Chapter 1464: Chapter 1464: All Were Captured
Yusuf Zuck did not reveal himself but remained hidden, secretly observing. This world was peculiar, and its inhabitants equally so, prompting him to avoid exposing himself before figuring out his location.
The beggar-like small giant lacked any discernible cultivation aura—at least Yusuf Zuck couldn’t determine his rank.
About two hours later, the small giant, having eaten and drunk his fill, sat cross-legged and stared at his ten chicken claw-like fingers.
At this moment, his hands had transformed into chicken claws. All the flesh and tendons had been gnawed clean, leaving only ten bare finger bones, still smeared with fresh blood.
"Sigh, ate them again. Who knows when this will end?" the small giant grumbled, then suddenly puffed up his cheeks and blew hard onto his hands!
A miracle occurred in that instant. As he exhaled, the ten chicken claw bones began to regenerate at a speed visible to the naked eye. In less than two breaths, a pair of flawless, unblemished hands had grown back, showing no signs of prior injury.
Yusuf Zuck smacked his lips in amazement. He had learned a new trick—if he ever craved meat desperately later on, he could barbecue his own hands and simply regrow the flesh and blood. It wouldn’t be such a big deal.
However, the psychological fear of doing so would be unbearable for most people.
With his hands restored, the small giant grinned, pulled out a blade of grass, and began picking his teeth, dislodging bits of meat stuck in his gaps. Half-lounging comfortably, he squinted his eyes, crossed his legs, and hummed a tune.
The night passed quickly. As dawn broke, the small giant rose and strode through the thorny forest. Occasionally, he would pick fruits from towering trees or munch on plant seeds.
Yusuf Zuck followed behind him, the two forming a front-and-back pair. It took them seven whole days to finally arrive at a vast forest lake. The lake’s waters were crystal clear, yet oddly, not a single fish was seen jumping.
Like a charging bull, the small giant drank furiously, then gazed into the distance.
At this moment, Yusuf Zuck also looked ahead, for he and the small giant simultaneously noticed two black dots racing toward them from the lake’s horizon.
It was a man and a woman—one chasing and one fleeing—separated by no more than a hundred meters.
Soon enough, the man and woman arrived within a kilometer of the small giant, then came to a standstill, maintaining their distance but watching the small giant with heightened vigilance.
"Ha! I finally see people again! Are you humans? Really? Come on over and let me take a bite!" The small giant danced with excitement, as though he hadn’t seen others in ages.
"Phew~" The man and woman both exhaled sharply. Then suddenly, the woman clasped her fists toward the small giant and pleaded, "Fellow cultivator, help me!"
"Hmph! You’re mine!" The man following her, looking to be in his thirties, sported a pair of pencil-thin mustaches and a sword at his waist. As he snorted angrily, he drew his Treasure Sword and swung it at the woman.
The woman gritted her teeth and defended herself, clashing with the mustached man. Their cultivation levels were similar, but the man held a slight edge over the woman.
The small giant was momentarily stunned, watching the two start fighting again. He suddenly bellowed, "What’s going on with you two? Stop it now! Whatever grievances or disputes you have, I’ll help mediate!"
"None of your business!" the mustached man said coldly.
"Oh really? Not my business? Well, I say it is!" The small giant stomped his feet and shot toward the mustached man like a cannonball.
The mustached man seemed prepared for this. Seeing the small giant charge forward, he flicked his wrist and struck out with one hand toward him.
"Bang!" The two clashed briefly before bouncing apart, both retreating—seven steps for the small giant, six for the mustached man.
The mustached man was actually stronger than the small giant.
More importantly, Yusuf Zuck’s heart was pounding wildly, because... because... judging from the energy used during their skirmishes, all three individuals wielded power surpassing that of Controllers.
Indeed, the cultivation realm of these three surpassed that of Controllers.
Yusuf Zuck was bewildered. What... what kind of place was this?
"Benefactor..." Upon seeing the small giant step in to save her, the woman immediately tried to rush toward him.
Yet the small giant, despite his large size, wasn’t foolish or naive. As the woman approached, he suddenly raised his hand and shouted, "Don’t come near me! I’m allergic to women."
"Uh..." The woman stopped abruptly, and the three formed a standoff.
"Benefactor, thank you. This man with the mustache is a wicked devil; he tried to **** me." The woman began explaining the reason behind her fight with the mustached man.
"Hmph! It’s your fortune that I fancy you for dual cultivation. Daring to dodge me, escape from me? Foolish woman! And you, big oaf—do you even know who I am? Do you know who my father is?"
The small giant dug into his ear and replied, "Why don’t you tell me?"
"The Element World. Hugo Olson. My father is Armani Olson of the Element World—you’ve heard of him, haven’t you? So how dare you interfere with what I desire?" The mustached man seemed to have some background, claiming to be the young master of the Element World.
"Element World? Yeah, I’ve heard of that—it’s a land run by a bunch of bastards. Heh, but I’ve never heard of your dad!" The small giant sneered.
"Hmph, you’ll find out eventually." The mustached man snorted coldly. "So let me warn you—stay far away from this."
"Got it." The small giant thought for a moment, then said, "You came across this woman, decided to force her into dual cultivation, right? She refused, so she fled, and you gave chase, correct?"
"Indeed. It’s her fortune that I wish to dual cultivate with her." The mustached man replied coldly.
"Holy sh*t, you’re bold," the small giant said, giving a thumbs-up before suddenly curling his lips. "But I can’t ignore injustice when I see it. What can you do about it?"
"Hmph, you’ll regret this!" The mustached man was also quick-witted. Realizing that if the small giant decided to intervene, he wouldn’t stand a chance against the combined strength of the two, he turned and left.
"Thank you, big brother, for saving me," the woman said, bowing in gratitude toward the small giant.
"Save your thanks for later. Let me ask you—what is this place? Where are you from?" The small giant was still baffled about this location.
"I don’t know where this place is, but I come from the Other Side Realm. What about you, Benefactor?" The woman asked curiously.
"Me?" The small giant muttered strangely, "I don’t know where I’m from either."
"Wait, you don’t even know where you live?" The woman looked at him with confusion.
"I used to live in the mountains. Then, one day, a hand descended from the heavens and sent me to this godforsaken place."
"Ah? You were brought here by an enormous hand descending from the sky? Me too!" The woman exclaimed, covering her mouth in shock.
At this moment, Yusuf Zuck, eavesdropping from his hiding spot, was utterly stunned. Both the woman and the small giant had been brought here by that same hand? What was going on?
"Hmm? Someone else is coming?" Suddenly, in the distance, a streak of light shot forward. As the radiance halted, a figure appeared in its wake.
When Yusuf Zuck saw the individual, his eyebrows raised instantly.
It was Landyn Torres!
He was here too!
