Invisible Security Guard
Chapter 181: Jakarta

Chapter 181: Chapter 181: Jakarta

Yusuf Zuck was downstairs telling everyone that he had to leave the country immediately and arranging the corresponding affairs when Fleur Carson already rushed down the stairs with her bag in tow.

"Yusuf Zuck, there are two direct flights to Jakarta tonight, both operated by Korean Air. One just departed at eight o’clock, but there is another one at 9:35 PM. We still have time if we leave now!"

"Samuel, drive us there, let’s go!" Yusuf stood up, glanced at everyone, and then turned to leave.

"Brother, be careful!"

"Yusuf..." Miles O’Brien ran up to Yusuf with tears brimming in her eyes, "Did you take your bank card? The kind that works with UnionPay."

"I’ve got it, and Fleur has some US dollars, so don’t worry. We need to go now, we’re running out of time." Yusuf nodded to everyone and continued walking.

Samuel Ross ran ahead to the yard and started the Land Rover.

Yusuf and Fleur took their seats in the back.

"Samuel, I’m leaving the house to you."

"Don’t worry, I know what to do." Samuel nodded and quickly drove off from the villa complex.

At nine o’clock on the evening of November twelfth, Yusuf and Fleur entered the departure hall. Fleur, being a frequent international traveler, was well-versed in handling all the procedures. By the time she picked up the tickets, most of the passengers had already boarded.

"What about you?" At the security checkpoint, Fleur looked at Yusuf with a furrowed brow.

"After you go through security, don’t wait for me, just board the plane. I’ll be right back." Yusuf turned and quickly entered the restroom. When he came back out, he had become completely invisible!

Fleur didn’t know what Yusuf was up to, but it was too late to ponder. If Yusuf couldn’t board the flight in the end, she would have to go to Jakarta first. So she checked her ticket, passed through customs, and quickly reached the airplane entrance where she had to swipe the ticket against an electronic reader as a final check against boarding the wrong flight.

After entering, Fleur found her seat but did not sit down immediately. Instead, she kept looking back.

Soon, the flight staff verified the passenger count, and the cabin was closed. The plane was not full; there were many empty seats, and the in-flight announcement started instructing all passengers to fasten their seat belts.

Fleur cursed softly and then sat down, fastening her seat belt as the airplane slowly moved toward the runway.

The flight, scheduled for 9:35 PM, took off on time, and Fleur had not seen Yusuf again since then. She knew that Yusuf had not been able to smuggle himself onto the plane.

However, what Fleur did not know was that as she entered the cabin and before the plane had taken off, when the luggage compartment was just about to be closed, Yusuf had crawled into the luggage bay. It was pitch dark with no one around. Once he entered, the luggage compartment was sealed shut.

Yusuf had to curl up in a corner on an empty stomach. However, at least there were no people around, so he didn’t have to worry about being discovered.

Nine hours later, the plane landed. Fleur took her boarding pass and walked out with the other passengers. Yet, she kept looking around, hoping for a miracle that she would see Yusuf.

But as she passed through the customs and security channels, she still did not see a trace of Yusuf.

However, just as she was about to enter the airport restroom to wash her face and splash some water, the door was pushed open from the inside and she bumped into Yusuf head-on!

"Damn it, a ghost!" Fleur’s hair stood on end from shock. She remembered that when she and Yusuf had parted, Yusuf had entered the restroom at the Beijing airport. How could it be that the next time she saw him, he emerged from a restroom at the Jakarta airport? Did he rush through the sewer or was there some kind of "teleportation formation" in the airport restrooms like those found in online games?

"What’s the shouting for? Hurry up and go pee, quickly!" Yusuf glared at Fleur before rushing towards the direction indicated by the restaurant sign.

He was starving. He hadn’t eaten anything since last night, not a drop of water!

Fleur Carson was so scared by Yusuf Zuck that she couldn’t even pee, so when Yusuf Zuck ran ahead, she followed behind him. When she saw Yusuf Zuck enter the restaurant, she knew he was hungry.

"Get me something to eat. I’m starving to death. I can’t speak the local language."

"Neither can I, but I can speak English." Fleur Carson approached the bar and began to converse with the staff in English before taking out US Dollars to pay the bill.

He ordered fried rice with a hint of curry flavor. It wasn’t very tasty, but Yusuf Zuck still ate two portions and drank two cups of hot milk!

"Can you tell me how you got washed over here through the sewer?" Fleur Carson asked curiously.

"Washed my ass! I was squatting in the luggage hold overnight." Yusuf Zuck said with a mix of laughter and tears.

"Then how did you get into the luggage hold in the first place? How did you get through security, and how did you get out again? Hurry up and teach me this trick. From now on, I could just bring some food with me and travel all over the world, saving on airfare." Fleur Carson pressed on.

"Wanna know?" Yusuf Zuck said with a cheeky smile.

"Of course, spit it out."

"Actually, I didn’t get on the plane at all. Like you said, I crawled into a sewer in Beijing, and when I came out, I was in Jakarta. It’s a kind of magic you can’t learn!"

"I spit in your face, then how come you didn’t end up with a head full of shit?" Fleur Carson cursed.

"Let’s just go. Help me find someone in your way!" Yusuf Zuck grabbed her and left, not wanting to dwell on how he got to Jakarta any longer. The secret of being ’Invisible’ wasn’t something he couldn’t let Fleur Carson know, but not right now.

"If you don’t tell me, I won’t help you find them!" Fleur Carson threatened.

"Then I won’t return your money, and you can forget about the fifteen million dollars!"

"I- damn, you’re ruthless!" Fleur Carson muttered under her breath, then hailed a taxi and left, conversing with the taxi driver in English.

English is the international lingua franca; even Indonesian monkeys who drive taxis know it.

Yusuf Zuck was extremely frustrated since he couldn’t speak English. He only spoke Shandong dialect and Mandarin, and he could say a few words in Japanese, like sayonara and baka, which he had also learned from watching TV.

"Yusuf Zuck, the taxi driver hasn’t heard about the kidnapping. After we get to the hotel, I’ll check the internet again," Fleur Carson said to Yusuf Zuck after chatting with the taxi driver for a while. The driver, who often frequented the airport, hadn’t heard anything about a kidnapping involving a Chinese woman.

"Wait a minute. I’ll contact Mia’s dad; he should have the latest info about Mia. If we start looking haphazardly, we may not find her!" Yusuf Zuck said as he took out his phone and dialed the number Ruth Wilcox had given him.

After two rings, the phone was picked up with a voice as robust as ever: "This is Marco Tuff, who’s this?"

"Hello, Uncle Tuff. My name is Yusuf Zuck. I’m a friend of Mia and Ruth. I heard about Mia’s situation from Ruth, so I’ve come to Jakarta. Do you have any updates on Mia?"

Marco Tuff was stunned for a moment, as he hadn’t expected someone named Yusuf Zuck to come to Jakarta in person: "You’re in Jakarta? Then come to Shangri-La. After you get here, call me, and I’ll send someone to pick you up!"
