Chapter 91: We Are The Core!

Jayden was spending some time with the system when he learned some other things. Just like the rest of the unexpected features, this one was no different, as the system continued to leave him in shock.

[As The Dominus, all the Tasks you will have to complete will be Black Level Tasks, the highest level of tasks in the system.]

[Rest assured, all rewards gained from these tasks will be doubled upon completion.]

[And with the hidden identity of The Dominus maintained, every income the EC Consortium makes will always be doubled. That way, the rise in wealth will be rapid for crucial future purposes.]

[Ride on, Dominus.]

"Why do I feel like this name’s making me high? Okay, maybe I’ll prefer being called Jayden indoors. The mention of The Dominus feels like it contains liquor," Jayden muttered, shaking his head.

He stood up right after and stepped out of his room.

In the living room, The Core had already arrived and were waiting for him to show up.

Today, The Dominus would officially open the EC Consortium, where they had already bought a newly built skyscraper in Spring City, a city located at the southern end of New Wiston State.

It was about seventy kilometers away from Cloudbridge City, and Jayden had his reasons for not establishing the EC Consortium in Cloudbridge City.

Firstly, he wanted the suspicion probability to be extremely low, and staying away from Zintech and the Kingsleys ensured that.

Secondly, he had the idea that Spring City had been growing commercially and would soon become a top city like Cloudbridge.

In fact, it was already ranked 4th among the best cities in Nortasia, following Tons, which was second to Cloudbridge, and Cloudbridge was second to the capital, NorthVille.

The skyscraper was a thirty-floor building almost entirely made of strong, durable glass. They appeared to be bulletproof, which was a high-security feature.

It was said to have cost two billion dollars, but the work on it was art, which revealed that it was definitely worth it.

Unfortunately, as The Dominus, Jayden wouldn’t be there.

For now, he had to remain unseen, and the ladies would be in charge of the outdoor activities.

"Here’s the speech I wrote. Deliver it on my behalf, and tell anyone who asks that I’ll remain anonymous for the time being, but I’ll be indirectly present in every activity, as The Core will serve my orders," Jayden said.

He handed the black envelope containing the paper to Camilia, the Frontline.

Camilia nodded and turned to the rest of the ladies. "We’ll put on the mask. Charlotte already implanted the device that alters our voices, the Vox Morpher."

Charlotte nodded as she stepped forward confidently, her time to show off her first craft as the super technologist.

"The Vox Morpher is a voice modulation chip. I implanted it into our masks, which Paula here crafted with her engineering team. The Vox Morpher will grasp every wave of sound from our actual voices and change it to something else. That way, we won’t be recognized or suspected."

They also dyed their hair black, a temporary dye that could be removed at any time but was highly effective when in use.

New dresses they had never worn in their actual identities. New shoes. New jewelry.

It had cost a lot, but even so, Jayden made sure that they all looked super expensive in these new identities, which would surely leave a huge impression on the people.

Finally, they left with Camilia, the President leading them out. Jayden watched them leave and later went back inside. He threw himself on the soft couch and gave a bitter smile.

"Surely, playing The Dominus will be a lot more boring," he muttered as he switched on the TV.

The ladies landed at the private landing ground The Dominus had bought. They had arrived by helicopter, all dressed in white suits and shoes.

A range of cars was already waiting.

Six white Rolls-Royces, about five security power bikes, and four security SUVs.

They moved straight to the city without wasting much time, knowing it might be a stressful opening ceremony at the office.

All the ladies had a Rolls-Royce each, greatly secured every minute as the convoy moved forward.

Their names were written on the plates at the back of their cars... their codenames, to be precise.

It didn’t take long before the fast-moving convoy stopped at the parking lot of the newly built skyscraper.

There was a considerable number of people waiting outside the compound for The Dominus to arrive.

Everyone was hoping to see the man show up today, but no one expected the disappointment that was incoming.

Many cheered when the convoy was spotted, but jaws dropped when they saw only a group of six stunning ladies stepping out.

Many thought The Dominus was waiting to show up last, but they soon had to accept the fact that he wasn’t there.

"Where is The Dominus?!"

"Who is The Dominus?!"

"We want to see The Dominus!"

Shouts rose from outside, as some reporters began chasing after the ladies, the security personnel pushing back anyone who came too close.

"Excuse me, ma’am. Can you tell us who The Dominus is to you?"

"What do you have to say about The Dominus not showing up here today?"

"Which one of you is married to The Dominus?"

It was beginning to get chaotic outside, as the reporters wouldn’t relent. At a point, Camilia decided to give them a moment for questions.

"Okay, go on..."

A reporter rejoiced like she had won a lottery and quickly asked her question.

"Who is The Dominus? And who are you ladies to The Dominus? Many have been disappointed by his absence here today... How do you respond to that?"

Camilia gave a short nod.

"Well, as for the first question, The Dominus is The Dominus. There’s no other name to that. He has a simple message for those curious about him... He said he will reveal himself when the time is right."

Chatter rose, but she ignored it.

"As for the other questions," Camilia smiled and turned to Harper, who was at her right-hand side.

It was as if she had signaled her, and indeed it seemed like it.

Harper stepped forward and voiced:

"We are The Core. The pillars of The Dominus’s empire."
