had to complete the tasks Yusuf had assigned to him.

Of course, this was also a sign of trust from Yusuf. No third party knew about the house buying.

Yusuf returned to the hotel to change his clothes and donned his cycling attire, topped with a large backpack. After having a quick lunch at the hotel, he began riding around Hong Kong on his own in the afternoon. He wasn’t afraid of getting lost since he had bought a GPS navigation device for his bike.

These days, there were many people cycling, gathering friends on weekends and marking out cycling maps, setting off as they talked—it was not only a good way to exercise but also a response to national policies.

Speaking of low-carbon environmental protection, abandoning cars for bikes had a certain appeal of returning to nature.

Following Victoria Harbour and guided by the navigation, Yusuf wanted to visit several places: Causeway Bay, Tuen Mun, and Mong Kok. These areas often appeared in TV shows and movies. Back in the day, several films about gangsters made these places very famous. With nothing particular to do, he decided to meander about.

What he didn’t know, however, was as he cycled to a crossroads and waited for the red light, a black Bentley car happened to pass by, also waiting for the red light, just a dozen meters away from Yusuf.

Daisy Wilkinson held a certain social status in Hong Kong and possessed a vast Money Empire. This girl from the mainland could be said to have dominated half of Hong Kong Island, with her business empire spread across it.

She was always busy, dealing with official business during the day and under-the-table deals in the shadows.

Usually, she would handle the company’s affairs in the morning and only go to "Sun Kee Restaurant" in the afternoon to have tea while managing her more secretive business.

They called her "Bamboo Green Tea," a venomous snake on Hong Kong Island. There were many associations in Hong Kong society, and she was a big boss in one of them.

Her Bentley was covered in pitch-black film, making it impossible to see inside from the outside but allowing her to suddenly recognize the familiar figure waiting for the red light. She could see part of his profile but not all of it. However, in the instant she glimpsed his face, she remembered someone.

Having carved out her place in society with very sharp eyes, or better said, extremely keen eyes, one needed significant insight to get involved in associations within the Earth Realm like Hong Kong, right?

She frowned slightly and murmured in surprise since she felt it was impossible.

Just then, the green light came on. The cyclist who had stopped at the red light and taken a drink continued on his way, and Daisy softly instructed her driver, "Marlon, slow down, not too fast."

The driver was a very handsome man in a suit, and in the passenger seat sat a girl with a ponytail and denim outfit, while an older woman, in her fifties, also accompanied her.

These three people were her close associates, whom she brought wherever she went, much like a celebrity’s manager handling phone calls for her.

The Bentley slowed down and began to move forward but soon passed the cyclist on the roadside.

Daisy looked out the window; at this moment, she was just over a meter away from the cyclist, finally getting a clear view of the rider’s appearance.

Daisy paused for a moment, then the car slowly widened the gap between her and the cyclist.

"Could it really be him?" Daisy found it unbelievable. That Yusuf, the one so ruthless and with such a personality, had actually come to cycle on Hong Kong Island?

"Mia, the phone," she reached out for the phone after a moment.

Seated beside her, Yusuf’s mother immediately took out her petite cell phone from her bag, a custom diamond-studded model that was extremely delicate.

She dialed Mia Lara Tuff’s number, which rang only three times before Mia picked up.

"Auntie, what’s up?" Mia whispered.

"Er, what are you doing?" Daisy Wilkinson asked in an equally hushed voice.

"The supervisor is holding a meeting," Mia continued softly.

"Oh, is everything okay? Won’t you get scolded?" Daisy laughed.

"No, he rarely scolds me. Just tell me, what’s going on?" Mia asked.

"Hmm, have you been in contact with Yusuf Zuck recently?" Daisy inquired.

Mia was taken aback over the phone; it had been a long time since she had actively called Yusuf.

"Haven’t contacted him for many days, what’s wrong?" Mia thought then replied.

"I saw someone at the traffic light just now who looks almost exactly like Yusuf; I thought it was him, and I’m not sure if it was!" Daisy spoke indifferently.

"Ah! I have to hang up... beep... beep... beep..." Daisy hadn’t finished speaking when Mia hung up the call.

Daisy could only smile wryly; Mia’s changes had been very significant lately, she could say she had fundamentally transformed. For some inexplicable reason, she had taken a proper job, and after joining the company, she started from the very bottom as a warehouse clerk. Most importantly, even her supervisor was unaware of her true identity.

At first, Marco Tuff, Daisy Wilkinson, and everyone who knew Mia thought she wouldn’t last three days, yet the reality was that she had been working for over twenty days enduring both hardship and weariness, coming home able to eat and sleep well. She traveled to and from work by subway every day.

After hanging up the call, Daisy looked back towards the rear of the car again, but Yusuf’s figure was nowhere to be seen.

About a minute later, Daisy’s phone rang again; an anxious Mia spoke on the phone, "He... His phone is off. Where did you see him?"

"It might not even have been him. Why the rush?" Daisy said, half laughing and half crying.

"Just tell me where you saw him!" Mia demanded loudly.

"Tuen Mun, at the intersection of Sun Market Street."

"Click!" Mia hung up the phone, while Daisy took a deep breath and said, "Notify the team on Miss’s side to heighten vigilance."

"Understood." The girl with the ponytail in front dialed a number and issued the command.

Although Mia had returned to normalcy, none of her overt and covert bodyguards had left her side; indeed, an entire team was there to protect her around the clock.

Meanwhile, at a warehouse sales department under the Money Empire corporate umbrella, Mia no longer cared about her shift. Dressed in her work clothes, without changing, she dashed out and took the subway towards Tuen Mun. At the same time, she continuously dialed Yusuf’s number over and over again.

Yusuf’s phone was off, and beyond knowing his phone number, she had no idea how to contact anyone else around him. Hence, upon hearing from her aunt that Yusuf was in Hong Kong, she found herself unable to reach him.

She was very anxious, desperate to find Yusuf immediately.
