Chapter 1494: Chapter 1494: Piel Has Arrived
Three months isn’t a long time, but it’s certainly not short either.
Yusuf Zuck knew that after three months, he would be able to obtain the bloodline and Power of the giants from the heart, and perhaps... there was a very big chance that he could receive the heart’s inheritance.
Because the heart could sense him. And the moment it sensed him, it showed signs of revival.
He didn’t dare to leave Ivy Frost’s body again, because the ancestor had said that if the heart didn’t beat and Ivy Frost advanced to the Heavenly Master Territory within three months, only then could Ivy Frost enter. Therefore, during these three months, the heart was not allowed to beat.
Time sometimes passes fast, but other times it crawls, especially when you’re anticipating something—it feels like time moves even slower.
Yusuf Zuck calculated each day, enduring the agony, waiting, and anticipating...
He didn’t know what would happen after he absorbed the bloodline and Power of the giants from the heart, or what kind of level he would reach. But being able to absorb the Power of the giants and the giant spirit bloodline was his only quick path to ascend.
If he were to train using other methods, he could slowly grow stronger, but it would take an unimaginably long time—a process akin to a sapling growing into a towering ancient tree could only be measured in millennia.
...
In a flash, one month passed. In another flash, another month slipped by.
Yusuf Zuck gazed longingly at the stars and the moon, silently holding his ground.
However, when there were just around ten days remaining and Ivy Frost successfully reached the Heavenly Master Territory, and both of them were in the God Stone Space, there was a sudden *bang bang* sound coming from outside the God Stone Space.
It was the sound of someone knocking on the Divine Stone.
Yusuf Zuck thought it was Ivy Frost’s aunt returning, and Ivy Frost also believed it was her aunt. So, she leapt out.
Yet, as she jumped out, a large hand suddenly reached toward her. Ivy Frost couldn’t dodge in time, nor was there anywhere to evade, and she was firmly caught by that hand.
The night was pitch black; it was so dark that one couldn’t see their own hand. The sudden shock of this encounter nearly scared Ivy Frost out of her wits!
But when she hazily saw the face of the person who caught her, Ivy Frost froze for a moment.
It was that lecherous Saint Heir with eyes full of greed and violence, exuding a stench of bloodlust!
Two months ago, the Saint Heir had left the Soul World with a hundred men. But now, he was back, and here to capture her? What did he want with her?
"Master, master, wuwu, what do I do?" Ivy Frost was terrified, calling out for her master over and over.
Meanwhile, Yusuf Zuck was utterly shocked. What was this vampire Pier Ross up to? Did this scoundrel even have his own thoughts anymore? Did he still remember the past?
Clearly, the soul slave mark deep within Pier’s soul had disappeared long ago, so Yusuf couldn’t establish any spiritual connection or resonance with him.
"Huff—" As Ivy Frost trembled with fear, Pier suddenly stuck out his tongue to lick her neck, laughing maniacally, "Scream, go ahead! Scream your lungs out, and no one will come to help you. Soul World, Sacred Mountain—they’re mine, Pier Ross’s territory now! I’m the one who decides the future of this world!"
"No, no, stop, not here, don’t do this!" Ivy Frost screamed hysterically because Pier’s breath was foul, nearly making her retch.
Of course, at this moment, Yusuf Zuck sent her a telepathic message, instructing her to lure Pier into the God Stone Space.
"Haha, little girl scared of being seen? Then where would you prefer to go? I heard you want to go to the temple? Fine, I’ll take you to the temple, and then this Saint Heir will make you very, very happy!" Pier sneered, and true to his word, he stopped licking her.
"The Divine Stone—inside the Divine Stone—please, don’t let anyone see!" the little girl pleaded.
"Hahaha, alright." Pier giggled sinisterly as he stepped inside the God Stone Space with a single stride.
The inside of the Divine Stone wasn’t particularly large—about two meters on each side, just enough room for a bed. It was bare and empty.
As soon as Pier stepped into the God Stone Space, he released Ivy Frost and blocked the entrance, his expression turning ghastly as he spoke, "Don’t blame me, little girl. The ancestor ordered me to claim your pure essence."
"I don’t blame you, I don’t blame you! But could you sit and talk with me a while? This way, I won’t be so scared?" Ivy Frost shrank back into the corner as she spoke.
"Hahaha, the more frightened you are, the stronger my urge to dominate. But tell me, what do you want to chat about?" Pier wore a flowing cloak; though he wasn’t handsome, his attire was striking.
"Why did you come back so quickly? Did you find that person?" Ivy Frost asked.
"That person? Hahaha." Hearing Ivy Frost’s question, Pier laughed, but then his expression turned savage as he lowered his voice, "I’ll be honest—you want me to tell you the truth? The Saint Heir didn’t even go searching for that person. I just wandered around outside and let those hundred men look for him!"
"What? Why wouldn’t you go search? Don’t you dare defy the ancestor’s and Saint Master’s orders!" Ivy Frost asked, repeating exactly what Yusuf Zuck had taught her to say.
"Defy their orders? Hmph!" Pier snorted coldly, "The ancestor and Saint Master are treading on the path to ruin! Do you even understand what that means? They want me to track down *that* person? Do you have any idea who that person is? Do you know just how twisted he is? How terrifying he is? You don’t know anything about him or... me. Asking me to find him—I value my life too much for that!"
"Why?" Ivy Frost asked, clearly puzzled.
"Little sister, your questions are too many to deal with. This Saint Heir will take pleasure in silencing you—the old witch already disgusted me to my core; I need you to restore my balance!" Pier decided not to divulge further, fearing he might expose too much, so he spoke while lunging toward Ivy Frost.
Ivy Frost let out a loud scream and quickly said, "Don’t touch me! I know the person you’re looking for!"
*Whoosh* Pier’s hands were about to grab her arms, but when her words fell, Pier’s hands froze mechanically mid-air, his eyebrows furrowing in astonishment.
"You know who I’m looking for?" Pier squinted his eyes at her.
"His surname is Yusuf—isn’t it?" Ivy Frost shouted boldly.
*Whoosh* Pier suddenly staggered backward, retreating to the entrance, his demeanor shifting to one of terror. The fact that the Giant Spirit God’s descendant bore the surname Yusuf was known only to the ancestor, Saint Master, Saint Maiden, and himself, and this detail was a closely guarded secret. Yet Ivy Frost had blurted it out?
"How do you know? Speak up now!" Pier demanded fiercely.
"I won’t say. But I know him—what are you going to do now? Still dare to touch me?" Ivy Frost gritted her teeth as she spoke.
"I...I..." Pier stammered, struggling to address the revelation as he gazed at Ivy Frost with a complex expression. "You... you really know him? But how? It’s impossible—you’ve never left the Soul World! How could you possibly know him?"
"He’s right here in the Soul World. I even met him once before. Didn’t you see I’ve undergone Supreme Evolution? That was granted to me by him! He also told me before that the Saint Heir here is Pier Ross, who was once merely an ordinary vampire!" Ivy Frost replied.
"Ross?" Pier was startled yet again. Even the ancestor didn’t know he was of the Ross Family—he was Pier Ross of the Ross Family. Yet Ivy Frost had revealed this truth.
"You? Supreme Evolution? Granted by him? He’s in the Soul World? You’re here? Pier Ross..." Pier’s complexion twisted incessantly, as he stared at Ivy Frost with widened eyes, repeating her words like a mantra.
But within just two breaths, Pier made an astonishing move.
*Thud* He suddenly fell to his knees before Ivy Frost.
"Master... Master... Are you here? Your most loyal Pier is easily spooked and can’t handle your surprises. If you’re here, please show yourself!" This cunning creature, having lived countless years, had reached a startling realization.
