At 3 a.m., the pale moonlight spilled over the suburbs, pungent gunsmoke mixed with the thick scent of blood, spread around the fort, frightening even the timid bugs to crawl far away. The chirping of crickets ceased, enveloped by an eerie silence.

After the ninth Teleportation Gate was destroyed and the remaining bugs were killed, the survivors, not minding the filth, sat down on the ground, leaning against the Wall, panting heavily. They were soaked to the bone, water could be wrung from their clothes.

Yu Manli’s hair stuck to her forehead, feeling itchy, but she didn’t bother to tidy it up. After rubbing her arm across it, she tore open a package and stuffed a piece of Chocolate into her mouth to replenish her energy.

"If you can’t eat, you die – which do you choose?" Yu Manli pulled out a box of Chocolate, tossing it beside the German flight attendant, "Here, go distribute these."

This was the third combat team, which, aside from the mature woman and the female anchor, consisted of Xu Liangmao, Platoon Leader Gao, and his six soldiers, as well as a German flight attendant.

Dantai, temporarily using Ai Yixin’s Shadowless Bow, pulled back with full force; a thick arrow swelled to full size. Accompanied by the twang of the bowstring, it shot out like a Meteor, striking the Teleportation Gate and causing it to crack.

True to its name as an Assault-type siege weapon, incredibly violent, after the third shot, the Teleportation Gate littered with cracks shattered. Then Dantai began furiously bombing the Teleportation Gates of the Overlord Beetles.

"Open fire, why aren’t you shooting?" Li Guaizi finished the Ammunition Box for his MG42 and bellowed while replacing the bullet chain. Due to the tension, he had forgotten that this kind of questioning would get him corrected by the Conquerors.

"It’s only in dire circumstances that the Mother Fort will offer support. Otherwise, we have to rely on ourselves." Zuo Yi explained, currently manning an M2 Heavy Machine Gun. Even with the Thunderstorm Magazine, he had to be frugal with its use.

"Although Tang Zheng and the others are not on the front line, they face even greater pressure." Xu Biyun added, explaining that while the Group Leader was on the second line, they were responsible for the entire Battlefield and couldn’t allow any Sub-castle to collapse.
