Chapter 61: Blood Contract

The plane landed with a smooth hum at the private terminal of NorthVille International Airport.

The moment Jayden stepped out of the jet, which he had rented, the breeze that greeted him was different from Cloudbridge’s. Colder... sharper. The kind of cold that whispered power. After all, this was NorthVille, the capital city of Nortasia and home to some of the biggest financial sharks in the world.

Waiting just at the exit was a sleek black Maybach with dark tinted windows. Standing beside it was a man in a formal black suit and gloves, bowing slightly as Jayden approached.

"Welcome to NorthVille, Mr. Jayden Cole. I am here on behalf of the VIREX Trading Corporation," the man greeted respectfully.

Jayden nodded calmly. "Let’s go."

The door was opened for him and he slid into the comfortable backseat. The car started moving immediately, cruising through the bright city streets. High-rise towers gleamed under the afternoon sun, and the city pulsed with the energy of money and power.

Jayden watched silently through the window, but he knew he wasn’t here for sightseeing.

It didn’t take long before the car smoothly drove into the private underground parking lot of the VIREX Headquarters, a towering 38-story glass building that looked like a spear piercing into the sky.

When the door opened, two men were already waiting at the entrance to the private elevator. One of them was Carlos, the manager who had called him. Beside him stood a tall man with slicked-back gray hair and sharp features.

Chairman Nate.

Though it was after he approached them that he was notified of their identity.

The moment Jayden stepped out, both men greeted him with respect, their faces filled with a mixture of admiration and caution.

"Mr. Jayden Cole," Carlos stepped forward, offering a handshake. "Welcome to VIREX."

Jayden shook his hand lightly, then nodded at Nate.

"I’m Carlos. The one who called you earlier. This is Nate Miller, the Chairman of VIREX Trading Corporation."

They all exchanged handshakes after the introduction and went straight to business.

"Please, this way," Nate said, guiding him into the elevator.

The ride up was silent but heavy. Everyone knew why they were here... This wasn’t just a courtesy visit. This was business at the highest level.

When they arrived at the Chairman’s private office, the place was already prepared. The large mahogany desk gleamed under the lights, while three cups of fine black coffee were set on the side table.

"Please, have a seat." Nate gestured politely.

Jayden nodded and sat, crossing his legs as his sharp eyes scanned the two men.

Carlos wasted no time.

"First of all, Mr. Jayden... we sincerely want to express our deepest gratitude. What you have done with VIREX Coin is unprecedented. You practically raised the bar overnight."

Jayden smiled faintly but didn’t say a word.

Nate chuckled awkwardly. "To be frank with you, Mr. Jayden, when we started this project, we never expected someone to acquire four hundred thousand VIREX Coins. At the current value of $250,000 per coin... your holdings are now worth around..."

"Exactly one hundred billion dollars!" Carlos completed, unable to hide the awe in his tone.

Jayden leaned slightly forward. "And you know very well what that means for you."

Nate nodded. "Indeed. Your presence alone gives VIREX unimaginable stability in the market. Your investment brought in countless buyers who followed the surge. You’ve made us stronger."

Jayden’s smile sharpened. "That’s why I’m interested in having a conversation with with you."

Nate and Carlos exchanged glances at once. They had been waiting for this moment.

"You both want to secure the company’s future," Jayden continued, his tone low but firm. "And I want to secure my own interests as well. You see, I’m not just an investor."

He paused, letting his words sink in.

"I am building something much bigger than this. And for that reason, my identity as the man who bought four hundred thousand VIREX Coins... Must never be exposed."

The air shifted instantly. Both Nate and Carlos straightened, listening carefully.

"I will not allow the public to know that Jayden Cole holds this amount of power," he continued. "To the world, this man does not exist. From today forward, you will address him only as..."

He smirked slightly, his voice deepening as he he made a long pause before finally saying it.

"The Dominus."

Carlos blinked, while Nate narrowed his eyes. They were tense yet curious, wondering why he would want to hide his crazily wealthy identity, and Jayden sensed it.

"The Dominus..." Nate whispered. "Understood."

Though they were surprised, that didn’t mean they would question him.

Jayden gave them a straight look, fearing betrayal and then decided to go hard.

"This is a serious one, gentlemen. If the world knew my identity, it would invite unnecessary eyes, dangerous competitors, and threats I don’t intend to deal with right now."

He had to say that. Of course they was part of the possible reasons, but they weren’t near his real reasons.

"We understand," Nate nodded seriously. "Absolute confidentiality."

But Jayden wasn’t done yet.

"To ensure that... I want a binding blood contract. One that will assure that your deals are kept permanently."

Carlos suddenly gulped slightly as Nate raised an eyebrow but remained calm.

"Blood contract?" Nate muttered. "That’s... a serious measure."

"It has to be serious," Jayden stated coldly. "Because when I make my next moves, The Dominus will rise as one of the most powerful forces in Nortasia. And you two will have front-row seats, as long as you honor this deal."

Carlos glanced at Nate nervously, but Nate simply exhaled.

"I have no problem with that," the Chairman finally said. "Bring out the contract."

Nate ordered Carlos to bring out the paper from a briefcase at the side, forwarding it to Jayden at first.

Jayden unrolled it slowly on the desk.

The contract wasn’t some ordinary legal paper. This was a real unique contract paper, the kind that ensure both soul and tongue to secrecy.

Jayden placed a small knife on his thumb and cut it a little, stumping it on the required signature spot.

Then he forwarded it to them.

"Just a slight cut and a thumb stump each," he said.

Nate looked at Carlos, then picked up the knife first, slicing his thumb lightly. A single thumb of crimson was drawn on the contract.

Carlos followed nervously but did the same.

And in a moment, the pact was sealed.

"From this day forward," Jayden’s voice echoed calmly, "The Dominus exists. Jayden is just the simple Chairman of Zintech in Cloudbridge City.

Carlos and Nate both nodded in unison.

"Understood, Mr. Dominus."

Jayden leaned back into the chair, satisfied. Now he had done what the system asked.

"Now then..." His eyes gleamed darkly. "We can start the next phase of business."

Nate smiled faintly. "VIREX will fully support you, sir. Your success is ours."

"And make no mistake," Jayden added, his tone icy. "Betrayal... means... death."

There was silence again.

Dead serious.

Jayden stood up and buttoned his suit calmly.

"I guess that’s all. We’ll discuss more about our partnership later on."

Nate stood with him, his respect evident. "We shall await your future instructions, Mr. Dominus."

Without another word, Jayden nodded in approval and left the office, his shoes echoing confidently through the long glass hallway.

As the elevator doors closed, a smirk crossed his lips.

The era of The Dominus has begun!
