Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?! -
Chapter 344 - 344 - Waiting Period
My next two weeks were mostly spent inside the academe grounds. I need to attend the classes that I enrolled to which made my schedule really tight from Tuesdays to Fridays. I also have to study well at least since passing academic units is equal to more academe points and in turn more money by the time I graduate.
I made it a point to have my breakfasts and dinners with the guys in the academe villa. It was the only time available in our busy schedules for all of us to see each other and have a delicious meal while talking about both necessary and mundane topics.
As for all my Friday nights, I spent them in bed with Dimitri as promised and as part of my sincere apology to the guy. On the other hand, my Saturdays were half spent being with Kayden, making sure that I bring him all of the food he was craving for. While the other half, I used to spend some alone time with Lark too since they are in the same place.
I also squeezed in my Saturdays, the handling of any business needs and any employee concerns that needed to be discussed for the Moonlight Block. And while I'm at it, I also made sure that the Starlight block was being built based on the plan I gave them while being still on schedule.
Since I have already discovered the misunderstandings caused by not telling Dimitri about the birth control seal earlier, I made it the point that at the end of that same week, I also explained about it to Kayden and Lark to resolve any questions or misconceptions that they may have about their health and fertility during my visit.
As expected, the conversations ended with me being scolded (and hit a bit), them crying their hearts out and eventually them feeling relieved that nothing is wrong with their bodies. I never thought that withholding what I thought was an unimportant detail will cause such a situation. I made sure to apologize sincerely as well.
My Sundays were half spent in Eieneos to give time to play with my twins and their father, Ioannis. We have already settled our differences with the help of my mother so we as a married couple, are back to our sweet and naughty selves.
The other half was spent in the world tree realm, spending most of my time with Laerad. He did not have food cravings or any sort but whenever I visit him, he absorbs a huge chunk of my essences to support his pregnancy. Before you mind goes crazy, he can do it with a mere kiss, touch of a hand or just being near me. Of course, his most preferred one is going crazy in the bedroom.
I also have to handle some world tree realm affairs and make rounds in the new living areas with him. I have also advised Laerad to follow this task delegation type of management. As I have advised, he did the same by assigning leaders for each race or tribe. In turn, he only needs to meet those assigned leaders, making it less stressful for him to manage everything.
While I am in Eieneos, I also have regular and lengthy meetings with Samir, Luxiel, Touya and Altair on how we can better improve the kingdom in terms of securing a stable source of income and making the place more livable. Honestly, most parts of the kingdom had seen better days and being left unattended for more than four centuries has really taken a toll on all the infrastructure and even the soil quality.
Though I have given them a ton of tasks, I also made sure to thank the four of them for all the work they have done to rebuild their parts of the territory. They dismissed my thanks since as heirs of their household, it was something expected for them to do.
Another topic covered in our meeting was securing a stable food source for the kingdom. Though mystiques don't really rely on food all the time, my fiancés know that I am quite the foodie so it was something that they considered. We made more concrete plans and also delegated tasks so we can finish rebuilding the kingdom at the shortest time possible.
It seems that waking all four of them up has brought a ton of benefits for me since it greatly decreased the work that I had to do for Eieneos. As for their issues with each other, I just let them handle it among themselves. They can fight like children if they want to.
Once the whole kingdom is ready and frankly, just more livable overall, we can start bringing back citizens. More citizens mean more mystiques supporting and protecting the existence of the kingdom. It will also ease some of the burden of providing all our mana to support the kingdom.
I allowed the four of them to leave Eieneos and walk through the human realm to find the souls of our lost people as well as mark those that are living in human bodies that I have not marked before. It will indeed be easier to do this if there were five of us looking for those people with golden sparkles of light in their aura.
I recently learned from my parents and the four other mystiques that I actually didn't need to wait for the human bodies hosting the souls of the Eieneos citizens to die of natural causes to complete my mission. I was actually relieved that my mission will never involve catching souls or ghosts and definitely not killing anybody to take their souls by force.
It turns out that there is a way to awaken the soul's memories which in turn will convert their body to its original mystique form quite quickly. Once this is done, those individuals will be ready to be brought back home to Eieneos with no issues. This is definitely great news for me since it would move the plans of making the kingdom more productive a lot more smoothly.
Through my travels around the human realm such as around Hoffen City, the areas I passed through on my way to Arista, the rescue mission in Crimson Kingdom and even during my stay Sklavryet, I was actually able to encounter several of those people who have golden sparkles in their aura. Since I thought that I have to wait patiently for their current life to end, I simply placed a mark on their soul and asked for my parents for some help to keep a tab on those people so I know where they are at any given time when the time comes to fetch them back.
The last meeting required the presence of all of us living in the kingdom. The last topic was a discussion on how we can all better support the existence of the realm where our kingdom is. All five of us (me, Samir, Luxiel, Touya and Altair), have been supporting this world through our mana since I first opened it several months back.
Although it was forced at first since those four were sleeping, they gladly continued the task after they woke up. As part of the commitment, we made it a point to give our share of mana every day with no fail.
My parents have started giving their support as well. It wasn't much though since they have only recently formed their corporeal bodies and haven't regained their original strength. They promised to contribute more gradually as they regain their previous mana pool.
Ioannis was exempted from the contribution for now since his mana is still at most about 15% of what I currently have. He was originally a human with barely negligible mana and has just started studying how to use it.
Since he is not a pure blooded mystique and was only deified, his limit would be at about 60% of my full mana pool once his body has fully adapted. He has to use a part of his mana to learn spells from my mother and the rest was used solely for milk production for our twins.
The twins have also been contributing a little bit of their mana everyday though I really did not want them to do so. Even if they are born to a deified father, they are still full blooded mystique due to my bloodline characteristic so they will end up with a similar amount of mana as I have when they are fully grown.
As for how I know, I can talk to them telepathically so we can communicate freely as if they are already grown ups. As for verbally, there was still no hope since I can only hear babbles and a lot of incoherent words and syllables. They expressed their strong will to me telepathically that they wanted to support the existence of the kingdom too.
My father supported the twins' desire to help since it was actually a good practice for my children to expend most of their mana on a daily basis to increase the limitations of their mana pool gradually. I could only take back my previous refusal as my twins stared at me with their cute puppy-dog eyes and my father's strong assurance that he will make sure they do not hurt themselves in the process.
