Her heart leapt wildly. He even had the nerve to ask which kind? That was utterly shameless!

"You know what I mean." She definitely wouldn’t say.

His smirk deepened, "How would I know? I just wanted to ask you out to see a movie."

"You... you’re shameless," Xinan bit out angrily, "You clearly meant something else. You did it on purpose!"

Cheng Yi shrugged, appearing very innocent, "I really did mean just that."

His brow raised slightly, and the corners of his mouth curled into a gentle arc, his voice trailing, "Or perhaps, did you think it meant something else?"

Seeing his mischievous smile, Xinan was sure he was doing this on purpose, so of course, she wouldn’t admit to anything, "No, I wasn’t thinking anything."

"Really?"

"Of course!"

"Okay then, maybe I just thought too much," Cheng Yi stared at her puffy cheeks for a while, then asked, "So, would you like to go see a movie with me tonight?"

Without a second thought, Xinan flatly refused, "No."

Seeing the resolute look on Xinan’s face, Cheng Yi knew he had gone too far.

"No."

Xinan took the phone and thought for a while.

There was a new phone model that had just been released, added to cart.

If the phone was being upgraded, then it might as well be the same for her tablet and computer, added to cart.

Cheng Yi chuckled lowly, "Then, will you go to see a movie with me?"

Cheng Yi added, "If you don’t say anything, I’ll take that as a yes."

Eventually, Xinan was coaxed by Cheng Yi into leaving the house. The movie tickets were bought by him, and so were the snacks and drinks; Cheng Yi was treating her like a princess.

But the movie was chosen by Xinan, considering the awkwardness last time, so this time she picked a drama film.
