Chapter 73: He Is... Right

When Jayden got to the office, he had already had an idea in mind. First, he knew he would have to establish an entirely new department for the App Creation project, which would definitely cost some big money.

But it was worth it.

He met Sabrina to discuss more about the idea with her, since they had suggested it together in the first place. Plus, she is the company’s Grand Ambassador, which gives her almost every right to know whatever the Chairman had in mind for the company.

"Sit," Jayden said as she entered the office.

"I was about to collect the latest reports from all departments before you called me, sir..."

Sabrina explained as she entered, but Jayden quickly snapped.

"Nah, I have a different cause here today," he said, glancing at her. "About the App Creation idea I got. I want us to go ahead with it as soon as possible."

Sabrina blinked. "That’s another project, sir."

"I know. But it’s not going to affect the other. First, we would build a new factory and name it Zintech Social Tech. The we carry on with our first project, creating an incredible app."

Sabrina nodded. She quickly took her jotter to pen down some things before turning to ask him.

"Sir, do you already have an idea of what kind of app we are creating? The normal video-sharing and chatting apps are everywhere. We might just increase the competition rate if we do the same and it won’t favor us."

Jayden smiled. "I thought as much, that’s why I had brought a unique concept. You can always trust me on that."

Sabrina didn’t hesitate to nod in approval. Of course he is the one that always thinks outside the box. Taking the idea of the Ai-powered car project as an example.

No one would have thought about go far with an advantage ai project. Sure, Ai was already existing and dominating technology, but Jayden’s idea was at the peak of it all... An AI that knows every damn route in the world and can drive you there?

The only missing feature the car might lack was to fly, and sure, Jayden was going to see to that.

He definitely had that in mind.

"So, what’s the plan, sir?" Sabrina then asked.

"Good question. We are creating a mood-based app where users can share their moods and connect with users that feels the same way. Not just that... We are also adding a feature where users can connect with people of the same social and physical interests, and passion.

This would help a lot in bringing many people of the same likes and behaviours together, and I’m certainly sure there are millions of people who are wishing it’s possible."

Sabrina nodded in amazement, as she found it smart.

"It can also help in building relationships between many, acting on their interests. For instance, a lady can just search for the kind of man or friend she wants and connected with many of that kind."

When Jayden was done explaining, Sabrina just couldn’t help the amazed smile on her face.

Again, the boss had thought outside the box and was about to bring another banger.

"That’s... That’s superb boss," she said.

"Yep, but you know... That’s going to be a lot of work for us and the technologists. We have to begin in no time to get things done quickly. We would start with the construction of the factory first," Jayden said.

"Noted, sir. I’ll contact our building engineers right away..." She said before leaving.

With his main ambition today completed, he was set to go home when his secretary walked in.

He recognised her immediately.

Charlotte Nike...

That stunning beauty.

"Good day, boss. Umm, we got some messages earlier today. Here," she said as she handed the report to Jayden.

Jayden read silently with his eyes sharp, showing almost no interest since he didn’t want to waste time with affairs of other rival companies.

He already knew it was some messages from other rivals, but at least he would read them.

The first was a stamped letter from Kint Automobile.

"Congratulations on acquiring the company... I wish you great success in the years to come, and I hope you don’t fall deeper than the previous owner did."

’Tsk! Bloody son of a bitch!’ Jayden cursed inwardly.

The next was a message from X Automobile, where the Chairman talked about being ready to face the challenge and promised that he would never be in the big league.

"Zintech is fated to fall!"

That was the late line he read.

Jayden only gave a wry smile to that and tossed the paper to the side, before reaching the last.

And that last letter...

Kings Automobile...

An car-production company owned by the Kingsleys.

Sure, Jayden already figured they would have known he was the new owner of Zintech, and he couldn’t wait to give their message a read.

"Your father must be proud wherever he is..."

Jayden glared at once as he read that line.

"He sure would be. But he must be scared for you too, because you have no idea of the game you are entering into."

"You really don’t. If you do, you wouldn’t have bought a company sinking in debt just because it got cheaper..."

Jayden clenched hard.

"You are welcome to challenge us anyway, but there’s an assurance the Coles would always be the losing side. You will fall, just like your father."

...

Now that the least of messages Jayden expected. This wasn’t just about business... It was deeper. And the fact that it was a message from the Kingsleys made it clear...

Jayden even figured Royce wrote it, because Gregory was more a action man than a talkative.

With a dark look, he dropped all the papers and permitted Charlotte to leave the office.

With a sigh, his thoughts spread over the whole controversy. Even now, he knew his battle with the Kingsleys had began.

They are currently the bestselling Automobile Company in New Wiston, which makes them the boss around.

Likes of Mercedes Benz, McLaren, Lamborghini and Rolls Royce are brands from other countries, and her top talks, some when comparing, many people lives them aside because of their specialty.

Now Jayden had a challenge... One that he had to take to mind.

And he had welcomed it, with pleasure.

"Kings Auto-fucking-mobile... Game on."

******

Second day at the court, and the heat and stirred up.

The gathering today now bigger than the first. Perhaps it was because they wanted to witness Gregory Kingsley being sentenced for Life Imprisonment... Perhaps it was because they wanted to see his comeback.

No one had a final judge yet, but this was getting hotter for sure.

This time, it was the plaintiff’s Attorney Merinda Hart who was starting the questioning.

"Gregory Kingsley, I urge you to come out before this honourable court."

Gregory stepped out, walking magnanimously as always. He always had that act of pride in him wherever he was, boasting of his connections and wealth.

Merinda gave him a slight look of disdain before she before reached the stand, and then went straight to asking her question.

"Mr. Kingsley. Is Mara Newton’s accusation on you true?" She asked.

"No. She lied."

He gave a straight answer without any look of fear, standing firm like he was just undergoing a questionnaire.

"How do you defend yourself?" Merinda then asked.

"I am being framed here. I never did all that... An investigation should be made on how that recording was made. It must be something Artificial Intelligence."

Murmurs rose in the room, as many began making side talks that kept the room hot for a moment before the judge commanded silence.

"So, Mr. Kingsley. You are saying that you were framed by Miss Mara Newton? You mean all that she had revealed to us was forged?"

"Yes."

The murmurings rose and died in no time, as the lawyer turned to the judge.

"My lord, I believe there is some complications here. While I certainly believe Mr. Kingsley is making a falsehood, I think it would be more diplomatic to carry out an investigation on the recordings and bring Miss Mara for more questioning."

The judge nodded at once.

"That’s fair. Let the record witness come forward."

Mara was on one end sitting with a completely unusual look on her face. She didn’t feel well, but she still had to force a straight look.

She sensed that look of confidence and trust from Naylah and the Vanes, as she walked past them.

Her heart almost broke, as she had definitely not gotten the consideration done.

She didn’t want her family to die, and also didn’t want to speak against the truth.

At this point, she was left with a two options, and she must choose before she gets to that stand. If she makes any unusual act, she becomes a suspect.

Many thoughts in her mind, and she was slowly going crazy.

When she got to the stand, Merinda then approached her and asked.

"Mr. Kingsley just stated that your recordings are false. He also stated that you were paid to frame him. What is your response to that?"

The entire court was on Mara at that moment, as it looked like an object with the weight of a mountain was on her.

Those stares around... Every eye was striking. And she was shrinking after every second.

But then, she finally decided to speak, even though it took her forever.

"He... He is right..."

At that instant, chaos exploded.
