Chapter 1236: Chapter 1235: Hugh Zuck Was Sold
Yusuf Zuck hadn’t been able to discern exactly what tribulation the child had crossed, but after his ordeal, his cultivation level had surged. He wasn’t in the Transcendance Tribulation Stage, nor was he an Immortal; it seemed as if he had mutated into something extraordinary, beyond both the ordinary and the ethereal!
"Father, where are we?" asked Hugh Zuck, who had just crossed the tribulation, flying over to Yusuf Zuck, then bowing respectfully with his fists clasped.
"I’m not sure myself, just follow me," Yusuf Zuck said with a wave of his hand before flying forward. He intended to leave Hugh Zuck here, and besides himself, no one would know that Hugh was his son, therefore no formidable enemies would be attracted.
The two flew forward together, and after about six or seven hours, they arrived above a super planet where everyone was engaged in cultivation. They didn’t possess a Nascent Soul within their Dantian; all they had was a vigorous and fierce aura.
Hugh Zuck, having just completed his tribulation, found his aura somewhat resembling those people.
"You always wanted to go out and see the world, didn’t you? So, starting from now, I will leave you here, then ascend to the Heavenly Realm. Perhaps we will never meet again in this lifetime, and from now on, your life will depend solely on yourself."
"Father, you... I... but..." Hugh Zuck panicked upon hearing this; he still had his wife and children back in Blue Sea and Cloud Sky, not to mention his mother. What was he supposed to experience in this place? How much better would it be for the whole family to be together?
Though Hugh Zuck wasn’t young, his son was already an adult; his life thus far had been very simple. In Yusuf’s eyes, he was still a child, and even Hugh himself thought of himself as a child.
His eyes reddened, wanting to plead with Yusuf, but after opening his mouth, he couldn’t say anything. He knew his father’s character – he was a man of his word. If he said he would leave him here, then that’s exactly what he’d do!
"Don’t use the Heavenly Slayer Sword unless absolutely necessary, that’s all I have to say. Son, I hope you carve out a world of your own!" After patting Hugh Zuck’s shoulder, Yusuf suddenly tore open the fabric of space and vanished in an instant.
Hugh Zuck knelt down, tears streaming down his face, bowing repeatedly in the direction where Yusuf had disappeared.
However, how could Yusuf really leave? He was only doing this to make Hugh adapt to surviving on his own, to feel like he had no one to lean on, that he must rely on himself for everything. Thus, Yusuf flew from one side and tore open the fabric of space from another direction, emerging again, quickly transforming into a small old man, and entering the planet.
Yusuf wouldn’t leave until Hugh had fully adapted to this society, and he himself needed to understand everything about this place.
Of course, his telekinesis was always locked on Hugh Zuck. It could be said that if Hugh were ever in mortal danger, Yusuf would be there to rescue him at a moment’s notice.
...
Three days later, Yusuf had come to understand everything about this planet, including its civilization, the name of this world, its cultivation techniques, and all its legends.
This place was called Dante Stewart Realm, in fact, one of the realms within the Three Thousand Immortal Realms. This planet was called Dante Stewart, the Central Star of the Dante Stewart Realm. Here, everyone honed their physical bodies. The strongest among them could shatter the void with their physical might, ascending to godhood, and their bodies were as hard as steel. It was said that some could shatter planets with a headbutt.
Furthermore, the Immortals here were called Saints, not Immortals. For example, the lowest class was ’ordinary humans,’ meaning they would ’enter sainthood.’ Then there were ranks like Earth Saint, Heavenly Saint, Immortal Saint, and God Saint.
In short, while the cultivation system here differed from the Immortal Realm he was familiar with, it too was structured in layers and levels.
After blending in for three days, Yusuf took over a small tavern and became the tavern’s Old Man Zuck.
As for Hugh Zuck, after three days, he was still aimlessly wandering the wilderness, utterly bewildered.
Yusuf Zuck was not in a hurry at all. Having just left home, away from the relatives who sheltered him, from his parents, from his wife and child, it would’ve been strange if he wasn’t feeling lost.
On the seventh day, Hugh Zuck ran into a team of Hunters, and then this kid also turned out to be blessed by his stupidity; one of the hunters gave him food, and later, he joined their team.
On the eleventh day, the hunter team encountered a huge beast, not much different from a Demon Cultivator. The team leader ordered a rapid retreat, and while everyone was fleeing, this stupid kid charged forward and slapped the beast to death. After that, the whole hunter team was dumbstruck.
Hugh Zuck just scratched his head and laughed foolishly, a sight Yusuf Zuck couldn’t bear to look at directly.
This kid did not know how to hide his strength, he had shown his edge, and it looked like he wouldn’t fit in with the squad any longer.
And indeed, the team had a leader, who that very night, sought out Hugh Zuck, claiming that Hugh Zuck should have a vast space for development, and that staying with their small team was a waste of talent.
Hugh Zuck couldn’t tell the good from the bad, but Yusuf Zuck knew that this was an indirect way of driving him off. The stupid child was too powerful, overshadowing the leader’s edge—how could they let him stay?
And so, Hugh Zuck left, quite bewildered and not understanding why.
Yusuf Zuck had always been an observer, sitting in the small tavern every day, keeping track of everything Hugh Zuck did, who he talked to, and what he did each day; Yusuf Zuck was crystal clear about it all.
Of course, Hugh Zuck, lost as he was, wasn’t incapable of surviving. If others wouldn’t let him join the hunter team, then he would hunt on his own. In seven days’ time, he killed all the Demon Cultivators within nearly ten thousand miles.
Yusuf Zuck held his forehead, thinking this kid was just asking for trouble. If you kill all the prey, what were the others supposed to hunt?
However, the kid really was incredibly strong. If his strength were to be classified by the cultivation levels of this world, he would be at least at the level of a Heavenly Saint, first or second grade.
And the Heavenly Saint level was the highest level in this world. After reaching Heavenly Saint twelfth grade, one would shatter the void with their physical body.
After wiping out all prey within ten thousand miles, Hugh Zuck went to a small town, then piled all his game outside it.
It was a literal mountain of game, which immediately caused a stir; the entire town was boiling with excitement. There were other hunter teams in town, and upon seeing the mountainous pile of game, their faces turned green. Who was this blockhead?
Perhaps due to spending a few days with the hunter team, Hugh Zuck knew that game could be exchanged for money, but he didn’t know how much they were actually worth, so he would sell one piece of game for a silver coin, and also for a gold coin.
In the end, many people in town realized he was a simpleton. Then the profiteers appeared, bringing a crowd of people—dashing men, elegant women, steward, and servants. The profiteer whispered something to that crowd, then handed over two large sacks of copper coins to Hugh Zuck, spoke some words with the young masters and mistresses, then with Hugh Zuck, seemingly confirming something between the three parties. However, once Hugh Zuck saw a bag full of money, he was so happy he couldn’t close his mouth, nodding at everything others said.
In the end, the profiteer took away half of the game.
Then, a steward from the group of elegantly dressed men and women counted the game, gathered it, and gesturing at Hugh Zuck, indicated for him to follow.
Hugh Zuck understood nothing, and yet he truthfully followed them, plodding along behind them!
Sitting in the tavern of the largest city on this super planet, Yusuf Zuck downed his drink in one gulp and mirthlessly said, "Oh, you foolish kid, that profiteer has sold you!"
Yes, the profiteer not only cheated Hugh Zuck out of half of his game, but he had also directly sold Hugh Zuck!
