Chapter 1479: The Cost

Chapter 1479: Chapter 1479: The Cost

Rumor has it that the Giant Spirit God Slave is unparalleled in strength and extraordinary. His Huge Spirit Divine Power pierces through the heavens and the earth, and some even claim that the Giant Spirit God Slave is actually more powerful than the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor. However, the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor possesses the means to control the Giant Spirit God Slave and seal his growth, which is why throughout the countless ages, the Giant Spirit God Slave has faithfully served under the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor, executing all his commands with utmost loyalty.

The might of the Giant Spirit God Slave is universally recognized. Legend has it that he wields countless Divine Skills, mastering the Five Elements, Yin and Yang, Wind and Thunder, transformations beyond imagination, and more. It is precisely because of the Giant Spirit God Slave that the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor reigns supreme among the Five Heavenly Emperors, feared even by the ancient gods of old.

Moreover, for many years, the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor has deliberately suppressed the growth of the Giant Spirit God Slave, fearing that one day he might lose control and that the Giant Spirit God Slave would turn against him.

However, now the Giant Spirit God Slave suddenly attacks the God Archer without orders from the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor. This act alone equals rebellion; at least in this moment, he appears outside of the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor’s control.

His speed is blindingly fast, and before anyone could react, he had already grabbed Yusuf Zuck in one hand while engaging the Great God Archer in combat with the other.

"Boom—" As their clash erupts, the violent energy waves ripple outward, collapsing the void itself. The Great God Archer staggers backward three steps before catching his balance.

In contrast, the Giant Spirit God Slave remains utterly motionless.

In just one exchange, the victor is clear.

"Giant Spirit, how dare you?" The Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor furiously ascends into the sky, while the other Heavenly Emperor elites also leap upward.

"Roar—Roar, roar, roar—" The Giant Spirit God Slave’s eyes burn blood-red at this moment, as if he has lost all reason. His body ignites, and the chains binding him crackle relentlessly.

"No one can harm him. No one can harm my kin. Go..." He extends his hand once again, tearing viciously at the void. Instantly, countless layers open within the void, birthing one black hole after another, endless and infinitely deep.

"Swish." He pushes Yusuf Zuck into one of the black holes.

"How dare you..."

"Kill him..."

"Hmph, no one can allow him to escape..."

"Revolt! Revolt! Old Green Cloud, your slave is revolting!"

"He cannot be left alive! He must be killed! The Giant Spirit Clan should not exist in this world. Taking him as a slave was a grave mistake from the start!"

"Indeed, kill him!"

The other divine elites erupt in fury and indignation. The Giant Spirit Clan is far too terrifying, and their existence poses a threat to the ancient gods. Some individuals, harboring grievances against the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor, naturally seize this opportunity to advocate for the immediate execution of the Giant Spirit God Slave. With his death, the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor would lose his greatest ally, effectively crippling him.

Jealousy against the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor runs deep among those present, and the uproar grows louder and more intense with every shout.

"Tenfold Curse, Binding God." The Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor trembles with rage, weaving incantations swiftly. The chains wrapped around the Giant Spirit God Slave begin to constrict and tighten, pressing against his bones with audible cracks.

At this moment, the Great God Archer, Jeremiah Colon, and Reagan Merritt move from three directions simultaneously, aiming to dash toward the black hole.

There’s no way they will let Yusuf Zuck get away.

"Roar..." Crushed by pain from his tightening restraints, the Giant Spirit God Slave roars, stumbling back as he positions his massive body directly in front of the black hole, guarding its closure.

Meanwhile, his eyes blaze with fury as he mutters lowly to Yusuf Zuck, whom he has sent into the black hole: "Remember, the Giant Spirit Clan reigns supreme. This sky above, this earth below, they are merely nutrients for our growth. We are not the Heavenly Dao; we are its creators. Remember this... No one shall enslave us. No one... Go, go as far as you can. Someday, when your hands can hold up the heavens and your feet tread upon the earth, come back—return to show them the strength of our Giant Spirit Clan, so they may witness that we are not slaves, but masters of all existence."

"Snap, snap, snap—" The chains emit furious cracking sounds. Suddenly, he grins, his body growing taller and larger. When his colossal palm strikes out, the heavens and earth shudder, and all those present feel as if they are standing atop a storm-tossed ship, their bodies unstable and swaying.

"This is bad; this slave seeks to break my seal! Everyone assist me in slaying him immediately," the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor screeches relentlessly, chanting incantations frantically and shooting out divine seals.

Meanwhile, the combined attacks of the Great God Archer, Jeremiah Colon, and Reagan Merritt collide against the Giant Spirit God Slave’s palm once more. Yet this time, all three are sent rolling backward.

Determined, the Giant Spirit God Slave blocks anyone from entering the rapidly closing black hole.

But he burns himself—not his Life Essence Blood, but his very life force.

Yusuf Zuck spins dazedly within the black hole, watching the towering silhouette of the Giant Spirit God Slave. In this moment, his eyes mist over.

He understands now: the Giant Spirit God Slave treats him as kin, willing to sacrifice his life to send him away, ensuring that he isn’t killed.

But the slave—a slave controlled by the Green Cloud Heavenly Emperor—has rebelled, and rebellion only spells certain death.

Yusuf Zuck sees no more of the following battle, but as the black hole finally closes, he glimpses a sky fired with Magic Treasures, Divine Skills cascading through the heavens, and the Giant Spirit God Slave bleeding profusely from his seven orifices.

"Remember, the Giant Spirit Clan reigns supreme..." The echo of his words lingers in Yusuf Zuck’s ears even though he can no longer see him.

Layer upon layer of the void shatters open countless gateways. The Giant Spirit God Slave is set on sending Yusuf Zuck far, far away, tearing open dimension after dimension.

Perhaps a second passes. Perhaps an eternity. Yusuf Zuck’s body suddenly feels weightless—the black hole’s transport force dissipates, leaving him suspended in a vast, endless starry sky.

His mind is consumed by images of the Giant Spirit God Slave: his towering form, his thundering voice, the sight of the ancient gods launching relentless attacks against him.

"Huff—Ahhhh..." Yusuf Zuck suddenly springs up, screaming wildly into the void.

Though he had never crossed paths with him before today... inexplicably, Yusuf Zuck feels an unbearable sorrow suffusing his soul.

At the mention of the word "kin," Yusuf Zuck is certain now. The Giant Spirit God Slave and he share the same essence—in the depths of the Giant Spirit God Slave’s soul lies either a Giant Spirit Seed or its sprout.

They are allies in destiny—perhaps even family.

But can the Giant Spirit God Slave survive?

"Huff..." Yusuf Zuck forces himself to chill his emotions, stabilizing in the starry void. His gaze grows frigid and resolute.

"Rest assured, someday, I will let the world know the strength of the Giant Spirit Clan." With those words, Yusuf Zuck breaks through layers of void, speeding away.

The Giant Spirit God Slave sacrificed his very life to send him away. Yusuf Zuck cannot let that sacrifice be in vain. Now is not the time for mourning—it is time to keep fleeing, far and farther still. Someday, he vows to return, and when that day comes, he will make them understand the price they cannot afford to pay.
