Chapter 191: Leave Once It’s Done

Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Leave Once It’s Done

Yusuf Zuck was polite, but his words were tantamount to a gentle rejection. You, Daisy Wilkinson, think thirty million will make me risk my life? Even when Mia promised several billion, he hadn’t agreed, so Yusuf’s politeness was tinged with a hint of sarcasm.

He was telling Daisy that neither life nor friendship could be measured in money. He could refuse payment to save Mia’s life because Mia was his friend, not because Mia was wealthy.

However, Yusuf’s gentle rejection seemed to have no embarrassing effect on Daisy; she didn’t seem to catch the sarcasm and simply smiled faintly, "It seems Mr. Zuck is no longer interested in this, but I still must thank Mr. Zuck. My brother-in-law and I were almost scared to death, so if Mr. Zuck has any requests, feel free to mention them. Of course, we have no other intentions. We hope to become business partners or friends with Mr. Zuck, and we also hope Mr. Zuck and Mia’s friendship will last!" This woman was sophisticated in her speech, flawless in her conduct, and she had also realized that Yusuf was capable and resourceful—a man better to befriend than to offend!

"I have no requests, nor do I need any help," Yusuf immediately shook his head. If he made a request, then all his talk of friendship would be nonsense.

A man’s spit is his bond—how could he go back on his word?

"In that case, I won’t disturb Mr. Zuck any longer. If Mr. Zuck ever goes to Hong Kong, please let me know. I’ll treat you to a meal, and..." Daisy began to stand up while speaking, "From now on, Mia’s safety is my responsibility. She will rest tonight, and we will leave Jakarta tomorrow morning."

"Oh!" Yusuf suddenly realized that this woman had come to take Mia away. Now, she didn’t trust Mia with anyone else.

"Alright, tell Mia to be careful in the future," Yusuf nodded.

"Thank you, Mr. Zuck, for your assistance. Thank you," Daisy gave Yusuf a slight bow and then turned to leave.

Yusuf politely escorted her to the door. When he opened it, he saw four or five men and women, bristling with murderous intent, standing in the hallway. Daisy had brought these people, each looking like a hitman.

"What does this woman do?" After closing the door, Yusuf narrowed his eyes. This woman seemed more like a member of society rather than a corporate executive, and the people she kept were clearly not ordinary bodyguards, for ordinary bodyguards did not carry such a hardened air about them.

Moreover, Yusuf could tell that these bodyguards were very wary of this woman.

"Fleur, get dressed," Yusuf sat back on the couch, lit a cigarette, and then called to Fleur Carson to get dressed.

"What’s up? What happened?" Fleur partially opened the bedroom door and asked.

"Let’s go, we leave tonight!" Yusuf stubbed out the cigarette he had only taken two puffs of and said, "We can’t stay here anymore!"

"Why can’t we stay? Did that - seductive - woman threaten you?" Fleur raised her eyebrows.

"That’s not the case, but I just don’t want to stay here anymore. Since Mia has been taken away by her, our task is finished. Staying on makes no sense and staying longer only exposes us more. Don’t forget, I just killed sixteen of Jeff Frost’s mercenaries. That’s a deep grudge. Right now, they don’t know who did it, but if we keep in touch with Marco Tuff or Mia’s aunt, they will zero in on us. So we leave tonight!"

"Right, right, right, we shouldn’t contact them. I’ll get dressed, and then we can leave!" Fleur nodded repeatedly—they had just incurred a heavy blood debt and absolutely could not afford to show their faces.

"That said, Marco Tuff or that she-demon wouldn’t betray us, would they?" Fleur asked while getting dressed.

"They shouldn’t, should they? If they betray us, that’d be utterly unscrupulous!" Yusuf frowned.

"Heh, in this world, only you talk about scruples. Who else does? There’s no business without deceit, and women are all villains too. Whether it’s Marco Tuff or that she-demon, neither is easy to deal with!"

"I hope not!" Yusuf exhaled. If one day, Jeff Frost’s mercenaries really came hunting for him all over the world, it would definitely mean Marco Tuff and Daisy Wilkinson had betrayed him.

Fleur Carson gave Yusuf Zuck a strange look and gently shook her head, indicating that she still hadn’t fully understood the human heart.

If Jeff Frost’s Mercenary Team were to mobilize in full force and locate Marco Tuff, threatening him by various means, Marco Tuff would surely disclose today’s events to save himself, leading to Yusuf Zuck inevitably being pursued by Jeff Frost’s team.

Being hunted by a Mercenary Team was undoubtedly terrifying; not even hiding back in the country would be safe.

Moreover, with sixteen people dead, the incident was bound to cause a global uproar by tomorrow. Headlines from major media outlets all over the world would feature this major news, so in effect, Yusuf Zuck had slapped Jeff Frost in the face in front of the whole world. Jeff Frost would seek retaliation to recover dignity and face and would pursue Yusuf Zuck relentlessly.

"Did I shoot myself in the foot?" Yusuf Zuck asked, looking at Fleur Carson.

"Mia didn’t give you any play, and you’re down almost a million, with a massive blood debt to boot. I’ve never seen anyone as dumb*** as you!"

"Mind your language!" Yusuf Zuck glared at Fleur Carson and said.

"Language my ass! You didn’t even get laid. If you had, I wouldn’t have said anything because, at the very least, you’d have the girl. But you... You barely even got to touch her hand a couple of times, totally not worth it. So, tell me, aren’t you just being stupid?"

"It’s my damn choice!" Yusuf Zuck swore loudly.

"Fine, I’ll shut up. But where do we go now?" Fleur Carson knew Yusuf Zuck well; he was the type of person who’d go through hell and high water for a friend.

Yusuf Zuck took a deep breath, "Sin City, Las Vegas!"

"Eh? What are you gonna do there?" Fleur Carson asked, puzzled.

"Make money, of course. Gamble, visit brothels, have a threesome with American beauties. I’ll take my leave with no strings attached and live a carefree life!" Yusuf Zuck stood up and headed outside.

"Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about!" Fleur Carson jumped up excitedly.

...

Meanwhile, Daisy Wilkinson didn’t return to her presidential suite but instead went to the room of two of her bodyguards and sent them away. She was on the phone with Marco Tuff.

"This is the situation; sixteen mercenaries from Jeff Frost’s team were all killed by him. So, it’s good news but it’s also bad news. Have you heard anything from your people?"

"Nothing, can’t figure out who it is. But you’re right, it’s both good and bad. We’ve made an enemy of a mercenary organization, and problems will surely keep coming!" Marco Tuff was feeling the headache.

"If it really comes down to it, then... we sacrifice the pawn to save the chariot." Daisy Wilkinson finally showed her ruthless side—she was venomous like a bamboo viper!

"We can’t do that; it’s too heartless, isn’t it? And if Yusuf... if he finds out, he might retaliate against Mia, and that would be trouble!" Marco Tuff immediately objected.

Daisy Wilkinson grew calm. Marco Tuff’s worries were also hers. If Yusuf Zuck knew they had betrayed him, would he harm Mia? And if he did, the consequences were unimaginable.

"There’s another way. We could hire another Mercenary Team to wipe out Jeff Frost completely, to erase his existence from the world!"
