Chapter 1443: Chapter 1442: Heavenly Demon Imperial Clan

Eight shadows descended from the void, their arrival darkening even the sky.

A chilly yin energy swept through the air, sending shivers down spines. Many of those with lower cultivation levels in the square felt their body hair stand on end, their teeth chattering as their entire bodies began trembling!

This was a coldness — eerie, bone-chilling, penetrating to the marrow.

Yusuf Zuck’s eyebrows arched sharply as he gripped the Celestial Staff tightly. These eight founding ancestors of The Eight Great Families had barely arrived but brought with them an oppressive aura of dread and intimidation.

Of course, Yusuf Zuck was unafraid. After a brief moment of thought, he gave his wrist a subtle twist, causing the Celestial Staff to suddenly emit infinite rays of light.

While the staff was jet-black, in this moment, it shone as brilliantly as the noon sun.

The Celestial Staff, born of pure yang energy, was the bane of yin and cold forces, created specifically to counteract such chilling energies.

"Greetings, Ancestors!"

"Greetings, Ancestors!"

Landyn Torres knelt. The Eight Great Clan Leaders knelt. Every expert from The Eight Great Families and every master of the first-class families knelt. All the spectators in the square, as well as the surrounding guards—without exception—fell to their knees!

Kneeling here symbolized both submission and respect. Before the founding patriarchs of The Eight Great Families, no one dared to defy, and no one dared to withhold reverence.

After the Ancient Era came to an end, these eight founders had risen to prominence amid a time of chaos, uniting the Heavenly Realm and reigning over it for an entire epoch.

The terror and awe inspired by these eight patriarchs were not mere rumors or boasts; they were forged in blood and conquest.

In an age of unrivaled heroes and countless mighty factions, these eight had risen above all others to claim dominion over the Heavenly Realm. It wasn’t luck or opportunism—it was sheer, unmatched ability!

As the massive crowd knelt, the sight was awe-inspiring. It must be understood—there were no less than a million souls gathered within and around Sunset Square. The sheer scale of the kneeling masses gave rise to a deafening chorus, as if mountains were splitting and seas were roaring. Some even prostrated themselves fully, demonstrating the utmost veneration for these eight supreme figures.

Even Karson Schwartz, upon glimpsing the eight shadows, felt an unconscious urge to bend her knees. But before she could kneel, Yusuf Zuck reached out and pulled her up.

His woman had no reason to kneel for anyone else. No one was worthy of her submission!

The eight shadows were hazy and indistinct, their figures flickering and unreal. Their appearances remained obscured, their gazes unseen, their expressions unreadable.

As Yusuf Zuck narrowed his eyes, the Eye of Heaven activated automatically, sweeping over these eight ghosts!

Indeed, they were like ghosts—neither fully human nor completely otherworldly. They were nothing short of specters!

Through the Eye of Heaven’s gaze, Yusuf Zuck’s lips curled upward sharply. These eight shadows weren’t their true bodies; they were merely spiritual energy projections given form.

It explained the eerie chill in the air. Spiritual projections like these felt ghostly by nature, and their bone-deep coldness served only to mask the fact that their actual bodies had not arrived.

With this realization, Yusuf Zuck arrogantly flicked his lapel and said, "You eight, let me be blunt—are you handing over the Heavenly Patching Stone, or not?"

"Ah..."

"Does he dare act so brazenly?"

"He directly demanded it!"

"His audacity knows no bounds!"

"He didn’t kneel."

"What a madman, what a madman!"

The Eight Founding Patriarchs were bound to erupt with genuine fury.

Countless people inwardly wailed. This Yusuf Zuck was ridiculously bold. Facing the Eight Founding Patriarchs, not only did he refuse to kneel, but he outright demanded the Heavenly Patching Stone!

No, it wasn’t a request at all—it was a blatant threat. He relied on his formidable cultivation to essentially rob them in broad daylight!

The atmosphere became exceedingly tense. Everyone remained kneeling and silent, straining their ears to eavesdrop yet not daring to utter a word.

Yusuf Zuck waited for the Eight Great Clan Leaders’ response. Of course, during this tense moment, he exercised extreme caution. These eight were true paragons of their time. To rule the Heavenly Realm for so long and to remain sovereigns even now, they undoubtedly possessed overwhelming power. Though their true bodies were absent, Yusuf Zuck still wouldn’t dare underestimate them, mentally preparing himself for a swift escape if necessary.

"Hahaha." Suddenly, after a brief stalemate, one of the eight patriarchs burst into hearty laughter. "Young friend Yusuf, patience for but a moment." As he spoke, a massive hand shot out from among the eight, extending into a corner of the square!

"Whoosh—" Everyone’s gaze followed the trajectory of that hand. Soon, they saw a young man being dragged up into the air while three robed figures around him scrambled to their feet!

"Buzz—" The young man initially tried to resist, but compared to the massive hand, he was like an ant. The moment the hand pinched him gently, he froze in midair, completely unable to move!

The three black-robed figures, upon witnessing this, fell to their knees in terror, kowtowing feverishly as they screamed, "Spare us, Patriarch, spare us!"

Yusuf Zuck recognized the young man immediately. He was the Celestial Beast Emperor of the Southeastern Rebel Army. The three black-robed figures were likely the army’s top generals.

However, the giant hand did not harm these three generals. It simply withdrew, carrying the so-called Celestial Beast Emperor up into the skies above the square’s center.

"A mere Celestial Beast dares to stir unrest? Back in our day, when the eight of us dominated the Heavenly Realm, even your Celestial Beast Imperial Clan had to pay tribute to our Eight Families. How pitiful—once we entered the God’s Altar and ceased appearing in public, you assumed we could no longer emerge. Did you think you could snatch a share of the Mainland for yourselves? Your calculations are sorely mistaken. Go back and tell ’Gilad’ that if he dares to challenge us, he can come fight us directly. No more petty schemes that bring nothing but shame!"

"Hehehe..." Suddenly, the Celestial Beast Emperor let out a low, sinister chuckle. A golden light flashed on his forehead, and with a tremor, he flung the patriarch’s hand off with a loud *crack*!

The patriarch, along with the others, let out a synchronized sound of surprise.

"Pharaoh, you’re right. Indeed, I will face you again. Ten years from now, I will descend upon the Heavenly Continent!" The Celestial Beast Emperor spoke in a deep, otherworldly voice. Clearly, he was no longer himself—his body had been possessed. And the possessor was none other than Gilad!

"So, you’ve arrived as well!" The Pharaoh raised an eyebrow.

"Not just me. A number of old acquaintances are also here today!" As soon as the Celestial Beast Emperor finished speaking, several figures leapt into the air from various corners of the square. Despite being in Eternal City, they were unaffected by its flight-restricting barrier.

Those who flew into the air were ordinary divine citizens, but their gazes held an icy malevolence. Clearly, these were powerful Divine Skills practitioners possessing others from afar with their Divine Consciousness.

"Might I trouble you for your names, so that I may know which old friends we’re dealing with?" the Pharaoh said coolly.

"Heh, I am Sabi!"

"I am Ali Buck!"

"I am Jamie Barron!"

"Pharaoh, you bunch of old fossils—we shall return in ten years!"

"Very well, very well. It seems your Heavenly Demon Imperial Clan has made contact with the ancient ancestors of the gods. Then come. Ten years from now, we shall see whether the world belongs to The Eight Great Families or to you!"

"It’s a promise, then. Farewell!"

"Farewell!" With that, the four—including the Celestial Beast Emperor—cast one last glance at Yusuf Zuck before tearing open a rift in space and vanishing.

"You fucking bastards! Come back so I can fuck your mothers!" Yusuf Zuck pointed at the disappearing figures and cursed loudly!

"Pfft!" The four, just about to step into the void, nearly spat blood. Halting at the threshold, one of them turned back and growled, "You insolent whelp! Mark my words—one day, you’ll kneel before me!"

"Whoosh—" With that, the four entered the rift and disappeared completely.
